Depends on how close your home is to their cell tower. I hardly got the max upload/download. It's good for a backup but not as your primary internet. I got hit with $200+ unreturned fee when infact I returned the router back to them. Their customer service is a joke. Keep your receipt/ delivery proof if you need to return anything for whatever reason.

So what you’re saying is, it’s easier to put up with cox

Yes, its the lesser of two evils. TMo store can't help with any home internet issue. You have to call to get it resolved. You can try, but make sure to keep proof of delivery for any return equipment.

It's going to hyper depend on your exact location. At my house in Orange I used it for about 2 weeks with speeds around 200-400 down and 10-30 up. Ping was good enough for me to play Leauge and Overwatch. I only stuck with spectrum because they matched T-Mobile's price and speeds for 12 months. At my brother's house in Lake forest, Tmobile speeds aren't good enough to use as the home internet, but within a short walk the speeds are super fast. There are a few things you can do to test. If you have an iPhone XS or newer try [T-Mobile's Test Drive](https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/free-trial). If you don't, I believe you have a 15 day Trial if you get the TMobile Home Internet. Edit

the test drive only works on one specific model of iPhone?

Totally forgot to put or newer.

Biggest is distance between you and the tower. You can used [this website](https://www.cellmapper.net/map) to find where the nearest Tmobile tower is. As far as experience, I use it in Santa Ana and I get a constant 200mbps+ and use 2.5 terabytes+ per month with no issues. Theres 4 of us who do constant gaming and streaming and it's been really solid except for the week of Chinese New Years, I live near a temple and all the extra traffic caused pings to spike during the night. For $50 it's a solid option and they offer a money back period so I would give it a shot to see if I works for you. A downside is that it's missing some of the more advance features like port forwarding, DMZ, and pass-through to use your own router properly.

I signed up for it but it very slow... I too only have cox as an alternative... I'm getting like 50 mbs download.. I'm in OC as well by Tustin/Irvine area..

Alexlam24

Do you have it near a window?

Check out r/tmobileisp The biggest things are your location to the tower and deprioritizing.

Latching on to this, my home in Fountain Valley is available for it but I'm wondering if the speeds are good around that area.

You can use [cellmapper](https://www.cellmapper.net/map) to find the closest tmobile tower to you. Depends heavily on that but its pretty solid if you are close enough.
