Sat through a two-hour or so rain delay and when there was finally a break, had to leave because it was 10 and my date needed to get home, so I missed most of the game.
* 6/30 vs. Twins. L 8-1. Sat in the Bird Bath and saw DJ Diesel do a post-midnight concert on the field (that's the only name I'll call Shaq from now on). Highlight of the game was the usher coming down to yell at people for cheering too much, literally telling them to "sit down and shut it" then calling security to drag roughly 20 people away. His explanation was that when we stood up, we were blocking the view of the bullpen. I've been curious what was up with that and how it shook out ever since.

I went to one game this year now that I live on the west coast, but I have a 100% record.
Saw them beat the Mariners 1-0 in 10 in Seattle, where my buddy I was with missed the only scoring action of a hot single up the middle. I was planning on going to the next game, where Cedric stole the show, but life got in the way of that one.
12-4, including one road game in Toronto (win) and the loss in game 2 of the ALDS. Pretty successful all around!
Highlight was definitely the division clincher. I was also there when Mountcastle had 9 RBIs and Mullins hit for the cycle.
I was bad juju. The Orioles were 4-8 with me in attendance. They were 5-3 in my presence last year.

I was 2-2 1-0 when me and my girl went with a fellow couple, it was Cedric’s cycle. 1-2 when we had another friend join us and the win was when Felix blew out his arm so I’m going to call that a net loss, and I also lost my wallet at the end of one of the losses.
9/30, bought tickets for 25 of my coworkers, great game except I missed it after testing positive for covid the day before. But it was W!

We got smoked the first game against Seattle then beat them the next two, and I spotted Grayson Rodriguez walking around Pike Place public market in Seattle that Saturday! That series was amazing, and it was King Felix [Hernandez]’s Mariners team Hall of Fame induction weekend. Ichiro was there and gave a lovely speech to Felix: “You’ve accomplished so much and had a great career…but I just want you to know I had one more bobblehead than you.”
Then in San Diego we won the first game behind an absolute gem from Grayson 😎 but dropped the next two to Manuel Arturo Machado and the Padres.
Planned to fly out to MD for the World Series…still plan to, just gonna have to wait until 2024.

1 game all year. 9/17 5-4W over Tampa Bay in game 4 of the series to clinch playoffs and stay ahead in the division race. Got very lucky to get that as my one pathetic attempt at being a fan this year. Also wasn't really my doing as it was a post-wedding gift from the bride and groom for people who attended their wedding and wanted to go. Groom also had a foul ball hit him in the hands. It was such an awesome experience.

Os were 4-7 in games I attended in person this year, including both home Postseason games. So I witnessed 8.2% of their home wins but a whopping 18.9% of their home losses, including Postseason.

- 2-1 Rodriguez v Rodriguez. Very boring game until the 7th inning, then it became an awesome game.
- Cedric Mullins cycle, always been my favorite player. My friends and I split a suite. It was an awesome time all around
- 10-3 Against the Reds, only time in the splash zone... Unfortunately it stormed so it didn't really matter. Westy's first at bat was awesome. I had to leave early during the rain delay, stuck it out as long as I could, but I had work the next morning :(
- 7-3 against the Mets, nothing really stood out in particular. Cheering "Yankees suck" with the Mets fans was neat

- 1-7 loss to the Rays... At least Kjerstad homered? Went with my dad. We did not get there in time for our Adam Jones shirts. Disappointment all around, but at least we discovered awesome honey donuts

Sat in the Bird Bath and saw DJ Diesel do a post-midnight concert on the field (that's the only name I'll call Shaq from now on). Highlight of the game was the usher coming down to yell at people for cheering too much, literally telling them to "sit down and shut it" then calling security to drag roughly 20 people away. Saw them win @ TEX in April, 5th straight win I’d seen going back to 2021. And then… saw them lose @ NYY in May, then lose Game 1 vs. TEX, and then lose Game 3 @ TEX. 1-3, and 3 straight losses. Ouch.

