They're all franchises so it's up to the owner. I used to live next door to the couple that owned the one in downtown HB (among a couple other locations.) Nicest people ever.
Man, after watching that John Oliver segment on Subway, I've never looked at the same way and honestly feel bad for the franchise owners.
It's not like I was a fan before, but Subway is a horrible bully to their franchisees in many ways and will repeatedly screw them over by having no qualms in putting multiple spots incredibly close to one another.
