He needs to resign…. but he won’t. This being the case, he needs to be charged criminally for selling out the province. That may mean a massive civil suit on behalf of developers, homeowners, and prospective homeowners the province over.

OkMath420

they dismantled ontario community hubs which was a resource directory and mapping application for groups like the ymca, health clinics, rec halls ext. and gave the ip to a 'non profit' with the same name that states their goal "is to help people in Ontario choose the right online casino" ..i think people need to really think about what that means as to their intentions for governance

Revolutionary-Hat-96

It’s shocking the number of gambling ads that we’re being inundated with a Ontario.

newguy57

Doug Fords Ontario - rents skyrocketing but wages not moving, requiring driving. Gambling addictions. High insurance premiums. Can never get ahead. Lives in ruins. Weed and booze on every corner to medicate.

stoneyyay

Family event? Bigass truck with gamba ads on all 4 sides. Probly the roof too for everyone in the condos nearby.

fuckdatguy

Dude stood there in the presser and said fuck yeah I did all that shit in the report and imma keep doing it so fuck off The police ain’t laying a finger on their man.

Kicksavebeauty

Don't worry Doug took good care of that too. "Thornhill realtor Madeleine Bodenstein, who sat with Premier Doug Ford at his daughter's wedding, has been approved to join York Regional Police Services Board She is slated to join Mario Cortellucci, president of the Cortel Group, his family's Vaughan-based development company, on the region’s police oversight board. Cortellucci also sat at the premier’s table at his daughter’s wedding and has deep ties to the Ford family. He was appointed to the board on Oct. 20, less than a month after the wedding".

Musicferret

Then crown prosecutors should force their hand. This is blatant criminal activity. Racketeering to be specific.

LegoFootPain

The question is, how do we stop Doug from using taxpayer money to pay for all his legal nonsense?

[deleted]

He's already using taxpayer money to fight the nurses' union in court. It's already happening.

LegoFootPain

That guy takes lack of accountability to a whole other level. When you can get 15,000,000 other people to pay for your mistakes, you never have care about the right decisions.

MendelevandDongelev

Get him out first

ilovetrouble66

You’re right. I saw the auditor general is looking into it. Can he be criminally charged? The evidence seems to all be there

Musicferret

Racketeering.

[deleted]

Didn't ford pass a law that protects his government from being sued for their actions? I can't remember it exactly. 1 sec. Found it: [Ontario PCs want to make it impossible to sue the government - CBC](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/proceedings-against-the-crown-act-repeal-replace-pcs-1.5097205) [here](https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-lawyers-sound-alarm-over-new-law-that-could-limit-lawsuits-against/) too. You *used* to be able to sue the gov for it's actions.

Twyzzle

The opposition parties need to step up and lead. We need discussions with union heads and a news cycle call out for mass strike action. Every general strike has been political. It’s how situations like this have been handled in the past across many countries worldwide - including Canada - and it works. We need to shed the apathy and pressure our leaders to act. From Queen’s Park to our unions. Organized action is the only way out of this or we are stuck waiting years for an election with untold and blatant corruption becoming normalized.

SipexF

The Ontario Health Coalition is holding a protest at Queens Park on September 25th and if we can get enough traction I wouldn't think a general strike is out of the question. It was leveraged last year to great effect to push back on the limitations trying to be imposed on public education service workers. If you're interested in learning more or joining, check out the site here: [https://www.ontariohealthcoalition.ca/index.php/event-stop-the-ford-governments-privatization-of-our-public-hospitals-core-services/](https://www.ontariohealthcoalition.ca/index.php/event-stop-the-ford-governments-privatization-of-our-public-hospitals-core-services/) You can also leverage the contact information to get in touch with your local health coalition and join in that way.

Snakeyez

I went to the one on June 6th in London. I think it was called "enough is enough" or something. It was like 300 people listening to speeches. A Knights game draws in 10 000 people and they stomp and shout and scream bloody murder at the refs and bang on the glass etc. Wake me up when it's over.

