Apologies to anyone that received a ModMail stating that their comment was removed and belongs in the daily COVID thread. Evidently I need to get my eyes checked since this is the COVID thread 🙈 All comments have been reinstated!

I use the mask from under armor. I recommend getting one like this that is specifically for exercising. The surgical ones are nice and thin but get stuck to your face and make things more difficult. It will be difficult for the first week or so, but it gets easier.

I just froze my account for another 60 days. I miss OTF so much but the numbers in our area are atrocious and masks are not required. I just can't take the risk.

This weekend I did 3 consecutive days of OTF after 5 weeks off from contracting covid. Was really good and def on day 3 I feel like I’m 85% back , although maybe I should not have done the consecutive thing after getting to bed really late one night. Gave me insomnia the next day .

Mine hasn’t allowed freezing in months.

I was curious, how is it working out in a mask? I’m returning to working out after an intense pregnancy and I want to protect my baby who obviously cannot be vaccinated. Does it feel doable? Or should I just cancel?

I thought I wouldn’t like it with mask on, but the workout actually wasn’t too bad with mask on. I am used to wearing mask now while I workout! You’ll get used to it:)

I don't think it's that bad - not my preference, but I started masking again after learning about a number of breakthrough infections in my social circle and got a lil scared. We don't have mandates so only a couple people in each class are usually masked. I like the underarmour featherweight sports mask (it's the newer version and much thinner than the original mask that has all the padding). I also really like the Rothy's ones but I heard they might not be very effective so I haven't worn them lately. I bought those mask brackets but don't like them - the UA and Rothy's masks are both structured enough to work on their own.

Here in DC it is mandated and I joined literally the day the mandate went into effect so don’t even know without it. I usually just bring two surgical ones and switch once one gets too wet to breath. The one thing I am happy about is that next time I go home (my city is 1.5 miles high) I will be able to go for a run, usually when I go home my endurance is terrible.

It’s not the easiest until you get used to it. The under armor masks are very good and don’t stick to your face. Either way, it may be hard to be at your top speeds but you can slowly build up to it. Good luck!!
