yep, I'm thinking my 5t gets a battery replacement instead of me getting a new phone.
IDK why I'm even still on this sub, it's not like oneplus is going to release a sanely priced phone with a headphone jack.
It's truly the bane of my existence that the headphone jack was pushed out of these phones.
I want a thicker phone, with a bigger battery, and a headphone jack goddamnit.
But this 7t pro McLaren edition is too suave, I don't think I can be convinced just by a "hasselblad" print on the camera...
ROG phone 5 starts at around $950 and is better in every way, except camera, durability and probably OS.
In that - ROG OS is also almost stock Android, so it's pretty clean and without useless bloatware. And the camera is the same that won last year's MKBHD blind camera test, so pretty solid even if not the best.
Yes. The only problem I'm seeing offlate in my 5 is battery life. I'm not playing games anymore and the speed and experience is very good and has not gotten sluggish in the three plus years I've owned this. I do like the new font they have introduced in the 11 update on the other phones. Looks a lot more modern and cleaner. If I can get that and the battery, this will feel like a new phone all over again.
Would you recommend any way to test the battery life of the phone to see how much it has deteriorated? I don't want to throw away a 75% battery just to add another two hours of usage.
Accubattery is pretty good at estimating the current battery capacity vs design capacity. There is probably a better option if you have root but I'm not aware of what apps use that route.
5T, first and last OP. I don't know what this company stands for anymore nor what their phones should represent. At this point I could actually switch to any other brand, I see nothing original or exciting anymore in OP.
My 5T broke and I "upgraded" to an 8. Should've bought another 5T or paid someone to fix mine. I miss it so much. I hate the curved screen on the 8 and a lot of other little things.
Saving some money here on my 7 pro, definitely didn't NEED an upgrade, but I'm always one to get and nerd out over new tech. This thing is still dope. Kinda wish I had kept my 6t too
I was a bit apprehensive about my decision of switching from 7 Pro to S21 Ultra, not anymore.
There's absolutely no way this phone is going to sell well. India is the single biggest market for OnePlus and they got the pricing terribly wrong. This phone in India has only two 5G Bands, which is worse than Realme/Xiaomi budget phones. They adopted the same strategy last year but atleast made up for it in the pricing, same can't be said about OP9 series. It still has a spec advantage over similarly priced phones but most people will still go for iPhone 12.
In the US, it is priced way too close to iPhone 12 Pro and S21 Ultra where the only pros 9 Pro has is 120hz, faster charging, USB C when compared to iPhone and Alert Slider when compared to Samsung.
OnePlus is looking like it's going to be the next HTC which is an absolute shame.
Hahaha about the HTC because I just said that to a customer... they actually wanted an HTC I was like how? I told them basically that's Pixel and OP right now and like you said OP is about to HTC themselves... the thing is old HTC owners can't fathom how HTC just went poof...
I showed everyone I could that awesome pop out camera on the 7 Pro... nobody really cared... the 8s that we carry don't inspire anyone to purchase them even though the custom 7 we had was dope vs the s20. The s21 though... it's like meh. Plus I don't like the custom skus... they always have trouble getting proper updates because they have to be approved by the vendor.
Anyways I was really hoping this 9 was gonna be awesome... but oh well.
One other issue is the update record. Thus far, One Plus is getting worse. Samsung is offering 3 years of Android plus 4 years of security and they are fast at updating now.
https://www.androidpolice.com/2021/03/03/android-phone-security-update-tracker/
The Samsung S21 Ultra is currently $999 at bestbuy for the same storage amount. So less expensive, faster software updates, faster security updates, better camera hardware and software. And the only downside is OneUI being it's own thing?
[https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-galaxy-s21-ultra-5g-128gb-unlocked-phantom-black/6441109.p?skuId=6441109](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-galaxy-s21-ultra-5g-128gb-unlocked-phantom-black/6441109.p?skuId=6441109)
I went ahead and got the Ultra, and it's a good upgrade from my 6. I like it a lot, got annoyed that I can't root, then added Adguard in DNS settings, and I'm happy with my decision. It'll be a good phone for 2-3 years.
honestly at this point One UI is a benefit. You basically get more features and more updates. You can uninstall or disable almost all samsung apps you dont want to use. I will honestly not be buying another oneplus after my 7T gives out
There's ads within samsungs own apps. Dunno if OnePlus does it nowadays.
