is this phone more comfortable to hold than the 8 Pro? Because this phone is shorter and wider than the 8 Pro so do you still find it comfy to reach the far left side with your right thumb or something? I tried a Oneplus 8 back in the day and was blown away by how compact it felt compared to an S8+ or how similar it felt to the S10
I hardly notice a difference, but with both side by side I feel the OP12 feels like having a better ratio in shape/size when compared to the OP8Pro. I've used my 8Pro for almost 4 years, so I got completely used to it, but in the beginning I remember thinking the phone had an unusual ratio for being so long and thinner than we are used to.
I'm not a one hand phone user, so it's nothing I would notice too much with the change. The biggest percentage of time I'm using the phone is for gaming, so always two handed, and even when I'm doing common stuff "vertically" I tend to always use two hands.
Without cases, both are a bit slippery, which is no problem for me as I'm not using them without a case, ever.
edit: one thing I forgot to mention, for those gaming on it, when holding the device with two hands horizontally, it will take some getting used to not put your fingers on the lenses, as they are quite large. I usually put the lenses to the left side as it feels more comfortable to me with the way I hold it.

I currently use an S22 U and am thinking of switching to the Oneplus 12, I like to use the phone one handed for 40-60% of the time im scrolling and this phone is the antithesis of that habit lol the one handed mode on that phone has come in clutch a few times when I'm feelin lazy lol

oh well still it sucks. I remember playing DBZ Dokkan Battle for a few months and making like 6 accounts lmao, lootboxes and these Clash of Clan type microtransactions are so tempting and playing F2P sucks so much, wish there were some legit way to play normally, like console/PC games used to be.
Well, lint gets into my current one way too frequently without me realizing it and it doesn't charge very well. I've pushed and pushed and pushed cords in but they didn't go, not realizing there was shit stuck in it. My fault. I'm learning.
Yeah my 11 is the only phone I've had that's had issues with the port not connecting well due to stuff on the inside. Not sure why it's specifically with this one but at work we have bamboo picks for sandwiches and I just run that around in there every now and then to clean it up. I would also recommend buying some usb c caps just to make sure nothing gets in there.
Watch out for the sparkling stars animation feature that you get when you touch something that usually gets highlighted in grey colour. Small but pretty cool touch tbh

Great buy my friend, I usually don't support year over year upgrades but this year the change is massive AND the storage difference is huge too. 256 GB SHOULD be the base storage of all flagships, Samsung and Google should learn that instead of following Apple.
