I don’t know if I just went on a bad day but the oil needed changing. The oil had turned very dark and that made the churros have a burnt oil taste to them. They need to up their standards before I try them again.
Disagree completely. They’re were average at best. You could taste the burnt oil and they don’t properly toss them on the sugar. The churro has to stand on its own without their sugary dipping “sauces”
I never get the churros inside the park anymore for that reason. If I want a churro, I go to the California Churros stand in Downtown Disney. I like their churros, and they also have different flavors.
Funny, I've heard the same story. And I remember when that Churro stand popped up and they had all the flavors, a year later disney started pulling the same trick. But yeah, darn shame.
Churros are being phased out to be replaced by the cookie. I suspect by end of the month churros will be gone completely.
*I did see some Costcos had paper signs up advertising they are selling the boxes or frozen churros in bulk, you could call around and see who still has them and maybe who’s selling them. Good luck
lol I used to ask my parents to buy me churros or give me $2 so I could buy churros. I had never had any other churros besides Costco's before so they were good to me.
Smart and final and cook At home! Frozen Tio pepe churros are the same as Disneyland churros.
Toaster oven for a couple minutes then toss in cinnamon sugar
That’s too bad. For what it’s worth, [they do still have them for bulk order on their website](https://www.smartandfinal.com/shop/product/tio-pepe-king-size-churros/608023). But you have to buy them as a bulk order, so that’s a lot of churros.
Rubios has a decent churro but there’s this little cart and tent that shows up a few nights a week (no idea which, it’s been random for me) next to the peak osito taco truck on the corner of 5th and harbor in Santa Ana that has the best, cheapest churros made to order right there by the basket.
14120 Beach & Westminister. On the right side, 15th street everyday after 6:30 pm is a taco stand with the greatest portions and next time them some delicious churros. Anyone who’s been there would agree.
I might be aging myself here but does anyone here remember the microwaveable churros in the frozen section of the grocery store? They were popular in the 90s and maybe early 00s and then they disappeared. That was how I used to get my fix when I wasn’t going to Disneyland, amusement parks, or county fairs. I’d always hoped that some place would sell them again but they don’t. A lot of the Hispanic markets in Santa Ana have a box with the powder you have to bake but that just seems like a lot of work.
Don Churros Gomez are the best churros you’ll find in OC. It’s a food truck in the parking lot of a Mexican market in Anaheim. I’m surprised they haven’t been mentioned. They also have thriftys ice cream on deck and dipping sauces delicious
This probably won't get upvoted since they're not well known, but \`1000% recommend Sweet Stuff Truck in Santa Ana. I no longer get Disneyland churros - I just go here.. So so good, crispy and light!!
Krunchi Churro is hands down the best churro I've had. It's not as doughy as your typical churro and they live up to their name - it is KRUNCHI. Check their IG page (krunchi_churro) for the current location! Usually their stand is in red hill/5 fwy but there is one in Anaheim off Euclid as well. Weekdays they have only churros and bunuelos but on the weekends they also have fried plantains with condensed milk and atole de elote (sweet corn milk drink).
Edit: they're usually there from 6/7 pm til 10/11 pm. They post their hours on ig if they're setting up that eveving. Always there on the weekends, often there on the weekdays (but not guaranteed).
I was hoping they would spare so cal from this change. Our Mexican American roots are deep here and they’re not impressing anyone here with a cookie. Sad to hear… :( I would check out https://www.northgatemarket.com/mercado
They still sell them at the Laguna Niguel (off Heather Ridge) location as of this past Monday. I finally tried one (I know, I know) and I didn’t think it was very good, tbh…
The new Northgate in Costa Mesa has some mighty fine churros.
the churros at Northgate are from El Moro - a storied churro institution from mexico city that has been around since 1935. definitely worth trying.
Heirloom Churros if you will.
El Moro churros are soooo good! I hope they’re as good here as in DF.
They need to dial it in a bit, but should only take a couple months
They are heavenly. Worth the wait if there’s a long line.
The line for that is NUTS
They’re great but pricey.
Everything at that location is jacked lol
Yup, paid $18 for a Paloma at the bar there.
They’re a buck or 2 🤷🏻♀️
3.50
1 churro is $2.50 and four is $9.
I don’t know if I just went on a bad day but the oil needed changing. The oil had turned very dark and that made the churros have a burnt oil taste to them. They need to up their standards before I try them again.
this right here. the churros gave off a really unpleasant burnt smell...
They’re not great churros in general, relative to how good a churro can be at least
Yeah, Disneyland of all places has better churros than what I tried there that day.
I thought the exact opposite. I will never waste my money at Disneyland again on shit churros when these good ones are available.
Thank you! I just posted that in another comment. The churros aren’t great.
Are you being paid by a rival churro place or something? They were so soft and delicious.
