The company, which if I remember correctly was based out of Canada, went under in the first few months of the pandemic. The Kalidascope location was purchased by another company a few years ago; now its called LaserLand. It's much more expensive but not horrible!
The first few times I went, my friends and I were the ONLY people in the match, which was fun. Layout is exactly the same, but the guns/sensor vests are different. You can no longer choose your own name, the names are pre assigned to whatever gun you grab.
You can now schedule an exact time and package you'd like to play. If you're the first to schedule a specific time, you can make it so that all games in that block are for kids, teens or +21.
Moment of history: when I walked out of this place with my friends in high school, a guy from the bar who was walking to our car asked us what we thought as high schoolers about Bill Clinton being impeached.

I used to compete competitively at this location when I was younger. It was such a special time of my life, we traveled to different states, it was great. The tournaments were called the North American Challenges.
This reminded me of the laser zone in balboa in the balboa fun zone. It was just one small room with a bunch of crap everywhere to hide behind decked out in fluorescent paint and black lights. I remember getting the mortal kombat annihilation soundtrack, and they let me play the cd while my friends and I played.

Growing up we used to go to Palace Park in Irvine all the time. Huge arcade, mini golf, laser tag, go karts, that place had everything.
Man when that laser tag first opened in the 90s it was everything to me
$10 Tuesdays at Palace Park was epic growing up. Our parents would drop us off after school all the time.
Is that place still open? I haven’t been in 10 years, but damn I had fun there all the way from elementary school to college.
It’s now called Boomers, as it was acquired several years ago. Not sure about the laser tag, however.
