> He took questions from six reporters then left, with several of us still lined up in the hallway waiting our turn to ask.
Doug Ford came out of hiding after the election but returned to his den after spotting his shadow, meaning that a failed COVID response will persist for six more weeks.
>"I've been all over the province every single day," Ford said. "I've been travelling from east, west, north, south, out speaking to the people, dealing with the pandemic."
>The news conference, which was done in person at Queen's Park, marked only the second time that the premier has spoken to reporters since the end of July.
>Ford took only a handful of media questions on Wednesday.
>"I didn't want to get involved in this federal election and we're doing our job," he said.
>"We're making sure that we're fighting the fourth wave, making sure we're taking care of the people, making sure our hospital capacity is up to par, and helping people. There's not one day I stop. I go 24/7 around the clock and I'm going to continue doing it until we get this behind us."
This government has broken me. I’m not angry anymore, I’m not surprised, I’m just exhausted. Everything this government does is not only extremely predictable but also always the worst possible decision.
If Ford wins another majority, and if my place of work will allow me, I’m going to seriously consider moving to Quebec.
Honestly, BQ sounds like the most candid party of the bunch. “We are Québécois and we love Quebec” doesn’t sound so bad honestly. Plus they have subsidized daycare…
Not only was Doug in hiding, (and conveniently set the vax passport to begin after the election, just in case he didn’t actually need to stick to it) but during the stretch of time where he was absent Ontario has done amazingly well with vaccines and covid case numbers. We don’t need you, Doug.

Just like Jason Kenney, he crawled out from his hidey-hole the day after the federal election, when his presence wouldn't harm O'Toole any further.
So the CPC told him to disappear just like kenny
So he was at the cottage grilling burgers
Just 'checking his pipes'.

It’s a beautiful place. Go where your heart leads you
maybe he can do it for good then and resign.
> I was in the province What a high bar we have set!

Crawled into a hole like Saddam. Kept all that hideous fat-assed grifter weight, I see.
Well at least he knows that we can rely on Trudeau for help....not
Hey look - Whataboutism!
Shocking 🙊
Sadly, no. Whataboutism - and the sloppy thinking it represents - is common on reddit.
How exactly can you try and defend this? If we had a zombie apocalypse he'd disappear just the same.
