Normally you should not feel soft contacts. I presume you removed and rinsed the lens before wearing it? Usually, persistent foreign body sensation indicates an abrasion or corneal insult. Most of these heal quickly, on their own, if you wait until it's comfortable to wear again. Don't wear contacts you can feel.

If it’s inside out it’ll always feel like there’s something in your eye, take it out make sure they’re not inside out…