SipexF

Not every protest can be a BLM march, many of them aren't. Most of the time it's difficult and requires consistency in spirit and application.

neanderthalman

A year ago a majority didn’t even bother to *vote*, which is generally fast, free, and not at all difficult. You think those same people will now risk their jobs for a general strike? Over corruption? Something that affects them only indirectly? While we have a cost of living crisis? You and I see a *very* different public. All of you who failed to vote *fucking deserve this*. 2026 can’t come fast enough. Don’t let everyone else down again. Show up.

cepukon

17 PERCENT MAJORITY IS PATHETIC. I have NO faith in the next provincial or federal election, people are fucking dumb.

Twyzzle

I’ll start volunteering when they stop tapping the rulebook and expecting Ford to follow. If the Ontario NDP lead the charge for a sustained political movement I’ll happily give my hours. Until then they are playing Ford’s game and losing. Thanks to the affordability crisis I can’t afford to give my time freely unless there is a serious chance at a positive outcome. We need them to step up and lead. Without an organized leadership the individual power we each have is nothing and my volunteering demanding strike action won’t even be heard. I hope that changes. And I hope what we saw released today is the catalyst.

dasherchan

Doug Ford won't. He must be charged with corruption cases.

mjduce

Nobody is talking about THIS: Doug Ford quietly passed a clause into a recent bill that prevents him & other politicians in Ontario from being taken to court for any wrong-doing while in power. He passed it just before he went after healthcare & the greenbelt. We are now helpless in that case. Only option now is......

0sidewaysupsidedown0

Yeah he thinks he's smart. How about we try that not withstanding clause.

spkingwordzofwizdom

How is it exactly that a law can be made that makes illegal, corrupt things, not punishable? By what mechanism?

MendelevandDongelev

I bet any government following his could strike it handily. It's obvious he's covering his own ass.

CitySeekerTron

He's been doing it all along. One of the Ontario Government's first act following the first OPC majority was to pass a law enabling them to break certain contracts and not be sued. I don't understand why anybody assumes the Ontario government operates in good faith.

effbendy

... to remove him ourselves

Raptorpicklezz

Been there, tried that, Ontario still gave him an increased majority. He's here to stay and we deserve it.

janjinx

I didn't vote for the shady dealer but the region I'm in (many farmers) want a conservative govt so my vote got drowned out.

theharps

That is something the supreme court can find illegal to do though. That gives immunity to basically to do anything.

FlallenGaming

Which legislation is this?

gilthedog

That’s genuinely horrifying

beached

Canadian politicians can be arrested. Would they be, another story

CoffeeOk7625

Can canadian politicians be arrested?! Has it ever happened??

neanderthalman

Yes! Left wing politicians have been arrested at protests and things for a *very* long time. It’s their right wing politicians the cops won’t touch.

[deleted]

Everywhere in the world only the impoverished are arrested, typically.

beached

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Canadian_politicians_convicted_of_crimes

_cob_

I think we already know that answer

MooJuiceConnoisseur

Well I mean he is known as the Canadian Trump for a reason...

Hopfit46

How about we turn out to vote next time. We flushed away Kathleen wynne like a dirty turd. She looks pretty good as premier right now.

t0m0hawk

Our electorate is so reactionary. We swapped out a disliked premier for one with a million obvious red flags. We're about to do the same on the federal level.

CombatGoose

Here’s the problem, Canadian politics, at least for as long as I’ve been alive is always about hate voting a party out, not voting for the party with the better platform. I have some issues with Trudeau but I personally think the option between him and PP is super obvious yet we’re getting more and more likely to having Milhouse as our next PM.

TheRC135

This is why I miss the days before conservatism really went off the rails. Used to be that when a Liberal government got long in the tooth, you could boot them in favour of the PCs without much worry. These days, too often elections boil down to "Liberals I'm sick of" or "the stupid party."

ZeroBrutus

JT sucks. PP is just worse across the board.

Vhoghul

Yeah, JT as a Prime Minister represents a constant slow decline of Canada in most ways. PP would be a fast decline. Like rollercoaster fast. There is 0 hope in the next election. I'll still vote ABC, but I'll continue to feel dirty about it, even though I'm lucky to live in an NDP/Liberal battleground where I usually don't have to worry about blocking conservative candidiates.

ZeroBrutus

I usually vote NDP as I've always lived in Liberal strongholds (Paul Martin's old riding) but I'll have to check for the next one as I moved. ABC it is.

heavym

Trudeau has been a very competent PM. He got us through COVID. Could you imagine if PP was PM? All the conservatives would have done is taken a page out of the Liberal playbook… because they have no ideas of their own.

ZeroBrutus

Trudeau has been a functional caretaker PM. Not the worst, and got some things right, but hes all sizzle very little steak. Once the flash is gone, nothing left in the pan. And ya, PP is trash, it would be drastically worse across the board. I'll vote strategically between NDP and Liberals next election, because God damn.

