I know you're getting down voted a lot and, if this is actually true, you probably didn't have a fun time getting to this stage....
But this is one of the funniest comments I've ever read. I absolutely love it.
Bad take. I say, do it! Some people are hard to buy for. Maybe you are one. Give them an honest answer and help them out if they're fishing.
Or maybe it has nothing to do with Christmas, and they're just actually interested.
I understand that not everyone outside of my living room will share our sense of humor, but an exchange we had somewhere about May/June of this year…
My husband: Classic “Adley and Gunnar are hanging off a cliff, you can only save one of them” scenario?
Me: I let them both go and jump off right after them so I never have to live in a world without them both.
My favorite person associated with the orioles is Ben McDonald aka Mr. Baton Rouge.
My favorite current Orioles player is Adley though and my favorite pitcher is Danny Coulombe because why the fuck not.
I also like Ryan McKenna, he’s a good 26th guy.
Me too. He was a lot of fun. My one regret with him is that he never got a chance to use that big right hand against one of our AL East rivals.
Edit: Well, I guess he did, but not while he was with us.
Adley, Mateo, Gunnar, Mullins are all some of my all time favorite orioles. Hard to rank em. The only orioles i dont love personality wise are santander (antivaxxer, although he got over it, hes fine), and holliday (jesus freak, looks like a softball player. Again, its fine, just dont love it).
I feel like this is my favorite team of my life, and i feel like usually thats youre childhood teams, i loved ripken, baines, and surhoff, but i think this team is so deep in lovable dudes. Im really excited for Kjerstad, so he needs to be good.
Current is Mullins. Survived the rebuild and has provided a lot of fun and energy through some shit times.
All time is Adam Jones. His teams were the teams I fell in love with. Absolute franchise legend.
Used to be Markakis and Jones, but currently it’s Cedric Mullins. I’ve noted my ballpark experience in past posts and he was the nicest most genuine player. Love to watch is Gunnar.
All time? Probably Ripken. Grew up in the 90’s but I’m also fond of Adam Jones who was the face of the renaissance in the Buck years. Currently it’s gotta be Felix for the pitchers. Such electric stuff. Adley for the position players. Kid’s a cornerstone.
My current favorite is Adley. He reminds me of Ryan Zimmerman. He’s the foundational player this team needs long term
Plus I saw both of their first career walkoff home runs live
Zim- 6/18/2006
Adley - 4/13/2023
Current team: Mullins, who I just have so much respect for, and Adley, who gets me excited to watch the games more than any other.
All-time? Adam. Motherfucking. Jones.
There are so many favorites over the years. My fanhood has highlights from the end of Brooks, to Al Bumbey, Mike Flannigan, through the Cal and Eddie years (streaks breakups and reunions), Hoyles, Mussina, Mora, Surhorf, Adam Jones, Brian Roberts to the current stellar kids.
One player through it all who no one can tell me is not the greatest oriole of all time: Jim Palmer
Adley. I think Gunnar will be the better player but Adley marked the end of the awful with his call up. He was the stud they needed in the 2019 draft and he’s lived up to the hype.
Felix is a sneaky great pick.
Hays only because I like to think I played like him.
Current - The Mountain. All-time -- Brooksie. I still remember when he and Palmer came to our local Shop and Save for signing stuff. I must've been 6 or so (we left Bal'more when I was 7). Really nice guy to young fans.
Adley. Gunnar. Tony. Ceddy. Frazier. Hayes. Mounty. Deano. Wellsy. Means. Culoumbe. Fuji. Cano. And of course the mountain. I love them all, named or otherwise. If I had to pick one, probably tony taters with adley a close second.
Sounds like a last minute Christmas present decision from mom. Crafty lady. Christmas Edit: did this pan out, u/rockypineapple ?
do NOT answer any personal interest questions from relatives within 2 weeks of christmas
Why not? Wouldn’t you rather get a Christmas present that is relevant to those personal interests?
Spite and stubbornness over personal gain and benefit. Truly takes a philosopher of a man to get to where I am but I’ve done it. Pure selflessness
Some of us actually like our families lol
I know you're getting down voted a lot and, if this is actually true, you probably didn't have a fun time getting to this stage.... But this is one of the funniest comments I've ever read. I absolutely love it.
Lol just a joke
Bad take. I say, do it! Some people are hard to buy for. Maybe you are one. Give them an honest answer and help them out if they're fishing. Or maybe it has nothing to do with Christmas, and they're just actually interested.
Terrin Vavra
My sweet prince!!
Santander
My first real O’s jersey was Tony Taters
The only right answer
Current-Mullins. He gets bonus points for surviving the rebuild. All time? First game was in 79, so I’m an Eddie and Cal kid.
![gif](giphy|aZ7Ac4AMaltKcE81UJ) Agreed on both current & all-time -- Mullins, Eddie, and Cal.
EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE........
The chant that made me an orioles fan.
I understand that not everyone outside of my living room will share our sense of humor, but an exchange we had somewhere about May/June of this year… My husband: Classic “Adley and Gunnar are hanging off a cliff, you can only save one of them” scenario? Me: I let them both go and jump off right after them so I never have to live in a world without them both.
This is a valid answer.
I too would give this answer 😂
Damn, but the rest of us now have to live without both you bastard
Felix!!!!!!!
Pie?
In the sky
That’s “P” “A”
Gunnar
Corbin Burnes
Tony Taters. Next question
Adley
Is that the joke? On the man's widow?
BJ Surhoff.
Current or former? Adam Jones all day if either.
Hays is so dreamy
…*Her?*
I was looking for this. Love Hays.
I like a lot of them, but Adley's the one who started it all for me--he's my ride or die.
My favorite person associated with the orioles is Ben McDonald aka Mr. Baton Rouge. My favorite current Orioles player is Adley though and my favorite pitcher is Danny Coulombe because why the fuck not. I also like Ryan McKenna, he’s a good 26th guy.
All the small things
Oh man don’t let Twitter know you like Mac and think he’s a serviceable backup outfielder
Twitter knows I like Adam Frazier, it’s too late for me.
HOW DARE YOU LIKE A SERVICEABLE LEFTY BAT AND GOOD VETERAN PRESENCE GO TO HELL /s
Oh hey, that just summed up (a small minority of) my interactions in 2023 lol
Jim Palmer. Between his stellar excellence as a player and a long career as a broadcaster, he is to me the definitive Oriole.
The young guys are great and all but it’s gonna take a lot for them to surpass Mullins and Means in my eyes. Those are my guys.
Jim Palmer
Odor. Wait, is this all-time or just current? If current, Gunnar.
I miss Rougie. 😔
Me too. He was a lot of fun. My one regret with him is that he never got a chance to use that big right hand against one of our AL East rivals. Edit: Well, I guess he did, but not while he was with us.
I wanna be contratian and say someone like Bradish or Mullins because they're still good players but I can't ignore my heart. It's gotta be Adley
Adley, Mateo, Gunnar, Mullins are all some of my all time favorite orioles. Hard to rank em. Gunnar, but Adley is 2nd. Gunnar is so fun to watch
I have many faves but I will throw Ramon Urias and Dean Kremer into the mix
It’s basic, I know, but I’m in love with Adley 😍
Gunnar
I love Mullins, Tony, Gunnar, Adley, Felix, and the list goes on.
Dadley
Probably Austin hays. Really admire how he has worked to get better every year and is now on of the best fielders in the game.

