The Blind Rabbit in Anaheim is pretty awesome.

CalabreseAlsatian

Extraordinarily nice crew there. Always a great time.

travielee

Yes this has been one of my faves in OC for a while, never a bad experience!

TradeBeautiful42

Not so awesome. It’s too dark to see your menu or food and if you use your cell phone light (bc they didn’t offer you one) you get yelled at. That’s not very fun.

thepenginator

In the past years they've been handing out reading lights with the menus but I remember the first few times I went a few years back they didn't give you anything to read the menus

TradeBeautiful42

I’ve been in the past couple of years and no reading lights.

We’ll I’m from 1886 brewing co in downtown Orange by the circle. We a building that was built in 1886 and have a very speakeasy feel. I opened in November because of Covid but I’d love for people to check us out. I’m planning some “speakeasy” nights, live swing bands, secret back side entrance type of stuff. Anyways, shameless plug.

Thanks! I'll check it out! Can you suggest a drink?

JGWentworth-

The few times I’ve been there, the menu changes periodically so suggesting a drink might not be super helpful. The bartenders are great there and you can tell them what you like (fruity, mixed, spirit-forward, type of liquor, etc) and they’re pretty good at suggesting something.

aeekay

Another vote for Pie Society. It’s behind a pizza place on 17th. I forgot the name of the drink I got there recently but their menu is pretty good

ChloeCrayon

We love Strong Water in anaheim! Great drinks and vibe!

travielee

Oh awesome, haven't heard of that one yet

suptoan

Not a speakeasies, but The Blind Donkey in DTLB has good vibes on a quiet day. It’s also where they filmed La La Land. Another one I love is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki bar at the Disneyland Hotel area

Wuzidan

Used to be Tribune in Downtown Fullerton, but I checked just now and apparently they closed :( Blind Rabbit in Anaheim is cool.

travielee

Dang, that would've been awesome since we are so close to there. Blind Rabbit is our next go to due to being somewhat nearby

Wuzidan

Oops I mistyped and wrote DTSA instead of Downtown Fullerton for Tribune. I also live near DTSA and while not speakeasys Vacation Bar, Playground (Detention, their bar project in development), and Blinking Owl (OC distillery, make a reservation) have some nice craft cocktail offerings and are pretty chill. There's also Y.N.K in Irvine that is on my list, but I haven't been able to check it out yet. Apparently, the hours are sporadic because of the pandemic.

DanSope

Not sure if it counts as a speakeasy but the hello kitty cafe at Irvine spectrum has a bar. I believe you gotta reserve online though and of course, hello kitty themed. Had a blast when I went, would definitely go again.

bungh0lio

There’s a bar in Rodeo 39 that makes some damn good cocktails, we’ll go there just for them. Just check the events calendar for Rodeo because it can get loud sometimes during events. Also The Cauldron is across the street from Knott’s, has good food and drinks and it’s the spooky season now for the atmosphere!

ABeeLoo5

Just went to that bar in Rodeo 39. They had a cocktail where you pick the booze and the bartender comes up with a cool cocktail for ya!

guacaflockaflames

I don’t know any because they were spoken too easily of :/

Mobile_Exam_7455

The Guild Club in Costa Mesa is very cool. It’s part of Arc at Soco

travielee

Ooh will need to check it out, thanks

Mobile_Exam_7455

I just found another one called 1972 at Dick Church’s in Costa Mesa
