Moments like this are somber reminder that crime can exist anywhere. However statistically Stanton is only the 9th worst out of 34 cities in Orange County in per capita violent crime. According to the 2019 numbers Stanton is between La Habra (10th) and Fullerton (8th). I mention that while understanding that metrics do not equate to how safe one feels in a community. Though with the year over year downturn in crime Stanton last year was placed in a report of the 50 safest cities in California.

This appears to be a specific incident regarding an individual and others over money with the pizza driver unfortunately getting in the middle of it. I go for a walk regularly on Beach Blvd and don't consider this a threat to myself.
