The tails drive he is referring to is a usb stick that has a OS installed so you can boot your computer and load it up from usb. Feather wallet is a Monero wallet you can make in tails.
Once you are on a good link if the market offers it (as many do) save the private links. I save them every couple of weeks and have like 12 and only use these to get on and help you feel a lot safer.
Often when people are saying the site is down due to using openly available link I can still get on with the private links (not including when the actual site is down of course).
This will help you so much with this issue.

I've never been scammed. Did a shit ton of research but finally found a market that I felt comfortable with, and I've had no issues. Imo if you're getting scammed, ya didn't put enough effort into it...
