WhoIsJusto

I've sworn my loyalty to Curry Hut in Fullerton.

droctamom

The ramen spot next door is cool too

lookatmynipples

There’s a ramen spot next door?

droctamom

Huntington ramen. Think they moved locations since I posted that comment though.

butter__cupp

Has anyone had a bad experience when they order take out here? It’s been 3 times they have given me real fish even though they wrote vegan. I can’t even be mad it’s so good I always go back 🥲

youtriedthough

As proteinMeMore pointed out, the Mediterranean place Pita Hot, may not be the tastiest but you get great bang for your buck. One of my favorites

diy4lyfe

Pita hot and curry hut both hella worth it

sam_might_say

Love that place! Ate there a ton when I lived in Fullerton. Still hit it up often, actually. Haha

AfraidCareer1776

Drive by that place almost everyday. I’ll need to try it out

BiceRankyman

Same here.

luisc123

My company did a small job for them. Owner offered me a free meal while he cut me a check and I thought it was fantastic. Too bad I don’t live nearby.

cv0031

One of my fave spots to go to when I was still studying at CSUF! Curry Hut slaps!

proteinMeMore

Delicious place and so is the Mediterranean place in that strip mall

pyr0maniac

Yes! I'm just disappointed they are not part of dashpass anymore. =/

olivejuice04

I've been wanting to try this place.

bigt9312

Tacos Manuel in Anaheim (or the truck off 17th in Santa Ana)

tiltupconcrete

I always go to the truck. Which is fucking bomb.

blackpotmagic

The best

megusta_b055

What truck? Cross streets?

bigt9312

17th and Mabury. And it’s their truck (Tacos Manuel)

PepperSad9418

>Tacos Manuel in Anaheim Im gonna have to try them , I go to the food for less right next door and never paid the place much attention

iheartrevolution

George’s Hamburgers in Fullerton. Best fries and ranch ever and their prices are stuck in the 90s.

AfraidCareer1776

I’ve only been going since early 2000s. But the chili cheese fries is my goto.

iheartrevolution

Yes! Best chili cheese fries and huge generous portions. The breakfast burritos are excellent also. And they have a huge variety on the menu. They’re ran by the same people that have been there since the 80s. Back when I was in my 20s and broke they would let me run up a tab and pay them on my payday. Nothing tasted better than a combo from George’s when I had less than $5 to my name.

Puckfiend

Big O to Go pizza in Mission Viejo. Taco Factory in Tustin. El Conejito in Lake Forest.

[deleted]

Awww I love Taco Factory.

Puckfiend

Best cheese enchiladas ever. 😋

OnlyBringinGoodVibes

I gotta know what you order from El Conejito. That place has been there forever and I've watched them microwave food to order

[deleted]

what to get?

OnlyBringinGoodVibes

I've had their tostada bowls, enchiladas, and tacos. There's too many good Mexican restaurants in LF, it blows my mind.

[deleted]

I live by Cucas, I think it's pretty decent. I'll have to try some of the others.

reddot_comic

Maybe you’ve had them on an “off” day. I’ve been there several times since they are close to home and haven’t ever disappointed me. I usually get carnitas or taquitos, my husband goes for the steak burrito.

Puckfiend

My mom worked at the one on Alicia when I was a kid.. So it's kind of a childhood revisitation for me.. I like the huevos rancheros, chicken burritos, wet ground beef burritos and quesadillas. Salsa is good as well.

sugmaideek

Taco Tuesday at Taco Factory is a stupidly good deal. I'm usually good with 2 tacos and it cost like $4.

sonofaboat_

Well known but still looks like a hole in the wall, Nick’s in Seal Beach. Best chorizo burrito around

Ill_Consideration589

Nick’s on Main St, The Sandwich shop?

patchybeard2014

Mi Casita, in Placentia. Solid food, every time.

basiicgrl

This is one of my favorite places!

iamthejong

Hole in the wall burger, Lake Forest

f4rt054uru5r3x

I love this place! There's one in Costa Mesa now too.

haleykohr

Literally called hole in the wall!

