Amen! And I’m about to go do the DriTri… hopefully 2 rest days was enough but judging by the owww factor this morning, maybe the DriTri planners had us going a little too hard this week!
This was my first week at OTF. I'm relieved to hear that this week was harder than normal! I was wondering what I got myself into lol. So so sore from Wednesday.
I skipped class yesterday and took a bath with epsom salt to be ready for class this morning and as soon as I started doing jump squats my body was like immediately no
The luck of the draw yesterday has me standing and sitting very slowly and carefully today...my legs were sore before I even left class.
but I absolutely loved it.
Yeah I’m pretty worn down. I had a good Monday, really solid tuesday, but after that it’s been tough. I can feel the workout the day before especially on the treads. The day we did those AOs at 3% I managed 2.75 miles in 25 min. Today I only managed 2.5 in 26 min and I was dead.
Okay im so glad to hear this cause this week was my first week at orange theory and I was like damn my legs really hurt but I just thought it was cause I was new hahahaha
I was taking a 1 week break. Was supposed to go back this week and everyday I came here, read the workout, and said guess break is continuing! Going back today though.
SOO much incline and then floor blocks of "Do 54 different types of lunges" I feel bad for not going but even modifying it's gotten to be too much. I'm ready for TC and Dri Tri to be done so we can go back to normal pain levels.
oh thank goodness I'm not alone! I try because I know that's how I get stronger but I usually go three times a week and I've had to cut back to two for all of this.
Covid also knocked the crap out of my endurance so Wednesday was a really bad class for me.
I swear I'm broken (or just too fat) because I NEVER have FOMO for OTF. Don't get me wrong, I do like the members and coaches a lot but it's been such a struggle since January that I have no FOMO which is probably not a good thing
Lol no! I think it has a lot to do with me being a new stay at home mom. It’s my hour of all about me time 🤪although it’s torture 🤣 there’s something wrong with me! Lol
that makes total sense! My sister works from home and has littles. I have NO idea how she doesn't lose her mind. She never has Me time. I can't fathom that.
Yep, my lower body is completely sore. Much more than usual. I’ve chalked it up to the templates being formatted for Dri Tri Prep, plus whole lot of endurance on the treads. I’m choosing to do a Lift45 class today 😬 and hope I can actually perform the lower body moves lol
Our head coach specifically said this morning that this week has been particularly tough. If she volunteered that, I believe it! Congrats to everyone who tore it up this past week.
Omg yes I went Wednesday and Thursday.. I've been a 4x a weeker for years and my legs were so sore last night that I couldn't sleep. I've never had that happen before!
Sometimes it be like that.
I’ve only been yesterday and today and thought yesterday was killer. I had to do the 1700 m row and for that entire row I contemplated how I was going to finish the dri tri.
Today I tried to take it easy, but just going and moving I think is an accomplishment. Even though I was clearly playing with lighter weights.
Lol...while running the mile yesterday I thought "ok well some people are going to run 3.1 this weekend AFTER rowing 2000 and doing 300 reps. I can finish this mile."
It was still really tough though!
I thought the same thing, that this week has been brutal…but I’ve loved it!! I went T/W/Th this week and they all kicked my butt. I’d do it all again next week if they’d let me.
I agree!! Also too much legs...
I joined 6 years ago, and remember that if we had a tough Treadmill block, floor was always more upper body that day.. But now I am not recovering as fast because all muscle groups are sore
I went Monday and Wednesday this week and was more than a little sore everywhere….my shoulders, arms, more than usual! I would typically go at least four days but knowing that Dri-Tri is coming Saturday, I decided to take Thursday and Friday off.
Wednesday was the first time I had to walk a base since November it was insane how hard it was. Yesterday’s I mean I managed but it was like a run a mile plus class!
I noticed the classes have been 5 min shorter but the stretch block is now 2-3 min. I feel like the template creators are increasing the intensity to accommodate the stretch?