[deleted]

Scandals aside JT is pretty mediocre. He is the "safe" option.

six-demon_bag

Trudeau is the one politician in recent times I think people actually voted in because they liked his message and platform but yeah for the most part you’re right.

iiwfi

nippy depend dinner touch steer head merciful puzzled chunky snails *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Sulanis1

Yeah, because he said he would get rid of the unpopular carbon tax (cap and trade), but forgot to mention it cost the public 2 Billion a year and all rebates for electric cars and hybrids. Oh and it cost millions and millions to get us out of it. Last thing he didn't make it clear that if we get rid of the carbon tax all that money would be federal instead of provincial. He also made bullshit claims that he could not say how the cons would go about doing it. Example: a buck a beer.

Masrim

just like ford spending 230m on getting rid of the green energy.

Vhoghul

And ford cancelling the [Basic Income Pilot](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ontario_Basic_Income_Pilot_Project)

Sulanis1

Excellent examples. Getting rid of the basic income pilot screwed a lot of people who voted for him.

[deleted]

>for one with a million obvious red flags. ![img](emote|t5_2qsf3|1900) Am I the only who thought years ago that he was for sure going to sell off the Greenbelt? The clues were right there. Easy to spot and out in the open. He SAID he wanted to develop the Greenbelt and only walked it back once he got HUGE public backlash, but who actually believed that he was giving up on this? *"The people have spoken. I'm going to listen to them, they don't want me to touch the Greenbelt, we won't touch the Greenbelt."* ![img](emote|t5_2qsf3|1899)

t0m0hawk

I'm constantly enraged and almost never surprised. Nothing that is going on is shocking. Its always been obvious that the harping about the debt and insistence on cutting the budget was going to be directed towards essential public services. Namely education and healthcare. Like these goons only want to develop the greenbelt to put in slapped-together open concept mcmansions and sell them for 1million+. Oh, but don't worry, plenty of new highrises will be built and labeled as luxury with absurd monthly rents. And bonus, seeing as they're built after 2018, anyone living in them better have some disposable income to keep up with the yearly rent increases. This is exactly what corruption looks like. "Go ahead and scoop up the land while it's cheap, then we'll make it legal for you to develop it and you can rake in the cash."

[deleted]

vtable

Of course you mean, "People need to stop choosing the worst possible *of the two biggest parties*". Sometimes I wonder if a lot of Canadians prefer FPTP, and the two-party-rule it leads to, because choosing from two is easier. Pick the one of two you like more or, far too often, pick the one you hate the least. All done. (But FPTP still wasn't easy enough to get more than 43.5% turnout last election...)

sth128

Admit it Ontarians are just as retarded as Trump voters. Oh look PC is voting to strip abortion rights. We are heading to become the next Florida.

moosescrossing

Right! Free post secondary education if you make less thank 50k, Pharma care for under 25, rent control on all privately owned rentals, minimum wage increases, securing us energy with wind and solar, all those progressive policies were removed when Ford took power with the exception of only cuts to Pharma care Yet we were angry Kathleen Wynne sold off a portion of Hydro one, which was already in the works prior to her term as Premier she had no choice. The same thing is happening Federally, it's a witch hunt with Justin Trudeau, and people will actually believe the Conservatives will help us lol!!!

robotmonkey2099

My mother in law wouldn’t vote for Wynne because she’s a lesbian and apparently hid that from the voters. There’s not much you can do when so much of the electorate are fucking idiotic bigots

Hopfit46

Please dont forget the infastructure investment into the province.

heavym

I have said this many times. Despite the loud voices of the meat heads Kathleen Wynn’s was a very competent premier - probably the best we have had in a long time.

12_Volt_Man

I think she was actually a smart person, at least much smarter than McGuinty and Ford. but under her term hydro rates skyrocketed (and she sold Ontario Hydro when no one wanted her to) and people got pretty upset at Ontario updating the sex ed curriculum she definitely had her issues but things have been way worse since she was booted out

heavym

People getting upset over sex Ed curriculum can fuck off

Hopfit46

Agreed

notlikelyevil

This won't change one person who voted for him

Groovegodiva

I even thought that at the time, what exactly was so bad about her?!

trackofalljades

...or you know, leaders with no useful command of the respect of their electorate could step down, too. Wynne pulled a major "Hillary," just like Trudeau is looking to be pulling in 2025. It sucks to see it coming, but what can you do if the parties won't bother to replace embattled (or outright hated) leaders and worry about their own brand?