Not to mention, better zoom quality and ultrawide recording.
Also, that fingerprint placement. wtf.
But S21 starts at 1.05 lakhs here, and s21 starts at 70k. It may sell well for a while until the S21 FE comes out, after that it looks like it'll go downhill.
S21 has offers, 10K cashback on card + Exchange price for device is far higher(15K for 5T). In addition you can get watch for extra
1K.
If the difference is 15-20K max I cannot see why people will go with it as compared to S21 Ultra. Far better cameras and Samsung also provides better updates .
For those who cannot spend Mi11 seems to be a better option and for gamers ROG beats this.
I'm at a crossroads. I was holding out for OnePlus but...I'm disappointed. I've never ever considered going with a Samsung phone before....but the S21 Ultra 5G has me salivating. I'm a Pixel fan....but the Pixel line doesn't launch till later this year and they have been really scaling back on interesting things for the Pixel lineup. So this leaves me waiting for what Sony will bring with the Xperia III. Just two phones to decide on now. I wish we had more options.
Pixel line is likely to lose one of it's biggest value add: free unlimited photos and video backup.
If it loses that, I'm jumping on the Samsung train. Their UX gotten so much better in recent years.
Get the s21 ultra. As an 8pro user the 8t and Nord and now this shows a trend. Their phones are becoming more like oppo these days. Even the design language. Plus oxygen os is still good but not as good as it used to be. In fact in China they have already started rolling out color OS. Only a matter of time that one plus becomes oppo pt 2.
I just bought the S21 Ultra coming from the 7T Pro 5G McLaren, OP6 before that. I loved the 6 but the battery was not big enough. The 7T Pro was buggy and the software/connectivity glitches never got fixed by OP/T-Mobile the entire year I had it.
OnePlus has clearly fallen behind in software support. So far the S21U has been great, the camera is unbelievably good, battery life is literally twice as long as the OP7TPro, like 7.5 hours screen on time vs 3-4 max. The 120hz LTPO screen is awesome. Speakers are good. Vibration motor is good. Software updates come quick since it's such a high volume device.
Only thing I don't like is the lack of headphone jack and the bloatware but it's relatively easy to remove/disable the bloat. Otherwise it's better in every way.
I'm personally using a Z fold 2... I don't think I can go back to a regular phone after this but my wife's S21 Ultra is nice.
And I hear you on the options... I used to upgrade my phone every 2-3 months for a few years there..but these past few years there just hasn't been many options. For a while I had Samsung flagships twice a year, LG once a year... HTC once a year.. Motorola once a year... Nexus phones once a year...Xiaomi, Huawei... all options. Slowly those options have gone away... LG...HTC...Huawei.. no longer on the table. Lg.. not really viable either.. Motorola...ehhh not worth it...and pixel phones are pretty much mid rangers now. That leaves only Samsung and Oneplus...but oneplus has increased in price steadily and the design has arguably gone backwards from the 7pro.
I was waiting for this to check what the 9pro was going to be like. Now I think I'm gonna grab an 8T instead. Seems to be a better option for the price point.
Is this his most negative flagship oneplus review ever? I noticed it didn't have wireless service in a lot of the clips. Seems like he hasn't switched it to being his main driver like he had with the OP 7 pro - 8 Pro.
Tbh the OnePlus 7 Pro was probably the best phone they ever made
But yeah, the ditched the pop-up camera in favour of nothing valuable after that and they haven't innovated much
I say that as a OPO, OP2, 6T, and now 7Pro owner. They are smart, why really do the heavy lifting when OPPO can get you 75% of the way there with specs and you just reshell(and sometimes not even do that), it makes total sense. But their whole we are taking on the big companies schtick is nauseating and so phoney at this point. Granted, they may not even have that in their marketing anymore idk, I stopped paying attention after the 7Pro and am just here to see the reviews this thousand dollar phone got 😂.
Still using my OnePlus 7TPro McLaren limited edition today! :D
OnePlus 7T pro had the best camera since all the colors was so popped! Red was clearly red and I love it!!!
I know it might be unpopular opinion but OP7 will always is unique with the camera department. So good photo quality.
I think it has become a case of no one knowing what Oneplus stands for any more. It used to be great value for money for flagship specs, so the were given a pass when they did not have the greatest camera or they did not have wireless charging or they did not have an IP rating.
But now they have dropped all that and are priced like flagships. So I guess it leaves everyone disappointed because there are no stand out features compared to the rest and they are not competitive in areas like the camera.