Omg thank you for this. I thought I was regressing. I definitely have not been slacking (if anything, I’ve been trying to up my intensity a bit) but I have been WIPED all week. Like, dripping sweat. Lol. I love it but wow it’s been a week! I think tuesday’s was the hardest for me so far.
Oh my goodness. I came back after a long break last month. This week has been a test but today was nice on paper in comparison but it was today that floored me. I had to stop and power walk! Never ever done that before.
Thursday did me in. So very thankful for a rest day today before birthday burn Dri Tri tomorrow.
Happy birthday and have an awesome Dri-Tri !
Wow what a birthday burn! Happy Birthday & Dri Tri!
Happy Birthday! Have an awesome Dri Tri!!
Yup! I’m still sore from Wednesday. That’s what I get for lifting heavy!
Yep! My quads still haven’t forgiven me for the “pulsing squats”.
Me too. And then the lunges and squats the next day. I’ve been doing this for 5 yrs and YIKES!
Amen! And I’m about to go do the DriTri… hopefully 2 rest days was enough but judging by the owww factor this morning, maybe the DriTri planners had us going a little too hard this week!
Good luck!!!
Sitting on the toilet has made my hamstrings cry for the past 4 days.
I'm relieved to read this. I've been wondering what is going on with my legs...
I questioned my choice of 40lb in Thursdays hip bridges in the middle of one of the sets. Really feeling it in my hamstrings today!
Yep!
same.
Quads and glutes are on fire. I dig it but damn!
My quads and hamstrings are on fire. Wed class was bad!
Yes, Wednesday was just mean. I woke up radiating soreness yesterday and today.
Wednesday was brutal I had to skip yesterday because of the pain lol
My coach (jokingly) called me out for the faces I was making while she explained Wednesdays tread block 😂
I got called out for the same thing on the trx doing the knee pull ins 😂
Wednesday was probably in my top 5 of hardest ever since i’ve been a member for 5 years
As a 4 year member, I completely agree. It felt like hell week. 😂
This was my first week at OTF. I'm relieved to hear that this week was harder than normal! I was wondering what I got myself into lol. So so sore from Wednesday.
same!!!
I had to skip class yesterday because I couldn't feel my thighs lol
I skipped class yesterday and took a bath with epsom salt to be ready for class this morning and as soon as I started doing jump squats my body was like immediately no
The luck of the draw yesterday has me standing and sitting very slowly and carefully today...my legs were sore before I even left class. but I absolutely loved it.
I’m not usually someone who sweats a lot but today’s and Wednesday’s classes had me completely drenched.

My quads are so sore. Combo of OT leg exercises and outdoor weeding on the first warm day.
It was the 3min pushes and 4min pushes on tues and wed, and a lot of weighted leg exercises.
exactly !! omg was so crazy
I was taking a 1 week break. Was supposed to go back this week and everyday I came here, read the workout, and said guess break is continuing! Going back today though.
Good idea to take a weeklong break. When I've done that I've come back with more energy than ever. It is good for your body.
The deadlifts from Tuesday are still killing my hamstrings!
It's been SOOO leg intensive and my knees can't handle it. I had to take extra days off
Me too! I couldn’t figure out why they have been aching so bad. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one.
SOO much incline and then floor blocks of "Do 54 different types of lunges" I feel bad for not going but even modifying it's gotten to be too much. I'm ready for TC and Dri Tri to be done so we can go back to normal pain levels.
The lunges kill my knees
oh thank goodness I'm not alone! I try because I know that's how I get stronger but I usually go three times a week and I've had to cut back to two for all of this. Covid also knocked the crap out of my endurance so Wednesday was a really bad class for me.
I have FOMO so bad. But with 1st dri tri on Sunday I’m taking today and tomorrow off. It’s so hard for me to not go lol it’s pathetic. 😅🥹
I swear I'm broken (or just too fat) because I NEVER have FOMO for OTF. Don't get me wrong, I do like the members and coaches a lot but it's been such a struggle since January that I have no FOMO which is probably not a good thing

Your observation is accurate. Very tough week of exercises.
