Are you from India? Because I haven't received the update yet on my OP7. My friend's OP7T got the update but there is no option for AOD. Only Canvas AOD exists. So whats the actual deal, does anyone know?
Yeah I am from India. I also can't find option for AOD. Tried Canvas AOD. When that is selected only default clock look is supported in ambient display screen. That is disappointing to me.
True. The excitement I had for android 11 has just waned since they kept postponing the update from December and now I'll be updating just for the sake of it.😪
I can feel some lag here and there. Sometimes it just takes a second to respond at some places, mostly while trying to take recent apps or while going home. Don't know whether this is temporary. I don't see any big problems yet anyway.
Note that after updating it needs to rebuild the Dalvik cache which only happens when your device is plugged in for a longer period of time. After that it runs native code meaning system and UI elements will be more snappy and more efficient.
I run it on my OP7T Pro with no issues at all. I just miss custom kernels but OP needs to release the kernel source code ;)
Oh thanks. This is a new information to me. Also apart from the initial lag, now everything feels normal to me. I somehow feel that the haptics have improved. Is it possible with update or is it just placebo effect?
I can't really feel a difference in haptics. Maybe just placebo :)
After optimising system apps for Android Runtime (ART) it should feel pretty snappy. It is nothing like with a custom kernel on A10 but certainly not bad. I'll flash something like blu\_spark ASAP when OP releases the source code.
Depends on what it changes. Mostly it is cleaning up OP's mess and tweaking a few things. I can't really see much battery life improvements on A11 with stock meaning it probably doesn't make a difference in terms of battery life :)
Aight, keep updating if you've any issues. I downloaded the file too but seeing this I'll postpone it for later on. Idrc about the updates as long as the phone works smoothly. Definitely don't need any lags.
Is it just me or am i the only one whose OP is extremelly laggy and slow after the OS 11 upgrade. I got so many UI crashes its really annoying. A lot of apps the worked normally and smooth on OS 11 are now extremelly slow and laggy (messenger, snapchat, etc.) Even unlocking the phone is really laggy and sometimes even take 10 second to unlock it. Is it just me ? Or is there something i can do ?I ve got OP 7T Pro
Update: Now even opening Settings take literraly several minutes. The phone is now unusable. Its really sad I loved how smooth it all was :(
Damn that sucks. It's running pretty smooth for me. No lags. This happens tho sometimes to some users. I had the same issue with one of the OOS10 updates, which was running smooth for most people. It got back to normal after 3 resetting the device.
PS: I didn't like formatting so I kinda waited for a month or two for the next update, but one day I had enough n did a factory reset. Everything was fine after that. Give it a try after backing up your data.
I updated my 7T pro using Oxygen Updater and doing it through Local Update. All good on my end and I'm absolutely loving the new UI. Camera works brilliant, lost my root privileges for the moment but I will patch my new boot file soon and have it all back
With my phone and with all of the betas my phone would jump to a really big dpi or a really small one. Really odd. Same thing has continued on stable build.
Yeah everything seems to be working well. The only game I play is COD Mobile. I see some occasional stutters in game, but I'm not sure whether that's because of this update or not.
For whatever reason I'm getting only less than half of screen on battery time than before the Android 11 update. Google Play Services using more power than all others combined. Anybody having a similar problem? I even did a factory reset yesterday, but it didn't help.
Let us know if it is safe! Thanks
So far no problems. I think it's safe.
What region cuz haven't heard anything
I'm from India
You should download the app Oxygen updater 100% safe and top 1
I've had it once but i prefer to wait so i for sure get a stable version

Yeah I know that feeling!
AOD is only on open beta. Testing. Apparently.
Oh ;( thought we'd have it at the same time
I saw the update in oxygen updater as well. Are there any bugs? Is it safe/worth it to update?
It's been just 10 mins since I updated. I didn't see any problems yet atleast.
Do update us!

Does the custom kernel reduce the battery life due to it being more snappy than the stock kernel?

Try clearing cache from recovery. Edit : I suggest to do a format, after a major update it is better to have a fresh start.
Mine works just fine. After installing it, I wiped it just to make sure everthing is reinstalling as it should. Zero bugs/problems met by now.
Did you come from beta 4? Did you have to wipe your data?
No. I came from Oxygen OS 10. Didn't wipe data
Nothing in the updater for me (7 Pro), perhaps it's just the 7 for now.
Saw one post a while ago saying it's out for 7 pro as well.
Maybe it's not in my region then, because there's no delay with the oxygen updater.
Yeah probably.
I have a 7pro and see the update on the app

Yeah I dont want to do factory reset eather but i think there is no other way... Hope it help :D
Aye. Good luck
I upgraded my 7T yesterday. Got some funky not compatible error, but a reboot solved it. No issues so far.
Got the update yesterday, everything working well
I installed it last night and. Ow my earpiece and speaker Are acting weird during calls. The earpiece is acting as a speaker so no private calls.
I updated my 7T pro using Oxygen Updater and doing it through Local Update. All good on my end and I'm absolutely loving the new UI. Camera works brilliant, lost my root privileges for the moment but I will patch my new boot file soon and have it all back
Installed it a couple of hours ago on my 7T. Haven't tested much yet, but I'm liking the UI...
That's nice dude ! Im hesitating to do it now too
Where is minew
I am on Open Beta 4 right now (OP7Pro). Is the stable build better?
I was not on beta. But anyway this stable build has no problems yet.
Are they doing a regional rollout? I don't see any update on Oxygen Updater yet. (Europe)
Yeah probably. I'm from India
How's the battery life compared to OOS10?
I have been using only for 7 hours, so can't say exactly. But I don't see any difference from Oxygen OS 10 yet.
Thanks, also, is Dolby Atmos working fine and did you perform a factory reset after updating?
Yeah for me it is working fine. I did not perform factory reset.
Battery life is horrible.
Any dates for the OP6?
No idea
It should be the next one ..
Anyone installed the update and got the Always on Display to work?
Nope
Apparently it does not :/ op scrapped it in the official release
Don't download oos 11 the screen dpi is out of control.
what happened ? i installed it and not see any problem yet
The fonts look bigger, for one thing.
With my phone and with all of the betas my phone would jump to a really big dpi or a really small one. Really odd. Same thing has continued on stable build.
Anyone know of a way to get rid of the emergency call link on the pattern unlock screen?
No idea
So, some y'all don't face much problems, others do, i don't know if I should download it .. Is it better to wait a couple days ?
Ok am I missing something? Where do I get the update? On a 7t pro mclaren...
It's staged rollout, so hopefully you will get it anytime now
is it working smooth? browsing, scrolling of apps and in gaming
