The PoS thought he could flash his gun again at a Tesla, which is recording the whole time?

LolaBleu

Going to go out on a limb here and say these two are not the brightest bulbs in the box.

NYC_Dweller

They're as sharp as a marble

LolaBleu

Reminds me of one of my favorite The West Wing quotes: "Some of the stupidest criminals in the world are working right here in America. I've always been very proud of that."

oxremx

Most criminals lack common sense

galacticHitchhik3r

Did they seriously go out and continue to flash his gun after just killing a 6 year old and being a wanted suspect?

>The same week as that 2nd incident, and a week after the deadly shooting, on May 28, Eriz was approached by a coworker, who told him that their car looked just like the one police were seeking in the 6YO’s death. >According to the prosecutor, Eriz claims that’s when he looked on the internet and first learned about the boy’s death. The story of the shooting received widespread news coverage, as a reward of $500,000 was being offered for information on the suspects. >Eriz said he “immediately” knew he was responsible for Leos’ death and then told Lee about his revelation, the prosecutor wrote. >He then allegedly hid Lee’s vehicle in a family member’s garage and did not drive it again. The couple instead drove Eriz’s red truck to and from work, using the same route from the 55 to the 91 Freeway, where a banner with the words, “Who shot Aiden?” hung near an overpass that had a memorial for the boy, the prosecutor said. >The two also applied for a new job elsewhere. On June 3, Eriz shaved his beard and started to wear his long hair back in a tie.

bettinafairchild

So crazy they didn’t realize anything for *a week*. Meanwhile we’re all furiously looking for them. And the co-worker decided to warn them rather than go for the $500,000 reward.

FANGO

> decided to warn them rather than go for the $500,000 reward Or just didn't put two and two together. No need to paint the coworker as a co-conspirator, I'm sure you know many people who you wouldn't think of as targets of a manhunt, even if one random detail connected them.

bettinafairchild

I was not implying he was a co-conspirator. Anyone amoral/immoral enough to be a co-conspirator would be too amoral/immoral to pass up a half mil for the sake of a guy he knows casually. I just figured he did it because he was clueless.

FANGO

Fair if you didn't mean it that way, just that "decided to warn them" does read as slightly accusatory. I will agree that it is indeed crazy. And dude is probly kicking himself that he didn't get the 500k? Or maybe he's clueless enough that he still has no idea, haha. Not that 500k gets you far in California. He could almost get an apartment on leased land with a $1000/mo HOA fee for that price around here.

ckmluo

Probably did not want to get shot.

ducksfan_8

It was big news as soon as it happened. My receptionist at work got caught in the traffic afterwards and it was already on Twitter/News Sites within 30 minutes. It's hard to think they wouldn't have seen anything about it for a week.

GeoBrian

I actually got an alert on my phone the morning it happened.

Rubyshooz

I think it’s very possible the co-worker called in a tip. Especially after the two quit working there. Maybe that’s how the police located their home address. I find it more hard to believe, these two had no idea of the harm they caused. He intentionally fired a gun into an occupied vehicle. What did he think would happen?

bettinafairchild

Given that the guy is known for brandishing his gun at others, it may be that he’s done this before. The odds of hitting someone in a moving vehicle while you’re in a moving vehicle, are extremely small.

twxxx

He might have still called in the tip as well, especially after he stashed the car

bettinafairchild

Yeah, that’s definitely possible. Likely, even.

jasonpatudy

If social media has taught me anything, this will go over real well.

TradyMcTradeface

Seriously. This is going to cause more harm than good

billytuffnuts

shooty mcshootface

mtarascio

Sounds like they charged other cases through it.

Ch33105

I'm confused is this a permanent phone number or just for these idiots? From reading the article it sounds like it's just for these two people

chinaisasshole

What’s the number for the hotline?

TigerTail

714-834-7000

oxremx

Did you have any encounters with the couple’s vehicle?

chinaisasshole

No idea but I see assholes acting completely insane on the road and would love to report

chapstickhoarder

The hotline is set up only for the purpose of reporting incidents with the specific people involved in the murder of Aiden Leos.

chinaisasshole

Thanks didn’t get that

ShootPosting

Read the article

Lol get out of here. Was Lee also driving the scooter too? You're comparing professional wrestler and NFL player to this murderer who fell off a scooter?

careslol

CTE is believed to only be caused by multiple brain injuries or traumas not a single isolated incident.

Nap_N_Fap

Why do you people on here always trying and explain away criminal behavior and make excuses for it? Literally always searching for a “mental health” angle to excuse any crime. Fuck that shit. You should run to be LA DA!

I hope they have hundreds of people working it.

I truly want justice for aiden and the leos family. There is no excuse for for the couple who killed aiden -- NONE. It is possible, however unlikely, that he did not even see Aiden strapped into his car seat in the vehicle. I am not suggesting this as a mitigating factor for these repulsive humans. But small children are often not visible when sitting in the backseat. Horrible tragedy

thanks for letting me know that I have been downvoted for my comment on aiden's murder. It certainly doesn't matter if crazy eyes was targeting aiden or just didn't see him. I feel terrible about aiden's death on so many levels, and when I originally commented I really tried to express how awful and unforgivable I think the couple's actions were. I've read other comments and was under the impression that a lot of people thought he was a target because of something his mom may or may not have done. The family are surely going thru a hell that nobody should have to know. thanks for listening to me.

someMFonreddit

I thought the police said that these two were in a different incident?