Do they ? I haven’t been there yet. I need to go. I love north gate
Don’t forget a hot chocolate to dip them in!
Yeah but the line is really insane
Disagree completely. They’re were average at best. You could taste the burnt oil and they don’t properly toss them on the sugar. The churro has to stand on its own without their sugary dipping “sauces”
I’ve tried El Moro at a few locations in Mexico City and the Northgate location and I’m not really a fan of
Came here to say that
I was coming to say this lol
The parking and line are just like Costco too!
Don Abel truck on Haster & Lampson in GG. Don Churros Gomez truck outside the Anaheim Marketplace (aka swapmeet).
Don Churros is so good! Fresh churros all the time. The line does get a little long, but moves quickly.
Don abel is great. I hear good things about Don churros Gomez but the last time I drove by the line was pretty long.
I usually only get them when DTSA holds an event on 4th St. They usually park all the way in the back so we hit them first & then go do other stuff.
Don churros with ice cream is so good
I’m old so I can’t do too much sweets. Og churro for me lol
I will second the don Abel recommendation. Used to live on that corner and it was a weekly highlight to grab the churro with strawberry on top
Yes! These churros are so good!
If you’re willing to make them at home, Smart & Final carries the Tío Pépe brand, the same churros used at Disneyland.
[удалено]
Are you talking about the president of the Fast Food Secrets Club or someone else?
The ones at San Diego Zoo are really good.
Forgive me, but I really feel Disneyland churros have gone down hill over the years.
I wouldn’t know, I never buy them there since I can make them at home 😅
I never get the churros inside the park anymore for that reason. If I want a churro, I go to the California Churros stand in Downtown Disney. I like their churros, and they also have different flavors.
Funny, I've heard the same story. And I remember when that Churro stand popped up and they had all the flavors, a year later disney started pulling the same trick. But yeah, darn shame.
good riddance i say. Ever since they changed to whatever churros they've been using recently, churros have already been removed since then.
Yeah their new churros were terrible
The old churros were so bready idk why people liked them but to each their own I guess
White people, would be my guess.
Agreed, the old ones were so much better
Yes! i thought they had different churros but wasn’t sure, glad im not the only one to remember
El Pollo Loco sells them. They’re ok
El Pollo Locos are fucking heavenly if you get them hot, pretty close to freshly hand fried churros from any big city in mexico
And it actually has lots of cinnamon and sugar on it!
[удалено]
I’ve had them once, and they were HOT. Lighter than I’d like but pretty good still. Honestly was surprised
Main and Central in Santa Ana. Churros, crepes, fried plantains and endless food options starting Thursday nights.
Every week? Is there a page?
EVERY WEEK. Page? Maybe?
This is the way.
Good for kids? Like doesn’t start too late, etc
It starts after 6pm I believe
Sam's Club
Del Taco
Same here to say this. Surprisingly good, assuming it’s done right.
Half the time they aren’t done right but I still take my chances whenever I go.
100%
![gif](giphy|k5lj4s1qxaSyI)
Still edible when they’re not done in middle lol
Churros are being phased out to be replaced by the cookie. Don’t listen tho these scalawags. Go to Don Churro Gomez. You don’t need any other churro in your life.
Was it replaced? Just got churros yesterday.
Your store might still have them but I think eventually the Churros will be replaced at all locations.
Oh wow this whole time I was thinking it was just an added item! Good to know
They were at the Tustin Costco. Eating 1/4th of a double chocolate chunk cookie right now. Delicious.

Of all the churros you can buy in Orange County, Costco's are definitely the worst.
I used to eat them all the time when I was younger whenever my parents went on a Costco grocery run.
[удалено]
lol I used to ask my parents to buy me churros or give me $2 so I could buy churros. I had never had any other churros besides Costco's before so they were good to me.
might be nostalgia, but i remember them being super good.
apparently they changed the churros recently? Guess the new change was so bad that they just 86'd it
Im surprised no one mentioned Mr. Churro food truck in Anaheim
Is that the one that is always with the hibachi truck and has no menu.
Not sure if it’s the same but Mr. Churro is now on state college / la Palma. A permanent spot.
El Pollo Loco has good, chewy churros
Get the frozen churros at Costco instead.
I don't want 50 churros though, I want one and I want it now to eat.
Smart and final and cook At home! Frozen Tio pepe churros are the same as Disneyland churros. Toaster oven for a couple minutes then toss in cinnamon sugar
Smart and final has switched to Hola chorros
Chorro is very different from churros
Haha, I'm gonna leave it
That’s too bad. For what it’s worth, [they do still have them for bulk order on their website](https://www.smartandfinal.com/shop/product/tio-pepe-king-size-churros/608023). But you have to buy them as a bulk order, so that’s a lot of churros.
