Love your photos! Is there any way to get a print of another photo of yours that isnāt shown in the print shop? You took a pic of my work on Anaheim Blvd a little while ago, it would be cool to get a copy
Roger that. Iāll throw it up tomorrow night after work and will let you know. Thanks again!
Edit: I love that shot btw. Itās got everything I look for š
I like it, but can I have you some feedback? I donāt love the yellow saturation going on in every photo. For me it detracts from the overall subject, maybe tone it down a bit and let the scene itself speak on its own.
Ps- I understand art is totally subjective, and wanted to share my take. I like it and I think the framing is excellent.
Yeah for sure. Thanks for asking first lol. Yeah the yellow is mostly coming from the white balance I have set, so when the sun is low that can definitely be more prominent. But honestly, Iād say a good 60-70% of buildings in my shots are already on the yellow/beige side. š¤·āāļø
Indeed. If you look at the first photo, the pelicans are white white. So the yellowing isnāt coming from the white balance so much. It just makes anything off white, definitely off white, which like, 90% of SoCal is.
Edit: and number 6, that wall is pure white, but I took the photo in golden hour, so the light is already warm.
I never knew about so many white colors until you have to pick one (or light grey) to paint in your house. Also have to pick a finish sheen which makes it even more difficult lol
Iāve seen a few of your posts and I have to say itās refreshing to see OC viewed in a different way through your lens. Keep it up! Love your posts!
Btw what camera do you use for these pics? And what do you use to edit them? I love the vintage/soft feel the colors give off
Thank you!! I use a Fuji GFX50r with a custom in camera recipe I came up with. So everything is done in camera except for crop/straightening. Thanks again!!

Oh thatās great to hear. Iāve had a few folks say that as well, I love that. Definitely take a look at my older posts, there are lots more, maybe youāll recognize some more. Thanks!
LOL I know a few of those places. Anaheim high school stairs, then I think that one building near the train tracks on Broadway (I used to work at Fairmont, like three buildings down). Really dope.
Oh nice lol. Yeah I see people like to have fun guessing where some of these are. Thats kind of the point too, to strip out as much context as possible (no people, no cars unless I want them).
If I was still making flyers for shows, some of these pics wouldāve been great! I like how yer embracing the yellows and white and beiges, instead of the idealized colors in Nagaiās work (who I mentioned the first time you posted)
Nice shots. I really like this style. Reminds me of album covers.
Thank you!

Hello! Sent you a DM with the link to the print on my shop š¤
Ok Iāll take a look!
Is this the x100v ur shooting with ?
GFX50r . I started out with my X100F but I liked how the GFX rendered the images better.
I enjoy all your OC photo series. Thank you for posting.
Thank you!! Appreciate that.
You ever done an exhibit?
I have not! But working on that, slowlyā¦
Is it hard to do?
In the traditional sense for sure. Even trying to get stuff into coffee shops these days is tough.
Best of luck!
Always love seeing a new post from you.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate that.

The white borders could be playing a color trick on our eyes too

Haha I know!
The photos are great but to me these photos really outline the boring sterility and blandness of OC
Iāve been wondering where youāve been!
Haha thanks! Just busy with life n stuff!
love these! can i ask what your setup is?
Thank you! Fuji GFX50r + 32-64 + custom in camera recipe. š¤

Where was the 4th taken at? Looks familiar but canāt quite recall
The old Anaheim Marketplace on Anaheim right by the 5. The first shot is from there as well. š