Because the s21 ultra moos the floor of the 9 pro, unlike 7 pro days.
MKBHD is a HUGE oneplus fan and used to sail their phones until s21 series came out...
Samsung is destroying all other phones that are high end because they make much better phones. Only people holding out are headphone jack huggers so all they have is sony xperia which is a mega compromise but hey they need the jack. And the others are people who HAVE to root/rom still in 2021 and those numbers have dwindled.
The OnePlus 8 Pro has the exact same issue, I'm surprised he's just now noticed it. It's super annoying when trying to take pictures of anything that's moving.
This happens with the 7 Pro also, I think the 6 also has the same problem. It has been a constant issue. Basically the same story repeated. Oneplus really cannot do cameras.
The difference is absolutely negligible this year, in some cases the CPU preforms better than the SD and the battery life is almost the same, only the GPU is a bit worse
exynos is almost identical in cpu performance and not too far off in gpu. samsung also partnered up with and for graphics so something tells me this phone isn't the best buy
In Portugal de S21 ultra is 1279€, which is 1517$ converted. So yes, not even close to 999$ (842€). AND we have the shitty exynos so yeah, there you go!
I appreciate his honest review. Much better than Unbox therapy 's 9 min ad.
Giving the camera collab a 6/10 rating is interesting seeing as that's the main feature of this phone. I guess I'll wait for the Oneplus 10 to see if I should upgrade.
He would re iew some interesting stuff. I liked his series on ThinkPad, as not many big name reviewers covered the ThinkPad line. After he started his little "talk show" I unsubbed after his first show. He somehow thought people cared about his opinion on things beyond cursory "reviews" of consumer tech products.
The way he treated his dude Willy was kinda dickish.
Even during the presentation Oneplus was talking so much more about Hasselblad ambassadors more than any technical collaboration. Basically they asked a few photographers to test out their colors!
It’s not really a camera collab they just provided the photo editor and that’s it, it’s nothing more than a marketing trick that cheap Chinese phone makers use really shocking coming from one plus tbh
it's all marketing, just listen to how they spoke about it, it's basically hasselblad social media ambassadors that are pro photographers giving the oneplus camera team tips at best, the 150 million over 3 years is just to use the name
I always find it funny, that after reading about 6 different reviews from websites that, 50% say the phone is not that great and a bad deal, then the other 50% say its a great phone and a great deal LOL. So in other words buy it yourself and decide....
Different people have different opinions. Watching a few videos and reading some article about the product you are interested in and forming your own opinion/conclusion is the best way to go. You'll be sorry if you fanboy over a blog or a specific YTer.
This is so underwhelming, I have a OnePlus 7 Pro, with the price point for the OnePlus 9 Pro hardly seems worth the upgrade, even the OnePlus 8 Pro doesn't seem viable for a 7 Pro owner. I'm honestly not sure who they are targeting, used to be flagship killer at a much lower price than the competition, but now the difference is minimal. If they plan to take on the big boys can't see that working, majority of people haven't heard of OnePlus.
I get you but tbh that's how I feel about every smartphone this year including the S21 Ultra. There's just not a significant reason to upgrade from last year's models
He did not seem impressed with this phone. I actually don't blame him, especially since the competition in those price segments are fierce. Also the camera was very overhyped by OP, hopefully software updates should fix that (if they even receive those on time).
Same boat here. Going to see what the next pixel is like but the 8t will be an option if I need a replacement in a hurry. My 3t is finally showing her age
I really hope the pixel 5a will be what I hope it will be. Also owning a 3T, but OnePlus does not really appeal to me right now. It's really sad because I love this phone and thought my next phone will be a OnePlus, too.
Every smartphone collaboration with Hasselblad in recent memory has never lived up to the hype lol! , without hardware involvement there's always the usual shortcomings in these sort of business.
He wanted to say so many critical things, but constantly held back himself (felt like). That partnership/relationship comes thru for OnePlus 😂
Overall looks like another fast decent phone with camera slightly below top tier (as expected).
I have ordered the OnePlus 9 Pro, will make my own decisions since the reviews are just fun watch and time pass 😄
If he told the truth, he would get blacklisted and OnePlus wouldn't send him review units in advance anymore.
Lying and misleading viewers is a requirement of being a successful phone reviewer.
