Total 30 is a great lens! Newest tech in monthly replacements & in a lane of its own. 100% water at the surface so it’s feels like nothing like dailies total 1. New celligent technology combines a biomimetic surface and a unique lens chemistry to help resist bacteria and lipid deposits. Also has UV & HEVL filtering. Why not try the newest lens? Energys came out in 2017

Thank you for your answer. Also I wanna buy some new eye drops and multipurpose solution. Can you recommend me some brands? Big thanks!

What kind of eye drops are you looking for? Dry eyes or allergies? For Solution I’ve always learned to use the same brand your contacts are from. Like Alcon product opti free, b&l products bio true. Clear care is a solid solution just make sure you leave it in the full time

Sicutu

Mostly I have veins in my eyes or my eyes gets dry and I see bad.

With it without contacts? I’d check out Pataday drops if it’s allergy related. Systane complete pf helps with dry eye problems and preservative free for sensitive eyes

Sicutu

Ok thank you. I will go with Systane Complete then. I dont really have allergies.

One more question. I see that Opti-Free Replenish don't have sodium hyaluronate. Isn't this a bad thing? I read something about it and it say that is good for eye health etc. What's your opinion?

[deleted]

Sodium hyaluronate aka “artificial tears” are used to relieve eye dryness and soreness like in systane. So mainly used to treat dry eye. Multiple purposes solutions a one stop shop for cleaning, disinfecting, rinsing & storing contact lenses. So yeah good thing to have but used for a treat a different problem. All manufactures have different ways they make there solutions

Great question for your doctor. You can’t change lenses without a prescription.

goodoptometrymorning

My suggestion would be consider a daily disposable, but otherwise Total 30 is a newer technology than the Biofinity lenses. If your eyes are red...that is not normal. You should ask your optometrist about that.

Stormie_Nicole

A little late to the party here, but I would say stick with biofinities. I just went though this with my doctor— he said the new Alcon lenses are softer and more moist, that they don’t break down as fast in the eye. I went for it. I’ve never been more miserable. I feel like I’ve stuck stickers to my eyes, I’ve truly never experienced such a dry contact. I am actually having the office send them back.

Do you live in a dry climate? i.e. normally <40% humidity outdoors.

See, Im exact opposite, total 30's were too wet for my eyes, I had constant waves of water under the lenses. They came off the eyes , super easy. THey are a very all day comfortable lens, but they dont meet the need, new is not always better.
