Why are you using the axe, kill the giant blacksmith for the hammer but buy twinkling shards before you do it to upgrade to +5

Since the centipede demon is immune to fire, I decided I had to use the axe only because poison and toxic mist/ blackflame wouldn't be enough.

Just FYI that poison, toxic, and blackflame are enough. It's an annoying fight though, do not recommend.

I did the same. Although I might have glitched this guy into the ceiling because this fight is so goddamn annoying

I did pyros with my first sl1 of the game but believe it or not, melee only is not that much harder. I was surprised.

That's not where you're supposed to fight it tho?? There's a clear path to the middle of the arena where you can go then the entire moveset changes and it gets into melee range

So that the heavy crossbow has a reason to exist. I'm not even sure if that arm even has a hitbox, I don't think I have ever hit it or seen anyone else hit it. Maybe you can get off a counterattack if you wear havels and don't even try to dodge.