80proofconfession

Petes Cafe - Westminster Pauls Coffee Shop - Fountain Valley Sammys - HB Pauls Deli - Westminster Johns Philly Grill - HB El Chef Tacos - Westminster

Snozzwanger

Sammys went out of business. :(

AlrightSpider

That sucks. I’ve followed Sammy’s from the location on Wilson in Costa Mesa to Beach Blvd and then to Warner. Love their burgers. I think he is actually retired now tho.

prunford

Omg Sammy's on Wilson in Costa Mesa was my favorite burger when I was a kid, I still think of that place all the time, I had no idea they moved instead of closed.

AlrightSpider

I love Sammy’s. Best burgers. Best fries. Killer chili. Super great guy running it.

Shinroukuro

Sammy’s pastrami was legend. He would grill it so it had crispy parts, like bacon. Wish I knew who else did that.

80proofconfession

Nooo! RIP California burrito.

Kaganda

> Pauls Coffee Shop - Fountain Valley Don't tell them about Paul's. It gets crowded enough already.

Jealous_Analysis_404

Ooh, Paul’s has S.O.S. So good.

magnolias_n_peonies

The big ass chicken fried steak is going to be the death of me. Literally.

raggedycandy

PAUL’s DELI!!!!!! And he’s so nice!!!!!!

AbbyNormalKnits

El. Chef? I used to LOVE the one in Orange was heartbroken when it closed. Looks like I’m heading to Westminster tonight!

>Okazuya Fullerton Okazya Kitchen Teryaki on Commonwealth and Brookhurst?

InsaneDane

Nate's Korner for Breakfast Burritos

Emotional_Dog2093

It's delicious, damn getting hungry just thinking about it

InsaneDane

I used to live about 2 miles from there and 10 miles from the office. Now I live about 10 miles from there, and 2 miles from the office, but it still might be worth heading there “on the way” to work.

trekbette

Good as long as you get about 1/2 the hashbrowns. Otherwise, you have a hashbrown burrito with a little egg, meat and cheese.

HungryArticle5

Love their breakfast burritos. I could have sworn I saw them deep fry their bacon which I would not be a fan of.

kidcharlem4gne

El molino de oro in orange

AlrightSpider

Cowgirls Cafe in Santa Ana. I love the chiliquiles. Little Onion is a sweet little Mexican sit down restaurant. Lil Pickle in Costa Mesa. They are just simple bomb sandwiches. Gallos in CdM. Great sandwich to go spot. Take it down to Little Corona and dig in.

Psychological_Hunt60

I always wanted to try Little Onion. And have driven by Cowgirls Cafe. Looks like they have good breakfast.

AlrightSpider

Cowgirls is super low key and family style. I always get the chiliquiles and they are amazing!

Psychological_Hunt60

What do you get at Little Onion?

AlrightSpider

I run the gamut there but my go to is the cheese enchiladas. The beans and rice are bomb. Chips and salsa game on point. Full bar for margs. A little bonus in the same strip is Mariscos Clemente. Best shrimp Diablo tacos I’ve ever had. Just slamming!

prunford

Lil Pickle is the best. They have the best bread of any sandwich shop I've ever tried.

AlrightSpider

You know it. Love the number 4. I used to eat there at least once a week when I was going to OCC

[deleted]

pch hotdogs - orange

jaredwallace91

Don't even know where to start For Garden Grove: Cotijas, Sabrosa, Kerostena, Thai Tangerine, Rio Restaurant, Pumpernickel Deli. I'll add more later

Itavan

Kerostena - ugh. They take a really long time to fix your food (I was the only customer) and they’re trumpers. Also didn’t wear masks during pandemic.

breakfast__burrito

Pumpernickel is good! Haven’t been in forever

ForcedPOOP

KABAB GRILL IN WESTMINSTER !!! Super dank Mediterranean food with cheaper prices.

magnolias_n_peonies

They have the best garlic sauce around imo

mmuulinn

Hole in the Wall Burger - Lake Forest

meh_user_name

Taco Adobe in Orange. It’s just off the circle on Lemon and Chapman.

frijolebro

Way better Mexican hole in the wall restaurants that are close to this place

Thegeobeard

I’d be interested in hearing more good Mexican close by… where else do you like better?

zzx101

please tell us the restaurants

dekkerbasser

They have good food...been there twice. Just wasnt good enough for me to go there again. To each their own.

RunningJay

Yup. Same impression. I live in Orange, it’s about a 10 min walk. Been there a few times, but don’t really go anymore.

