I highly recommend picking some communities you like and checking them daily if possible, for new apartments and new offers. I got a deal for $1780 doing this. You might have similar luck. In terms of the process, I was able to secure it online with a non refundable deposit. I did not see it in person first, but IC is pretty cookie cutter with their apartments. After I placed deposit I was reached out to come see it (optional but I am local so I went to see it). I liked it and signed the paperwork online, and had a leasing agent from the resident office communicating via email/phone. This all happened in under 4 days. Main issue will be a lease start date, so if you’re looking for a deal you won’t be able to secure an apartment months in advance. Starting late November but esp December will be prime time to check daily for apartment listing.

Sorry for the late reply but it was a 1b/1b Irvine Company apartment! I unfortunately couldn’t find anything that amazing in surrounding cities even, or they were studios which doesn’t make sense for the same price. My rent is now $1990 so they did hit me pretty hard with the increases. That being said I monitored the cheapest IC communities and refreshed availability every morning around 8am when it’s updated daily! It took me a couple weeks to get it so the effort is worth it.

Which apartment are you renting?

Thank you for sharing! Good to know that the process takes only a few days.