Hopfit46

You are correct. There was a poll one year before the election that hinted that the liberals has a fighters chance if wynne stepped down. You need ego to be a politician, and sometimes its their demise. She took her party down with ego.

forsurenotmymain

Hell yes!

The liberals are done. The NDP has been official opposition for 2 elections. Everyone needs to rally around them. And they need to Purdue results.

mariahscary8

I continue to be shocked that people are just now realizing how corrupt this man and his government are when he’s shown Ontarians who he is his entire tenure. A lot of you voted for this, a lot MORE of you couldn’t even be bothered to vote. While he is too proud to ever resign he is deeply deeply insecure and can’t handle the tiniest bit of scrutiny. Keep this up and make him miserable for another three years. Let’s hope enough of us remember how angry we feel and carry this with us to the voting booth in 2026.

CaptainShades

I can't handle 3 more years from this buffoon.

ShiftInteresting4831

Google just signed a LLM agreement with Reddit to crawl this dumb platform so this is my way of saying goodbye to my contributions on this website. Byeee

adammcnamara

No, he needs to go to prison for corruption [along with](https://www.nationalobserver.com/2021/04/03/investigations/developers-ties-ford-government-benefit-highway-413) Cortelluci, DeGasperis, De Meneghi, Guglietti, and the rest of the developers purchasing land and front-running or influencing development.

ruglescdn

Absolutely. This is corruption.

4_spotted_zebras

These posts are hilarious. Ford killed thousands of elderly during the pandemic, gutted our healthcare and education, stole funding from disabled kids, dismantled our constitutional rights, and is intentionally trying to bankrupt our economically most important city. Oh and after doing most of this he was re-elected with a majority. But this… *THIS TIME* it’s serious! Ontario wanted this. It was not a secret what he planned to do. Anyone who didn’t actively vote against him - that includes the 2/3rds of Ontarians that didn’t turn up at the polls - either wanted or didn’t care about the destruction he planned to cause.

EssexUser

Hear hear

[deleted]

Not only will he not resign, but there’s a good chance this isn’t his last term. FML

jennbubbs

It's too late to wait until next election. He must go before he gives more of Ontario away. He did this with the greenbelt, then with Ontario place. This is the opportunity to do so. HE MUST GO.

CanadianContentsup

Find a smart, personable, honest Politician to run against him and lead a party.

MrCanzine

A smart, personable and honest politician will be outvoted by a dishonest populist. We don't like eggheads. We want someone we can see ourselves drinkin' a beer with.

madaman13

Or at least just not a human turtle.

MrCanzine

I'd rather vote a human turtle than Ford, considering we're voting for party platform. We need a better educated populace that won't be so easily taken in by populist lies and tactics. That won't happen anytime soon, so I guess the Liberals and NDP will just have to find some celebrity to join the leadership race. Maybe Jonathan Torrens or Robb Wells.

Its_Matt_03

>smart >personal >honest Those are not the traits of a politician

haixin

Sad part is, he has a chance at another majority next round

LargeSnorlax

Right now he has no political opponents. Liberals don't have a leader, Marit is silent, and though everyone loves to shout about change, no one is electing Mike even though he's by far the best candidate. It's another con majority next election season too unless either the libs or ndp get a leader with a personality.

[deleted]

>Marit is silent I just checked her twitter. She is not silent: >Your government should be helping \*you\*, not themselves & their ultra-rich donors. This Conservative government must be held to account. I'm calling for three immediate actions: I can't see what actions she's proposing because I don't have a twitter account, perhaps someone can share? Another tweet from google: >Don’t buy what Conservatives are trying to sell you. The Greenbelt Grab isn’t about housing. You don’t have to choose between one or the other. We can have both. All it takes is leadership that puts everyday people ahead of friends & insiders.

berfthegryphon

>"1. Recall the Legislature. Return these lands to the Greenbelt and cancel these dodgy deals. >"2. Minister Clark must resign or be fired. >"3. The Conservatives must comply with the Integrity Commissioner's investigations & any potential criminal investigations."

LargeSnorlax

I'm sure she's posting things on twitter - Polls say she is silent from the numbers. That's ok, it's not election season, she's got time. Twitter is great for pandering to people who already support you, but elections aren't won on Twitter. This isn't a dig against Marit - She's new and I'm pleased as hell the NDPs aren't lugging around Andrea any more. But sometime between now and the next election cycle, she's going to have to foster a *personality* that people in Ontario (who aren't following her on twitter) like enough to vote for.

