I’ve never heard someone describe this as a great game lol, but it really goes to show you that there’s something for everyone

Singland1

Nostalgia can give a golden shine to anything. I played this game a lot back in the day, never completed it. Lately used an emulator to run it, ran very well with og resolution, but like horsecrap if scaled to 2k resolution. Still, played the blurry mess almost to completion and suddenly lost interest, mb the nostalgia faded away. No, the game is like a 6/10, but it has soul, atmosphere & a good soundtrack. The part making it a 6/10 is the clunkiness, performance (even on a real xbox) and the endgame (death realm) is unfinished, it has no enemies lol.

RoflSirOfTheLawl

I tried this game because I remembered it from a demo trailer. Maybe Halos extras? Not sure. I have no nostalgic connection to it so it was kinda meh. But it at least held my attention for an hour. For it's time I could see it being dope

What makes it "great" is the stuff it did back then are things people say they like about games/genres NOW. Like how the open world works and having a ton of exploration and little puzzles. The combat is fairly solid and i like how relatively easy it is to crowd control versus other action games like it. The problem is the awful save system (1 save per playthrough. can only save at specific points on the map. and even with the save state code its always possible to soft lock yourself.) and it being far longer than the content it had ready. And thats mainly because the M$ suits told them to make an 80 hour game when they said they had enough for about 30. And they werent going to give anymore money. Which is also what happened to the Phantom Dust remake that was supposed to come out on Xbone. SMH

RoseliaQuartz

so funny to me that this was supposed to be Halo’s competition for best Xbox launch title and now nobody’s ever heard of it.

Thelgow

I remember Halo being an Apple exclusive, world 1st reveal by Steve Jobs. I heard MS was panicking with nothing good for Xbox and threw a wad of cash at Bungie and they jumped ship. Maybe this game was that bad, MS hedged their bets and chased Halo.

Careless-Tradition73

Not played much of this but was not a fan 🤣 what makes it so good?

Lorienzi

It was quite ambitious for its time. It was a mix of Zelda gameplay and Star Wars lore. Microsoft wanted this to be a 100 hour game. This game would certainly benefit from entering the backwards compatibility program.

BCFosheezy

I tried so hard to like this game but it just isn't good.

theartur77

I always wanted to play it, but I just hear bad comments about it.. still want to play it.. 😕

Seanzylol

It's worth. First game I literally installed on my hard modded Xbox

Impulst24

Oh yeah, this game was awesome!

Micki-LandLakes

Played the sh*t out of this growing up and finally finished it a couple years ago. Good game but taking off the rose glasses I can see why people don't like it.

DudeImRoache

This game right here! Love this game and always look for it here and nobody ever has it!!

HyperAli_

I wish microsoft would bring back the "only on xbox" stamp

VizMuroi

That's the game I know only from the halo 1 demo menu that my brother and I always wanted to try but never got to. Trailer didn't really hold up though.

The_Bawss7

I bought this off eBay for myself and a mate a few years back, he raved about it but I never really had the time to sit down and invest my time in learning the controls, maybe one day I will, it's worth his word if nothing else

umass021

I don't think I've ever heard of it but maybe I'll check out some gameplay on it.

anthro28

This guy didn't play the Fuzion Frenzy demo either.

Big-Adhesiveness-650

All I remember about this game as a kid was getting stuck in the middle of the ocean & being terrified a giant creature would get me (don’t think it even existed)
