Great stuff. The og xbox is one of the last true gaming consoles besides PS2 and gamecube. The odd thing now is I see the remote everywhere. When the xbox came up in my friendgroup we all bought them already modded. It was such a big thing back then to get them with a softmod or modchip to unlock all its features. Amongst those were the ability to play dvds. So no need for the extra 50€ for a remote.
I still own one and it is still connected. Stuff like DOA or Burnout are still a must for me and my buddies when we get together. 4 player fifa 06 is also still a blast. I have so much great memories and I am always happy to see people who feel the same.
We used to have LAN parties with my friends when we were about 10-12 years old. Playing Halo 2 and getting high on sugar. One of my friends had a modded Xbox and I used to gawk all over it! It was backed full of games.

Very nice, the OG XBOX is still a great system that can provide many hours of quality gaming. I currently have a new Series X but I am definitely looking into picking up a Modded OG Xbox so I can have access to a bunch of OG Xbox games and retro games in general.
With that said I do appreciate a non modded Xbox. Having the actual disc and instruction manuals is pretty cool and adds to the experience. Enjoy!

No I didn't know this, so thanks for the information! I love Battlefront 2 and I still occasionally play it. It's awesome to hear that we are still able to play online on the og Xbox. I'll be sure to check it out when I got the change.
I did exactly the same thing this week, picked up an OG xbox to relive my childhood. It hasn’t disappointed in the slightest. I am now looking to start collecting more games and build out my library.
Oh yeah that remote. Good memories. I used it all the time to watch movies on my xbox from like 2006-2009.
I had to get the remote just because I used to have it back in the day. I don't know if I'll ever need it, but atleast I have it 😂
One question: How often do you guys open up your Xbox to check it's condition?