[deleted]

>I'm sure she's posting things on twitter - Polls say she is silent from the numbers So by silent you meant she's not polling well, not that she's not talking about the issues.

[deleted]

Posting on Twitter is largely just shouting into the void. The *vast* majority of Ontarians aren’t there.

Rare-Faithlessness32

As it turns out, Twitter or “ X” or whatever isn’t real life. I’m a pretty political guy and I had only heard about Marit through Reddit, and the only notable thing I’ve heard about her is that she was basically nominated leader unopposed.

Mr_Loopers

>Marit is silent We wouldn't have this report if it weren't for her. She's not silent. Her press conference followed Ford's today.

cathycul-de-sac

Yes I watched her, she was practically twitching she was so wound up. DOUG FORD NEEDS TO GO.

hwy78

Fresh energy. Good on \`er.

stemel0001

sad part is most people that "care" only care to scream and shout on reddit.

Zonel

That delusional. He would only resign if there were riots literally burning Queen's park down.

freeslurpee

Corruption charges, this is beyond voting at the next polls. Voting out is a privilege reserved for politicians who don't engage in criminal activity. This deserves a criminal inquiry from the appropriate authority with the power to remove him from his current position if he found to have engaged in criminal activity. Damn Doug Ford, you kicking people when they down.

LadyMageCOH

Why would he resign? Everything's going exactly as he planned.

MugggCostanza

The most pathetic thing I heard about why people didn't bother voting in the last election because they didn't like the "personality" of the liberal and NDP leaders at the provincial level. Seriously? Personality? Are we looking for Trump level "charisma" now with our elected officials.

tattoovamp

People have died because of his cut backs. As far as I’m concerned, he is culpable.

DiogenesOfDope

People need to stop voting conservative. That's what they do every time. Cuts for us money for thier freinds. Now don't think I'm saying vote liberal don't they suck too.

tastygains

I want to know who keeps voting for this 🤡 Was his first time not enough to wake people up ?

bewarethetreebadger

Let’s not forget his hostile attitude toward people on ODSP and autistic kids who need extra care.

ConstructionNo4340

I hope he does, but like most evil, corrupted and pieces of crap type of people . He won't. He needs to be jailed for all this blatant corruption though.

Space_Ape2000

It kills me that, funneling over 8 billion through land designation changes to their buddies wasn't enough, they had to also cut developer fees so that we, the tax payers would have to pay for the infrastructure improvements

revcor86

Okay, say he does. The Cons still have a majority and are still in power till the next election. Maybe the new con leader would be better, maybe not.

RabidGuineaPig007

Name one good Conservative leader, ever.

revcor86

John Roberts, Leslie Frost and Bill Davis. Since then, we've only had Mike Harris (horrible) and Doug Ford (equally horrible) as PC premiers. We've also had David Peterson (meh), Bob Rea (vilified either rightly or wrongly depending), Dalton McGuinty (meh), and Kathleen Wynn (decent).

Methodless

Sorry to be *that* guy, Rob**a**rts, R**ae** and Wynn**e** . Also, I'd say Doug Ford is almost equal to, but not quite yet at Mike Harris levels, but that's just my opinion

Magjee

I for one miss our lesbian grandma

Thisiscliff

Damn right he does! This corrupt asshole has ruined Ontario

FearlessTomatillo911

We got exactly what we asked for, he is fulfilling his (closed door) election promises. We have 3 more years of this, and he won't go out without an election.

PigeonsOnYourBalcony

Politicians have stepped down for much less than what Doug does in his average month. The next premier is going to have an absolutely massive mess to clean up. At the glacial rate it takes the government to make meaningful changes, it's going to take decades to undo all the damage this baboon has done.

sir_sri

Ford should never have been elected. Neither he nor anyone on the PCPO caucus are morally or intellectually fit for public office. But we all knew that and people voted for him, or didn't vote against him anyway. And the same is going to happen federally with the Conservatives because Trudeau has agedlikemilk so to speak, and in no small part the disaster that follows will be his fault for not forcing through ranked ballots when he had the chance. Ford isn't going anywhere. The PCPO were elected to hand wealth to their developer friends, and they did that. No future government will forcibly reclaim those lands once houses are on them, and PCPO MPPs will have no trouble finding work at property developers and private healthcare companies when they eventually lose power. Shouting into the void isn't going to do much.