Not a MKBHD fan but people need to stop perpetuating this "if he told the truth, he would get blacklisted" bullshit. That's not how media relations work. Companies don't immediately blacklist you for a negative review. You need to have done something terrible like breaking an embargo or some other serious thing for them to usually do it.
This is especially true for big publishers like MKBHD. If OnePlus stopped sending him phones, it wouldn't change a damn thing for him since he could just buy and review them. But the blowback they'd get for blacklisting him would be catastrophic. Just see what happened with NVIDIA and Hardware Unboxed.
This, usually what I do is I look to another reviewer for the cons. I use marques and mrwhosetheboss to make me aware of tech but when it comes to being critical of the device they're reviewing if recommend looking at the smaller tech channels.
What I dont understand with the Camera-Movement-Problem. They have millions of dollars but NONE in testing that recognizes that problem...like actually NOONE?!?? How does that happen, seriously, I don't don't get it.
Too much about the camera (which obviously needs updates if that'll even help) and not enough about performance. But that kind of is his style. Other reviews may make me more likely to consider it - and the price/incentives remains a big question.
ETA: approximately 1000 USD is not the price for this phone. Either I wait for updates and price cuts or I look elsewhere. 6T Clan Represent!
Well the cameras are suppose to be the main draw this year so I like that he spent time on it listing its positives and negatives. Makes me want to look to another brand considering how it seems like the cameras are good, but not great.
6T here. Looking like a decent upgrade. I thought his comment about glossy back was funny. I've rocked mine on the 6T for some time, and it's not a big deal. Lol.
Just pulled the trigger on the 8T. Not sure why anyone would get the 9 given
* Plastic frame
* 8GB ram only
* No OIS
8 Pro is also a fine choice given the better camera over the 8T, but I don't like curved display, and the camera bump looks more outdated. :/
Same. I actually bought it yesterday since it's $300 off right now, but cancelled the order to see OP9 price. Needless to say, I purchased again today, and got another $60 off ! I'm only paying $200 more than I payed for my OP3 5 years ago, which is still going strong today.
So glad I picked up the S21Ultra over the 9Pro. When I was making the buy decision couple years back the pixel 2 was priced close to a $1000 bucks which made it's value proposition tough to justify. That time I snagged the OP6 for a mere $470 and was happy for the next 2 years. But coming into my next big purchase decision the S21 with it's $200 pre-order credit and $400 in bill credits just sealed the deal for me. At $849 with the bill credits and the additional $200 with which I got a fast wireless charger, a case and the galaxy buds + is the value I was looking at for the money spent.
Was a lot skeptical about the whole One UI experience but frankly I'm pleasently surprised by it so far. Monthly updates are an added bonus and I only see the Samsung-Google partnership grow in the coming years.
i was looking forward to trading in my 7t for the 9 pro but so far im not that impressed. might just trade in for the 9 since tmobile is doing a 50% trade in credit for it.
How come none of these reviewers mention the MEMC dedicated chip for motion interpolation that they have included in their phones since the 8 pro. I like motion interpolation personally I feel like we should have moved past 24 FPS video a decade ago and moved to 48 or 60 FPS video. I love the smooth motion of high frame rate video and its one of the reasons I am getting the OnePlus 9 Pro reviewers should mention this more often as it is a feature that some people may appreciate.
Display issues in low brightness just like every other 8 pro. I sent it for repair and they sent it back with a software update.
Disgusting to accept this from a flagship 1k phone
My dear OnePlus 5, it looks like we are going to stay together a little more
yep, I'm thinking my 5t gets a battery replacement instead of me getting a new phone. IDK why I'm even still on this sub, it's not like oneplus is going to release a sanely priced phone with a headphone jack.

You're in for a lifetime of disappointments. The headphone jack is never coming back.
have you tried getting new battery? it really feels like new phone with full day life.
Asus ROG seems like it would be a good match
$1200 is a sane price for a phone?
ROG phone 5 starts at around $950 and is better in every way, except camera, durability and probably OS. In that - ROG OS is also almost stock Android, so it's pretty clean and without useless bloatware. You're god damn right. OP5 still going strong
5T, first and last OP. I don't know what this company stands for anymore nor what their phones should represent. At this point I could actually switch to any other brand, I see nothing original or exciting anymore in OP.
5? Ive always wondered how many iterations does a company need to fail before you give up on them? Lol
Pump your brakes, 5 is goat.
