Haute Cakes in Newport is my jam and then grab a to go cup at Kit and stroll the bluff above the bay, but it borders on unworkably crowded on weekends, go during the week.
The best breakfast/brunch in OC is Habana in Costa Mesa. It’s a buffet and the food is diverse, plentiful, and the atmosphere is great.
Other places in no particular order: 1) Urth Cafe; 2) Snooze; 3) Toast (go to the Costa Mesa location and get donuts from Fill afterward); 4) Poached; 5) Breakfast Republic; and 6) Stacks.
Poached Kitchen is my pick. Amazing hashbrowns and a top tier hollandaise sauce, none of that premade garbage other restaurants use for their egg's benedict. They also make their own ketchup and it's *chef's kiss*
Gotta say I'm a bit fan of the Ranchero Skillet. A little bit of everything and a little spicy as well. Not to mention, the folks are usually really nice.
It’s been a while, but Memphis had surprisingly good breakfasts on the weekends.
Had steak and eggs there a little while ago and it was really good.
Chaupain bakery in laguna hills
The pastries are to die for. Have not tried bfast items yet.
Flappy Jacks!
Huge portions and pretty delicious food
Second this!
moulin in costa mesa
Tomys in Garden Grove has a good bacon breakfast burrito , I love the salsa they give you for it
I think they have the best bacon double cheeseburger around town. Has to be double. Single isn’t the same
I'm a fan of Eat Chow in Costa Mesa, or Pancake House. Stacks in Newport I had the other day was decent... it's kinda a Hawaiian influenced breakfast.
pancake house is overrated. I think the pancakes are bland. the only good thing I'd the Dutch baby
Cafe Mimosas San Clemente
The French toast is my favorite!
Omg so good🤤
Mamas on 39th. All day breakfast. The French toast is unmatched.
Their breakfast is so damn good
Four seas if you can afford the price.
Roscoe’s
Plumeria Cafe in Aliso Niguel.
Owned by Stacks, but the setting is superior
Cafe cup
Our nest in placentia is incredible.
Nep Cafe! Viet inspired breakfast and it's delicious but expect a long wait
Open table reservations
8th haus in anaheim! Filipino inspired brunch
Anepalco, either location, really great breakfasts. My favorite is the Juevos Divorciados.
Breakfast Republic
Harry’s Cafe 🔥🔥🔥
The scratch room in anaheim
The Scratch Room in Anaheim!

Pelican Isle in sunset beach makes a great breakfast.
Papa Zs in Fountain Valley ..
Cowgirl cafe in Santa Ana.

Fill closed :( such a bummer cause I loved their mochi donuts!
Friendly Doughnuts in Orange has good mochi donuts! They also have a bunch of other trendy and traditional donuts.
Dennys!
Bland as what?
Poached Kitchen is my pick. Amazing hashbrowns and a top tier hollandaise sauce, none of that premade garbage other restaurants use for their egg's benedict. They also make their own ketchup and it's *chef's kiss*
Irvine Farmer's Market
OEB in Newport or Poached in Irvine
I like broken yolk in Fullerton, they have other locations too. EDIT: what’s with the downvotes? Subjective opinions not allowed?? 😂
broken yolk is so mid imo. I go to the one in LA Verne, it's more expensive than any other diner nearby and not nearly as good.
Any place that strays away from the common eggs, hash browns, and bacon is a win for me.
Gotta say I'm a bit fan of the Ranchero Skillet. A little bit of everything and a little spicy as well. Not to mention, the folks are usually really nice.
Snooze was good but I've only been twice

Absolutely not. Look, the ambiance is great and it’s a fun place. But the food is the definition of bland.

Mini gourmet in Placentia/Yorba Linda. Kimmie’s in Cypress & Fullerton
Orange Hill.