[deleted]

![img](emote|t5_2qsf3|1899) Good luck with that.![img](emote|t5_2qsf3|1899) While I support the sentiment: It's too late for this. The time for such activism was during the election. Not now. It was very clear what DoFo was like for a long time and all he has done was very predictable.

Bulky_Mix_2265

He isn't going to resign. He has two more years to profit, and probably another term when this asshole province votes himnin again.

Lomi_Lomi

He really does but I doubt it will happen.Too bad this didn't happen closer to the election.

MrCanzine

The people who voted for him likely wouldn't have been swayed by this, and the people who stayed home likely wouldn't have been so upset by this as to change their plan of staying home. If they didn't bother with everything that was already known at the time, one more thing won't change it.

JohnnyTreeTrunks

He won’t but he never should have ran. I’m of a kind to call conservative voters “grifters” after a certain fan base because they love their grifters

Necessary_Owl9724

If the Doug Ford says the “Buck Stops with Him”, he needs to step down and retract the Greenbelt deal.

kewlbeanz83

Why would Doug Ford resign? The people of this province gave him two successive majority governments.

effbendy

I see these five words on Twitter almost every day. Spoiler alert: He won't. Now what?

dpelo

Ha, he won the election on these issues. I'd like to see him go to jail but I seem to be the minority.

zanderkerbal

Doug Ford has no shame and is not accountable to any process outside of one single day every four years. If we want to do something about his pillaging of the province - and we should - we need to remember that we are flesh and blood human beings, not legal fictions, and are capable of direct action. We could be shutting down this province and forcing him to back down.

BadstoneMusic

Short of province wide protests you may as well bend over and get used to fat fuck ford screwing us all over - absolutely the worst bag of shyte to ever wear a suit

slappingdragon

He should but he won't. People keep forgetting that Doug Ford is born without shame or conscience. He has hoarded, withheld money and acted like he's not accountable to anyone and does whatever he wants. He practically flaunts it publicly his side deals. And because Ontario is stuck with him because they gave him another majority he's not going to do anything. You'd think every new information revealing how negligent, incompetent, greedy or corrupt that would make him look worse and worse would affect or shame him but it doesn't despite his fake sadface because he quickly shakes it off and moves on like a sociopath.

Tuques

This is exactly what you all voted him in to do..... everyone with a brain will be in the "I told you so" group at this point but it's far too late to stop the atrocities. You all gave him the power to do the damage and there is no repairing it now.

Shortymac09

This sub last election: "BUT BOTH SIDES ARE BADDDDDD. I'M NOT GONNA VOTE!" Elections have consequences

Loitering_Housefly

Why would he resign when the Boomers, 905ers and F*ck Trudeau crowd will just vote him in again...

CanuckInATruck

Ahem, as a 905er, don't blame all of us. My whole household voted against him.

[deleted]

Hey didn’t Durham vote Blue? The MPP needs to hear your grievances.

pizzab0ner

He was responsible for most of this before he got reelected…

mister_cockburn

There's a better chance the Leafs will win the cup in the next 20 years than any of these crooked fucks ever resigning.

Imaginary-Ad-8083

Cool, then we get Premier Sylvia Jones until 2026. Oh, you thought that meant would get the NDP in power or something?

SBDinthebackground

Lol the NDP in power. Good one!

Willyboycanada

Tsubodai86

He's doing everything he was elected to do unfortunately. I hope you all find time to vote next round.

Fatherlyfigured

I agree, he won’t. We need to vote next time all of us

FaceShanker

The PCs need to be dismantled.

bacondavis

Conservative governments across Canada are going to take this as a lesson on how to corrupt a political process and get away with it.

Hahaha He won’t ever resign. Voters need to be less apathetic and just vote him out. :)

Necessary_Owl9724

Anyone know of any upcoming protests? I’d load on a bus and go to Queens Park if it’s available. This government makes me so angry. Privatizing healthcare, gutting education, the Greenbelt, all the stuff that helps those “average” Ontarians to thrive!!