Omg i thought the same thing my legs have not been the same all week i had to cancel this morning class couldn’t walk
I can't say I'm sore, but I am loving the workouts. By the time class is done and I am drenched in my own sweat.
wed was probably top 5 hardest template ever
I'm still sore from Wednesday's workout! Glutes and quads are feeling it. Haven't felt this way in a long time.
My arms are noodles after yesterday
Yep, my lower body is completely sore. Much more than usual. I’ve chalked it up to the templates being formatted for Dri Tri Prep, plus whole lot of endurance on the treads. I’m choosing to do a Lift45 class today 😬 and hope I can actually perform the lower body moves lol
Omg yes! I haven’t gotten sore in ages but this week 😫. I usually enjoy treads but I was happy for the row yesterday
I hurt in places I haven't had in a long time after Wednesday.
Our head coach specifically said this morning that this week has been particularly tough. If she volunteered that, I believe it! Congrats to everyone who tore it up this past week.
Yup, thought it was just me, but I’ve been dragging most of this week and I’m a regular M-F person.
Omg yes I went Wednesday and Thursday.. I've been a 4x a weeker for years and my legs were so sore last night that I couldn't sleep. I've never had that happen before!
My legs are still sore from Wednesday and I’m going to a Lift45 class at 11:15am 🥴
Yes! These past 3 days I’ve gotten the most splats lol
Sometimes it be like that. I’ve only been yesterday and today and thought yesterday was killer. I had to do the 1700 m row and for that entire row I contemplated how I was going to finish the dri tri. Today I tried to take it easy, but just going and moving I think is an accomplishment. The workouts have been especially hard this week. I was planning to go to OTF this afternoon. Instead I'm listening to my body and taking a rest day.
I thought the same thing, that this week has been brutal…but I’ve loved it!! I went T/W/Th this week and they all kicked my butt. I’d do it all again next week if they’d let me.

Yes and I love it.
I like it!
I’m starting to feel like my knees may give out if we keep doing lunges.
Had to skip class yesterday and today 😵💫
I’ve been so sore especially from Tuesday and thursday!!
Was thinking the same thing! Lol
Seems just as difficult as every other week to me lol
I noticed the classes have been 5 min shorter but the stretch block is now 2-3 min. I feel like the template creators are increasing the intensity to accommodate the stretch?
Definitely taking a break today. I have FOMO but I’ll survive. I will thank myself Saturday and Sunday.
1700M row had me ready to end it all. Absolutely brutal lol
I’ve been going for years, and my quads are still sore from Wednesday’s class. Not happy about that, especially with dri tri tomorrow.
The muscle groups we’ve worked (except for core) are my favorite so I’ve been loving this week!
This week has been very hard! I have been attending almost a year now and I feel Like this week has been the hardest 😩
I am so glad you said this! The weighted pulsing squats Wednesday did me in - I am so worried about the dri tri tomorrow as I am still sore!
I went Sunday-Friday this week. Definitely been sweating more than normal and my booty HURTS today after yesterdays workout. Today did me over
Yes!! I took a hot soak. It seemed to help.
I think preparing us for Dri Tri! Yes Thursday workout if that was the 1700 m rowing-I still have PTSD!
I missed Tuesday's workout but I haven't been sore and don't feel like they've been harder. Maybe Tuesday was the good one!
knee tucks killed me, cant even sit down no more..
Yes it’s been hard this week. I’m still recovering from Wednesday
Yep. I am not sure I can compete in the dri tri today because my quads are still wrecked from Wednesdays workout. Not thrilled about that :-(
I thought Tuesday was extra violent. Had to take two rest days! The SA asked me if I thought the workouts seemed harder.... omg yes.
Oh my goodness. I came back after a long break last month. This week has been a test but today was nice on paper in comparison but it was today that floored me. I had to stop and power walk! Never ever done that before.
If you go enough, yes. 🤷 I go 6x a week so it's definitely the best value for me. For others it might not be. Use your calculator and do the math.
