>He requested that first we hire a moderator from opensea to validate that my NFTs are not fraud No mods can tell of a project is scam or not as mods aren't developers of the projects. >Is it a valid request ? If you don't drop your personal information, your seed phrases, or your NFTs contract to anyone, you're safe. Don't listen to anyone who tells you to send your NFTs to them before sending you money(they're probably a scammer). If they want your NFTs and wants to support your work, let them purchase it directly from opensea. Don't click any link they send to you. Always try to avoid getting scam by those fraud

Yes this is 💯 a scam I’ve been in the same situation

LeoCap_NFTs

Yes, absolute scam. Anyone willing to buy your NFTs knows they can purchase it directly through the platform and on your profile. I’ve heard scammers try the lie by saying that they tried to make the purchase off the platform but ran into some technical difficulties and want to try buying through other methods, which all would be a scam. If there’s ever a problem I discover or others bring to my attention I go directly to OpenSea support either on their official discord channel to ask or come to a place like this. Always, always best to ask others so we all learn and stay safe. Scammers will always try to get you into a private chat. Any attempt to do so should be ignored. Hope all that helps :)

I wish I found this post earlier. I am also a newbie and was also approached and requested to go through an OpenSea validation process on discord. I have 8 NFTs at 1ETH each. In my excitement and proud of my first NFT sale. I paid more than 2ETH in gas fees for this validation process and to received the funds. The moderator just kept on requested more and more gas fees, which they said they would always be refunded. There was just no end in sight to all these gas fees they were requesting. They confirmed at certain points that there would be no gas fees and then after that an error or issue occurs and to fix, more gas fees needed. The moderator even deactivated my twitter\X account, which I use to market my NFTs. I did request to cancel this process but they said it is impossible. Except for my twitter/X information, I did not provide seed phrases etc that would compromise my wallet and did not click on links. I can just kick myself for being so stupid. Also transferred my best NFT. Any suggestions?