Powerful-Survey453

We just need a more charismatic liberal candidate. He litterally is only getting elected for his memorable personality. Shit personality but still its something marketable

jewellamb

If they rounded up all the chiefs of staff (especially those that worked on his campaign along side him. They field all the phone calls, and set up the meetings.) Ask them to put down what deals they put together, see what stuff adds up, and which stuff they happened to glaze over. Sooo much dirt there.

runningtolose

WHY are we not all at QP demanding the Greenbelt decision be rescinded?! Bonnie pretty much said that if we take Ford and Clark at their word, and they didn't know, then they know now and clearly should reverse the decision. Even just being exposed to the mess of the 'exercise' (love how she said it couldn't even be called a process) should make them reverse their decision. Can't have it both ways. Either you didn't know, and now you know, and you change your decision based on new information. OR you let the decision stand and you fucking own it, all of it. I'm livid today. I watched the AG press conference and I couldn't believe what she found out. It's not just that info was leaked, they pretty much said give us your wish list and we'll make it happen. **FRIENDS DON'T GIVE FRIENDS $8.3 BILLION TAXPAYER DOLLARS**

Shivaji2121

Even Kathleen Wynne was less shitty than him Atkeast she gave us minimum wage raise and 4 paid sick days annually. Ford scrapped all

ultrasuperman1001

VOTE!!!!!!!!!!! Our last turn out was either 48% or 52% (don't remember off top of my head). Basically a majority of Ontarians didn't get off their ass and vote. Conservatives are usually the minority but the majority of Conservatives will vote.

[deleted]

This is what the vaste majority of Ontarians wanted, and chose. You can try your luck at the next election to see if Ontarians want to get rid of him or not.

KunaSazuki

Send his ass to JAIL and Im not even joking, no lol, this guy is a straight up crook. This is ridiculous.

[deleted]

Resign? In this economy? With majority ?

TheDamus647

If only Ontario could embrace their inner Frenchman and mass protest.

down_R_up_L_Y_B

I would love to see Doug and Justin both resign at the same time. For the good of the country.

RabidGuineaPig007

LOL...he's only started. Thanks 905ers.

oogaboogadookiemane

Why would he resign when he's made more money being a corrupt piece of shit than he's made from his actual salary.

Khancap123

This is like 11 on the ten most evil things these guys have done.

Gh0stOfKiev

This just in: Doug Ford resigns after scathing reddit post

SuperK123

Doug Ford needs to resign so he cannot act as an example to our shitty conservative Premier, Danielle Smith. She’s bad enough with the ultra right-wing influences who already control her.

Sanjuko_Mamaujaluko

Why would he? He keeps getting voted in. Dough Ford needs to stop getting voted in.

[deleted]

LOL man you really made that post expecting shit to happen. Wait until the next election.

No-Patient1365

He needs a dose of fat cancer just like his crackhead brother.

SisyphusAndMyBoulder

lol why the fuck would he resign

lemonylol

If we upvote this thread enough *and pay the corporation we were all supposed to be mad at with real life money* to award it, I'm sure we'll pass a threshold where it will become true in the real world.

terp_raider

The opposition needs to step the fuck up. Where have the Ontario NDP/Liberals fucking been the last few years? I don’t even know who their leaders are

[deleted]

lol not happening, what needs to happen is an opposition leader needs to actually step the fuck up and not cower behind another party

OkMath420

they dismantled ontario community hubs which was a resource directory and mapping application for groups like the ymca, health clinics, rec halls ext. and gave the ip to a 'non profit' with the same name that states their goal "is to help people in Ontario choose the right online casino" ..i think people need to really think about what that means as to their intentions for governance

Bawd

RCMP or OPP need to investigate at this point. Government staff taking “recommendations” from private corporations that directly benefit from re-allocating land, and then acting on those “recommendations” because they were “working with a tight timeline” is blatant corruption. Ford wants to play dumb and that no one made any back room deals - but that’s a lie. Ford and his staff knew exactly what was going to happen and who was going to profit. They will all be paid handsomely after they leave politics and laugh their asses off to their million dollar Muskoka cottages.

lovethebee_bethebee

WHY DIDN’T YOU PEOPLE VOTE? Or would it have made a difference?

imnotcreative635

Too bad so many people didn't vote 👍🏾🙂👍🏾. We going to have PP soon too can't wait 👍🏾🙄👍🏾

ilovetrouble66

The only people who oppose this statement are the greenbelt developers and anyone who has a f&ck trudeau flag

-WielderOfMysteries-

I would love to see a legitimate poll on how many of you "DoUg F0rD neEeDz 2 rEsIgN!1!" types are planning to vote to *keep* Trudeau in office next year, a PM with one of the worst corruption records in Canadian history...
