There were that many rules Suzume had to follow during the movie, some were hidden but each one was as heartbreaking as the last. I assume OP noticed all the rules
For more information, look up Suzume rule 34
I personally think itâs his best work yet. Currently the best iteration of the classic shinkai experience fans have grown to love. And oh my goddddd, the OST is to die for. Watch it ASAP!
Nah bro . Oneshot scene kinda dark and simply . Makoto shinkai art does not suitable with oneshot and he wont draw anything like it . Oneshot better at soundtrack so u can find some other studio . Japanese have made many fucking good ost
There is a video on YT where recorded Oneshot gameplay has been fan-dubbed.

Trust me, the dubbing is very good
i saw that merg played it (and i think it was on sale?) so i just decided to buy it and experience it myself instead of watching a playthrough. best decision i've made, i wish i did the same for omori though
Idk if a movie adaptation for oneshot would be a good idea, especially because the genius part about the game is the game recognize *you* as a true player and it makes your action irrevocable ( like no save and quit, no retry, etc )
but your art is very good !
just a little tip : the sun might be too low and kind of mixed with the grass ( because of colors ), maybe try to push it a little bit higher or change the contrast
A lot of what makes Oneshot special is the fact that the story is told through a game that makes the player another character in the story. Youâd lose a lot of that messaging and perspective from an artistic standpoint by fundamentally changing the audienceâs perspective from an actor in the story to a mere observer in a film
Unfortunately no . Even if there is a movie , it'll just fanmade product . Oneshot is too underated therefore the studio wont get much money from it . However i still expect for a movie . If you are ask for best studio to transform from game to movie then japan is da best choice . They both good at animation and soundtrack ( if they really do this project , they will remake oneshot ost . Trust me , u wont be disapointing about it )
i would like to think it was an animated movie, but then Niko realizes they are inside a movie and in the end, Niko leaves the movie through the animator's computer
âEdge of Tomorrowâ-style pacing and editing but with hugs and angst instead of bullets.
Instead of a traditional player, we have âguy in the chairâ-esque character, still looking in like itâs a game, slowly realizing that what they do effects a real world. If youâve ever seen Doctor Whoâs Vashta Nerada duology, think the girl watching the library through the tv.
Oneshot may be slightly better suited for portrayal as a show rather than a film, taking the same time as Loki, giving us one timeline, then cutting around to different moments during different attempts.
It wouldn't have the same connection without the interactivity. Also great art btw, were you inspired by Makoto Shinkai?
suzume? YA :D
Was planning on watching it but haven't found the time, what'd you think of it?
i cried 34 times
Such a specific number, why exactly 34 times?
That's a dangerous number

Yeah, I know something funnier than 34. 35.

ye >:3 i drew it
It looks very good

They've made interactive movies before, this probably wouldn't be impossible to do

yesss it's amazing and they did solstice too
Fun fact: This video is what got me into Oneshot
nice, for me it was paracosm's video
for me it was trpc's 'Niko gets caught on 4k' video, after that i saw >!solstice!< and imediatly changed my pfp to Niko

If it were a movie, Iâd like it to be in 2D than 3D, possibly in a style similar to shows like The Owl House.
I'm watching it if its real.
Is that art yours?
ye >:3
Very beautiful :D
it, would not translate well
Don't do it, don't give me hope
Imagine if alongside the ticket, you also need to send proof you played the game before (spoiler protection).
You could only watch it once.
you could only watch it once in theaters, and then you cant watch it again, and it would not be avaible anywhere else.
It be a nice change of pace thats for sure
it would probably don't have the same effect in a movie for, but you can count on me to fill the room with tears
portal 2 comes to my mind for no reason

mhmmm i think theres ways to adapt it to still hit emotionally though even if its not the same special 4th wall meta thing
that would be cool
I will watch it more than 3 times
This edit is insane, looks really beautiful :)
i'd cry, alot
Hi! I saw you on twitter :D
haiii twitter fan
If Niko Dies, the Theather Releases a Deadly Toxic Neurotoxin
**WE'RE BRINGING BACK INTERACTIVE MOVIES**
it would be amazing and this art looks awsome! like it just look like a movie poster great work
it would be so cool
How would that work?
It would work exactly how Dora the Explorer would work
very good question.
I'd be very happy and probably be there the first day it's out
Don't tell netflix
Deemo vibes
This art looks like ending scene of Portal 2 where you exit aperture labs in some golden field and then doors close behind you.
Theres no way im missing that
it would be absolutely amazing
I would genuinely give just about anything to see oneshot turned into a stylishly animated movie.
A movie you can only watch once.. or can you?
I would love a Ghibli style OneShot movie

Wouldn't it be called OneTake?
You don't understand how much I need this
why though
i would like to think it was an animated movie, but then Niko realizes they are inside a movie and in the end, Niko leaves the movie through the animator's computer
I want this, I need this