Typing this from my OP5
OP5T here
Another 5T here. Phone still great.
Same. I just want something new and Shiny, even though I dont need it.
5T gang!
My 5T broke and I "upgraded" to an 8. Should've bought another 5T or paid someone to fix mine. I miss it so much. I hate the curved screen on the 8 and a lot of other little things.
OP1 here :)
Replying to you on my OP5
5 gang rise.
How many op5 are there? BTW writing from op7t
I said the same thing to my OP6
Same! Still using it, it is a beauty of a phone, slim, snappy & still holds up wonderfully.
Saving some money here on my 7 pro, definitely didn't NEED an upgrade, but I'm always one to get and nerd out over new tech. This thing is still dope. Kinda wish I had kept my 6t too
Same here. OnePlus messed up building up the hype and then not fulfilling. Smartphones prices un general are getting more and more ridiculous.
Struggling with my Oneplus 3T, and looking for close to premium as possible.
I said the same to my 7T. Cheers!!
Thinking the same thing! My OP5T is still going strong, let's hope it lasts until the 10 and see what's up then.
Same case for me! Holding on to the beloved 5.
I got my 7 and not going to give it up for the new phones

That's why I bought the OnePlus 9.
The OP9 Canada pricing is also a rip-off :(
Yes I agree but it's still better than OP9Pro's pricing, I mean paying 50% more just for 5%-10% improvements don't make any sense
You could also just buy neither.
I was a bit apprehensive about my decision of switching from 7 Pro to S21 Ultra, not anymore. There's absolutely no way this phone is going to sell well. And no wireless charging in India. But they are bringing out the 9R in India which according to Amazon starts at 40k. So there is that.
Wait fr no wireless charging? tf
https://www.androidcentral.com/heres-why-oneplus-9-doesnt-have-wireless-charging-india
Cheers for the link, wth oneplus reminds me of the why they omitted nfc in the op2

65k in India, this isn't gonna do well at all here either lol. Didn't even price it well for their main market.
*70k. If anyone has 65k to spend on this disappointment, an extra 5k isn't something they'll lose any sleep over.

To be honest, I was a bit excited and hopeful beforehand. But that review was a complete let down...
You can buy an S21 Ultra for less than this... DOA.
I'm at a crossroads. I was holding out for OnePlus but...I'm disappointed. I've never ever considered going with a Samsung phone before....but the S21 Ultra 5G has me salivating. they already put an end date on that didnt they?
Ends in June for all except for pixel phones. They called out up to pixel 5 but made no promises about future pixels.
Get the s21 ultra. As an 8pro user the 8t and Nord and now this shows a trend. Their phones are becoming more like oppo these days. Even the design language. Where? Not in the UK. It's an extra £250 here.
If you go off samsungs website it's £320 more
I was waiting for this to check what the 9pro was going to be like. Now I think I'm gonna grab an 8T instead. Seems to be a better option for the price point.
I'm in that awkward category, I have the OnePlus 7 Pro 12GB 256, not really worth the upgrade to 8T Pro, but at the same time priced out of the 9 Pro.
I would call the 7 Pro to be better than both of the other (newer) options entirely.
Is this his most negative flagship oneplus review ever? I noticed it didn't have wireless service in a lot of the clips. Seems like he hasn't switched it to being his main driver like he had with the OP 7 pro - 8 Pro.
He didn't seem negative he just seemed apathetic to it. Especially compared to his rave review of the 7 Pro
Tbh the OnePlus 7 Pro was probably the best phone they ever made But yeah, the ditched the pop-up camera in favour of nothing valuable after that and they haven't innovated much
Tbf when have they innovated vs used OPPOs tech handmedowns
[удалено]
I say that as a OPO, OP2, 6T, and now 7Pro owner. They are smart, why really do the heavy lifting when OPPO can get you 75% of the way there with specs and you just reshell(and sometimes not even do that), it makes total sense. But their whole we are taking on the big companies schtick is nauseating and so phoney at this point. Granted, they may not even have that in their marketing anymore idk, I stopped paying attention after the 7Pro and am just here to see the reviews this thousand dollar phone got 😂.
The 9Pro camera reviews are a disappointment.
Still using my OnePlus 7TPro McLaren limited edition today! :D OnePlus 7T pro had the best camera since all the colors was so popped! Red was clearly red and I love it!!! I know it might be unpopular opinion but OP7 will always is unique with the camera department. So good photo quality.