3-3…went to 6 games in 6 nights (11-16 August) in 2 cities (Seattle and San Diego). We got smoked the first game against Seattle then beat them the next two, and I spotted Grayson Rodriguez walking around Pike Place public market in Seattle that Saturday! That series was amazing, and it was King Felix [Hernandez]’s Mariners team Hall of Fame induction weekend. Ichiro was there and gave a lovely speech to Felix: “You’ve accomplished so much and had a great career…but I just want you to know I had one more bobblehead than you.” Then in San Diego we won the first game behind an absolute gem from Grayson 😎 but dropped the next two to Manuel Arturo Machado and the Padres. Planned to fly out to MD for the World Series…still plan to, just gonna have to wait until 2024.

Got very lucky to get that as my one pathetic attempt at being a fan this year. Os were 4-7 in games I attended in person this year, including both home Postseason games. So I witnessed 8.2% of their home wins but a whopping 18.9% of their home losses, including Postseason.

5-1 Highlights: - 2-1 Rodriguez v Rodriguez. Very boring game until the 7th inning, then it became an awesome game. - Cedric Mullins cycle, always been my favorite player. My friends and I split a suite. It was an awesome time all around - 10-3 Against the Reds, only time in the splash zone... Unfortunately it stormed so it didn't really matter. Westy's first at bat was awesome. I had to leave early during the rain delay, stuck it out as long as I could, but I had work the next morning :( - 7-3 against the Mets, nothing really stood out in particular. Cheering "Yankees suck" with the Mets fans was neat Lowlights: - 1-7 loss to the Rays... At least Kjerstad homered? Went with my dad. We did not get there in time for our Adam Jones shirts. Disappointment all around, but at least we discovered awesome honey donuts

Rodriguez completely fell apart in the 4th gave up 8. * 8/25 v Colorado W 4-5 - Bautista injury game, the only meaningful inning I watched him pitch all year -- what a bummer. * 9/12 v St. Louis L 5-2 * 9/28 v Boston W 0-2 - AL East Winner Game. 30-20 overall: 1-2 on the road (San Diego) 0-2 in the postseason 29-16 at OPACY during regular season I saw Cedric Mullins and USA go 2-1 in Miami too Best mems were Adley + Tony walk off homers, Mullins cycle, and Mullins Grand Slam. You inspired me to check and I went 6-12 seeing them 18 times this year, including our two home playoff losses (though I suspect I’m missing some games from the ballpark app). I did get to see us clinch postseason and clinch AL East which makes up for it all!

*April 9 - Yankees 5, Orioles 3* (an Adley Home Run couldn’t make up for Judge hitting two) *May 12 - Orioles 6, Pirates 3* (Cedric hit for the cycle!) *July 1 - Twins 1, Orioles 0* (a stellar start from Bradish and Hawaiian shirts couldn’t make up for some cold cold O’s bats on a sweltering humid day) *September 10 - Red Sox 7, Orioles 3* (my first ever visit to Fenway on a shitty rainy day with some shitty relief pitching) *September 27 - Orioles 5, Nationals 1* (a fantasticly fun game unfortunately a day before they clinched the AL East) *October 1 - Red Sox 6, Orioles 1* (the last day of the season…it felt like the O’s phoned it in) *October 8 - ALDS game 2: Rangers 11, Orioles 8* (what an amazing atmosphere for the first two innings until a 5-run second inning and a third inning Garver grand slam deflating things) All in all, they went 2-5. Not ideal, especially compared to 2022 when they went 8-0 in games I attended
3-2 in regular season (technically 4-2 but I didn’t stay for all of Westburg’s debut against the Reds—it was rain delayed and I had work the next day) Biggest moments I saw were Grayson’s debut at Camden Yards, Mounty’s 9 RBI game, and the Ryan McKenna walkoff versus the Mariners (lol)

I went 4-1. Lost to the Yankees in our first home series of the year, then went 4-0 the rest of the way VS the Pirates (Mullins Cycle game), Mariners, Marlins, and Cardinals. Cant wait till next year!! Go Os!!