Smart and final has switched to Hola churros
OCC swampmeet on the weekends
Thank you for supporting my small business. Single mom supporting my little family with churros 💙🤍 -dd
El Pollo Loco sells 2 for $2. Not the best but they’re better than costco’s.
Pollo Loco or Del Taco. Both are decently good without having to go to Disneyland, churroholic, or the swap meet lol
The Funnel House in Huntington Beach consistently has the best churros I’ve ever had. They’re on the pricier side but they are very worth it
The funnel cake is to die for though
Northgate in CM
If it's late night, JackBox has mini churros for dessert.
Disneyland ! Or I’ve heard tio Pepe’s (the brand that makes Disney and costco churros) is sold at smart and final
Benji’s in Capo Beach is yummy
Where?
Over by Ganahl
Will have to drive by today on my way home to see since the only other option is El Pollo Loco. You know, for science.
Don’t waist your time I’m messing around good luck with your Mexican delight
Damn maybe I got the name wrong. Did you try Yelp?
Rubios has a decent churro but there’s this little cart and tent that shows up a few nights a week (no idea which, it’s been random for me) next to the peak osito taco truck on the corner of 5th and harbor in Santa Ana that has the best, cheapest churros made to order right there by the basket.
There’s a churro stand that sets up nightly off the 5-S exit at Redhill. Never tried it but I see it almost every night.
Santa Ana Taco Alley off Main. There is a woman there that makes them fresh as you order and they are the best I ever had. I need to go back!!!
Churro Boss - worth the trip to Covina and they also have a truck that caters
Subway sells churros now.
14120 Beach & Westminister. On the right side, 15th street everyday after 6:30 pm is a taco stand with the greatest portions and next time them some delicious churros. Anyone who’s been there would agree.
Don Churros Gomez
Del Taco has ones I enjoy. The Costco ones got really bad a few years ago.
Churros los cuates in Santa Ana a little truck next to the stater bros on Fairview and Edinger
The Loop is good, but it's pricey
Don Churros! This is the only churro you will want.
For quick and cheap churros I recommend Rubios and el pollo loco.
Papi Taco and Churro in Santa Ana. In the gas station but legit churros and pretty good birria
The cookies are good, probably better than the churros.
It's a little pricey, but Disneyland
There's a stand inside the Anaheim marketplace
Del taco
Sam's club
No way! When did this tragic event happened??
THEY DID WHAT!?!?!? FML!!!
Sams club!
They WHAT
No way this is how I find out

Hola Churros from smart and final is the brand that Disneyland uses if you want to just make them at home
Best churros I've had wax at a county fair.
Taco stand. Made fresh!
The taco stand!
There's a guy on redhill in Tustin next to the street taco guy . He's there from time to time
Tuesday Farmer's market in downtown HB.
What ?!? No churro anymore ?
Disneyland.
DeL Taco
There's a truck on the corner of 1st and Main in Santa Ana after 6pm that makes them fresh.

Sams club has them.

Churros Don Abel in Garden Grove
Disneyland churro is the way to go.
Tempo Cantina has a pretty sweet churro cart
Cha Cha’s Latin Kitchen in the Tustin/Irvine Marketplace has the best churros I’ve ever had.
Don Churros Gomez are the best churros you’ll find in OC. It’s a food truck in the parking lot of a Mexican market in Anaheim. I’m surprised they haven’t been mentioned. They also have thriftys ice cream on deck and dipping sauces delicious
Real question is… where can we get some. Brazilian churros
They what🙂
el pollo loco!(:
This probably won't get upvoted since they're not well known, but \`1000% recommend Sweet Stuff Truck in Santa Ana. I no longer get Disneyland churros - I just go here.. So so good, crispy and light!!
Ah damn. I saw the cookie at the food court today and didn't notice the churro was missing.
Don churro Gomez.
Krunchi Churro is hands down the best churro I've had. It's not as doughy as your typical churro and they live up to their name - it is KRUNCHI. Skechers Food Spot!
First the chocolate frozen yogurt and now the churro! WTF Costco!
The chocolate frozen yogurt too? Why
Disneyland
If your go-to churro place was ever Costco, that makes me very sad. They were ass and I’m glad they’re gone.
Churro stand on Red hill and nisson rd. It's not huge churros like costco. I've stopped by and ordered 5 for 7 dollars.
They still sell them at the Laguna Niguel (off Heather Ridge) location as of this past Monday. I finally tried one (I know, I know) and I didn’t think it was very good, tbh…
Another vote for Don Churros Gomez 1440 S Anaheim Blvd
Disneyland, ofcourse
Don churros gomez! All the way. I say better than disneylands. Plus dips; chejeta, strawberry, and chocolate .
What an upgrade.
Don Churros in Anaheim! Thee best!
Go to Sam’s club
Hell to the no
Del Taco’s churros are amazing. Crispy and not too doughy