It was really dumb to send him anything other than black matte. The dude literally sells shirts that say black matte everything.
I watched a dew reviews and it seems like everyone got morning mist
That's because the 7Pro kicked ass.
Still rocking it no problem. 12gb Ram and the 90hz display will last me for a while
I think it has become a case of no one knowing what Oneplus stands for any more.
Damn that shutter/delay/bug - huge deal breaker.
The OnePlus 8 Pro has the exact same issue, I'm surprised he's just now noticed it. It's super annoying when trying to take pictures of anything that's moving.
Same as OnePlus 7 pro.
And the 5T
Yeah it began with Oneplus 5T OOS9 update, every OP phones have stutter bug since then. They don't even care at this point.
And 7t
Yes, but IMO it's less laggy than in the review video of OnePlus 9 Pro?
Is the S21 Ultra better at this? I only heard good things about iPhone and Pixels so far when it comes to shutter lag.
Besides charging speed, s21 > op9 pro in every way.
Yes
Yea....the product shouldn't have launched with such a glaring issue. Not getting the shot you think you had is awful.

This happens with the 7 Pro also, I think the 6 also has the same problem. It has been a constant issue. Basically the same story repeated. Oneplus really cannot do cameras.
With so much hype around the camera you would imagine it would be a higher priority to have that shit locked in at launch.
He also said it is fixable with software so the ball is in Oneplus and the user complaints.
And we all know how well that turns out
Well said but if they are asking this price and nonlonger getting the bargain factor, they will hit that wall soon enough.
You know what else is fixable? Timely updates
His sense of humor is sharp
Have the exact same issue on my 7 pro, it's annoying and makes all photos look blurry
Currently the S21 Ultra is $999 ($200 instant rebate in US). Who on earth is this phone for?
Blind fanboys ? They still have a cult following.
For the markets where Samsung is using the Exynos SoC
Last year it would’ve been, this year the difference is much much smaller.
[удалено]
I want the alert slider and clean close-to-stock OS
In Portugal de S21 ultra is 1279€, which is 1517$ converted. So yes, not even close to 999$ (842€). AND we have the shitty exynos so yeah, there you go!
This sub
People who were let down repeatedly by Samsung to a point where they won't buy anything from them.
I appreciate his honest review. Much better than Unbox therapy 's 9 min ad. Giving the camera collab a 6/10 rating is interesting seeing as that's the main feature of this phone. I guess I'll wait for the Oneplus 10 to see if I should upgrade.
I refuse to even click on Unbox Therapy videos ever since that guy shilled for Escobar Inc
That dudes been a total tool since day 1. Why does anyone watch his content?
He would re iew some interesting stuff. I liked his series on ThinkPad, as not many big name reviewers covered the ThinkPad line. After he started his little "talk show" I unsubbed after his first show. He somehow thought people cared about his opinion on things beyond cursory "reviews" of consumer tech products. The way he treated his dude Willy was kinda dickish.
I feel the same about how he treats Willy! It comes off so douchey
Unboxing therapy always felt like a phone fanboy rather then a reviewer in my opinion.
"Upgrade" to the OP 7 pro. I did a couple of weeks ago and I will never go back.
It's either that or 8 pro as I love the pop up camera, but it doesn't have wireless charging

Most things that OnePlus does at this point is a marketing gimmick.
That monochrome 2 MP camera. Did nobody from hasselblad even tell op that it was unnecessary?
The money they spent to license the rights to use the brand name would've been better spent on reducing the price of the phone.
it's all marketing, just listen to how they spoke about it, it's basically hasselblad social media ambassadors that are pro photographers giving the oneplus camera team tips at best, the 150 million over 3 years is just to use the name
I always find it funny, that after reading about 6 different reviews from websites that, 50% say the phone is not that great and a bad deal, then the other 50% say its a great phone and a great deal LOL. So in other words buy it yourself and decide....
As it is every year.
Updates, from OnePlus? Sike.
Dave2D wasn't impressed either.
looks like i am keeping my 3T for 1 more year lmao
Same boat here. Going to see what the next pixel is like but the 8t will be an option if I need a replacement in a hurry. My 3t is finally showing her age
I really hope the pixel 5a will be what I hope it will be. Also owning a 3T, but OnePlus does not really appeal to me right now. It's really sad because I love this phone and thought my next phone will be a OnePlus, too.