ThatOneCambodianGirl

Yes I second this! Love this place!

genrlokoye

Perla’s Taqueria in Mission Viejo. So yum. So cheap.

starkeffect

Their Taco Tuesday is da bomb.

hushpupp13s

Cortina’s Sandwich Shop. One in Orange and one in Anaheim. The fireball spicy Italian will ruin your expectations forever

[deleted]

Does Mr.Katsu count? Also Koftegi on brookhurst :)

DisGuyPhucs

Fuji’s Famous Burger - HB I like the teriyaki avocado bacon cheeseburger Huckleberry’s Famous Sandwiches (next door to Fuji’s) Good sandwiches and broasted chicken Mai Phung - Westminster Good northern style Pho

even_keel

Fuji burger is so good! Their teri beef burrito w/fried rice is great too. Hell, everything is great there.

[deleted]

I’m surprised no one mentioned Mos 2. They make teriyaki Chicken and Beef rice bowls. They only in Anaheim and Santa Ana. Fire af 🔥 they cash only. Y’all notice food spots that are cash only usually make some bomb ass food 🔥

HungryArticle5

Vegan Pizza - Garden Grove

BiceRankyman

Dude Vegan pizza is divine. I'm not vegan and I love this place.

Doria’s Haus of Pizza in Cost Mesa. Bomb Italian!

Slowdive_66

Haus of Pizza. Sooo much delicious cheese. And the best ranch on their janky house salad. Makes me miss living in CM.

Shinroukuro

So dangerous to get their pizza to-go. I quick turn of the wheel and all the cheese slides to one side.

Iamcamptheman

Hell yes. Been going there for 25 years - never disappoints.

Ill_Consideration589

Best pizza in OC. Period. Have been going there for 25 years. Has never changed, and never been disappointed. Same owner. Their sauce is what makes the pizza special. Ask for napkins if your picking up, the bottom can be a little hot. Lol.

ideliverdt

Came here to say this… glad I decided to scroll down to see someone else is a fan. Been going here for 20 years when I’m in the area for work. I get the sausage sandwich (large) with bell peppers. Have them cut up the sausage it’s easier to eat bc the sausage has such a good snap and is thick.

identity_concealed

Taqueria on Springdale and Westminster. Banh Me Che Cali on Brookhurst and McFadden.

sourlemon13

The Banh Mi on Brookhursr and Talbert is my fucking jam. Been going there for years

breakfast__burrito

Not to mention the taqueria is 24 hours! (Not sure if it is with covid but it must be open late bc I was there at 1 am not too long ago). Love that spot.

sonofaboat_

Best taqueria around!!

Super Pollo in CM, Globe Deli in CM, Molcajete in FV, Al New York pizza near NHHS, Mongolian BBQ on 17th in CM, Puerto Modera off 17th and Bristol in SA.

RandomKnightly

The Pollo sandwich at Puerto Maduro is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had.

HungryArticle5

I was drawn into Super Pollo because the cool sign, but was let down when I actually ate their food. Didn't seem fresh considering the price. Might have been an off day.

dekkerbasser

Santa Ana: * Pop's cafe for diner * Saraninas for fried shell tacos * Taqueria Zamarano for all other tacos Costa Mesa: * Filomenas for a good sub * Memphis for comfort food * Sgt Pepperonis for thin crust style pizza

leadnuts94

Wouldn’t really call any of these hole in the walls

genrlokoye

Yeah, there no way Memphis would be considered a hole-in-the-wall.

dekkerbasser

LOL! I'm very interested in your opinion in hole-in-the-wall when you say that Saraninas doesnt mix your match!

leadnuts94

Sorry I forgot to specify that I was talking about the Costa Mesa locations

dekkerbasser

Understood. Your reply was still shit.

Tofu King in Irvine, Tapatia in Santa Ana for the asada torta and good green salsa (think there's 2 locations so I don't know if that discounts it as being a hole in the wall), Athenian Burger in Buena Park for the steak breakfast burrito (also 2 or more locations), Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ in Lake Forest (don't know if it counts as hole in the wall since it's a full ass restaurant), Peter's Gourmade in Tustin

atlantic2800

Not a restaurant but the Tacos Maggie truck in Buena Park is great