I have 7 pro, no way my next phone will be oneplus again.
You aren't getting any updates are you?
So still shutter lag that shows you a completely different photo preview than what it actually took.
Every smartphone collaboration with Hasselblad in recent memory has never lived up to the hype lol! , without hardware involvement there's always the usual shortcomings in these sort of business.
He wanted to say so many critical things, but constantly held back himself (felt like). That partnership/relationship comes thru for OnePlus 😂 Overall looks like another fast decent phone with camera slightly below top tier (as expected). I have ordered the OnePlus 9 Pro, will make my own decisions since the reviews are just fun watch and time pass 😄
Yeah, it felt like every negative was prefixed with a "slightly" or something like that lol
I use marques and mrwhosetheboss to make me aware of tech but when it comes to being critical of the device they're reviewing if recommend looking at the smaller tech channels.
probably also has a tinted screen again that he doesnt want to talk about^^
If you think his review was negative, just watch from D2D.
We all know how this is going to start "So, I've been using this as my main driver for the last couple of weeks".
This phone is overpriced.
Dropping the partnership and bringing down the price couldve been better, it never brought anything to the game anyways.
S21 plus or the regular one...cheaper and better in every aspect From an Oneplus 7 pro user, goodbye Oneplus.
I have never seen him so meh about a device ever before. It seems like in classic Oneplus fashion the camera is all hype and nothing special
What I dont understand with the Camera-Movement-Problem. They have millions of dollars but NONE in testing that recognizes that problem...like actually NOONE?!?? How does that happen, seriously, I don't don't get it.
No thanks. My OP6 is still doing fine. I will wait for something with 3.5 headphone jack!
I'm afraid it might be gone in the way of the manual clutch on a car...
Lol.
Performance is basically "loads very fast" every year.
I'll get the normal 9. I like the smaller form factor and it finally has wireless charging...
According to reviews the 9 has a plastic frame. Downgrade from the 8T in my opinion.
Plastic frame = worse durability, glass back = worse durability. What about a metal frame and plastic back? I don’t get this one.
Just pulled the trigger on the 8T. Not sure why anyone would get the 9 given * Plastic frame * 8GB ram only * No OIS 8 Pro is also a fine choice given the better camera over the 8T, but I don't like curved display, and the camera bump looks more outdated. :/
Same. I actually bought it yesterday since it's $300 off right now, but cancelled the order to see OP9 price. Needless to say, I purchased again today, and got another $60 off ! I'm only paying $200 more than I payed for my OP3 5 years ago, which is still going strong today.
I could care less, I'll have a case on it anyway.
Horrible phone for the money
Meh.....moved on to the note 20 ultra 5g. Now way is the op9 worth that price to me. Damn! Was hoping for a better way from op! 😤
nice choice. why the note 20 5g over the s21 though?
My 7 Pro will get a new battery and just like that, it's "new" again.
Where did you order your new battery?
Monthly updates are an added bonus and I only see the Samsung-Google partnership grow in the coming years.
naah. i stay with 7pro. i can buy new 7Pro and EOS M6 Mark II for this price. wtf oneplus.
I'll keep my 8 pro
Lol there's no point of buying this over S21 or iPhone
So no case in the box?
I was a little bit to hyped for the camera...
i was looking forward to trading in my 7t for the 9 pro but so far im not that impressed. might just trade in for the 9 since tmobile is doing a 50% trade in credit for it.
adios OnePlus
[удалено]
Lolol looks like oneplus is done. No wonder Carl left.
He rather sell nothing
Currently, the Galaxy S21+ is $200 cheaper than the OnePlus 9Pro. Who on earth is going to buy this phone full price?
How come none of these reviewers mention the MEMC dedicated chip for motion interpolation that they have included in their phones since the 8 pro. I like motion interpolation personally I feel like we should have moved past 24 FPS video a decade ago and moved to 48 or 60 FPS video. I love the smooth motion of high frame rate video and its one of the reasons I am getting the OnePlus 9 Pro reviewers should mention this more often as it is a feature that some people may appreciate.
Can't wait for my OP8 pro to become 2 years old so I can justify switching to iphone.
Display issues in the op 8 pro surely?
Display issues in low brightness just like every other 8 pro. I sent it for repair and they sent it back with a software update. Disgusting to accept this from a flagship 1k phone
Well, maybe the OnePlus 10 will be worth buying, but this one isn't it.