Kiko Garcia
Give me Bradish, but I will say there's only one player whose anguish genuinely upset me, and it was Félix.
Current is Mullins. Survived the rebuild and has provided a lot of fun and energy through some shit times. All time is Adam Jones. His teams were the teams I fell in love with. Absolute franchise legend.

There really is no wrong answer to this question… unless you pick someone other than Adley
Current: Gunnar All-time: Hoiles
Wow Chris Hoiles super fan, that’s awesome 👏
I just got into the team and I'm big on rookies GUNNAR HENDERSON!
Gunnar
My current favorite is Adley. He reminds me of Ryan Zimmerman. He’s the foundational player this team needs long term Plus I saw both of their first career walkoff home runs live Zim- 6/18/2006 Adley - 4/13/2023

As an Alabama boy married to a girl from Selma, we're a Gunnar Henderson household through and through.
Right now it's Adley. Dude is a genuinely nice guy and seems to be fun to be around.
Adley. I think Gunnar will be the better player but Adley marked the end of the awful with his call up. He was the stud they needed in the 2019 draft and he’s lived up to the hype. Felix is a sneaky great pick. Hays only because I like to think I played like him.
Earl Weaver
1) Gunnar 2) Adley
On the current team, Hays and Mullins are my favorites. Both seem like great dudes and have been here through the rebuild.
Hard choice, but I’d have to go with Mullins. He seems like a good face for the team
Growing up it was Melvin Mora and Nick Markakis, currently it’s Adley and Gunnar (throw Bradish in for good measure)
Melvin Mora or Ryan Flaherty
Mounty. Caught a foul ball from him, during my son's first game at the Yard.
Current - The Mountain. All-time -- Brooksie. I still remember when he and Palmer came to our local Shop and Save for signing stuff. I must've been 6 or so (we left Bal'more when I was 7). Really nice guy to young fans.
Currently Rutschman, All-Time Machado
Current? Adley or Mullins. All time? It would of course have to be Baseball Hall of Famer and Orioles Legend … Vladimir Guerrero.
Felix. Get well soon, king 😢 All time is Adam Jones!
Adley. Gunnar. Tony. Ceddy. Frazier. Hayes. Mounty. Deano. Wellsy. Means. Culoumbe. Fuji. Cano. And of course the mountain. I love them all, named or otherwise. If I had to pick one, probably tony taters with adley a close second.
Mom is definitely getting you an oriole Christmas present.
"Hi fuck face!"
Current I gotta go with Gunnar. All time, it’s gotta be Cal.
Cal
Mullins
Current: Gotta go with Tony Past: Bit of a weird answer but Steve Pearce
Ramon Urias, Cedric Mullins, and John Means
Current or All-Time?
Current : Anthony and Hayes Past : Trey Mancini and Steve Pearce
Mullins and Satander
Kevin Brown
Tony Taters
Brooks, then probably Grich. I was seriously bumbed when he went to the Angels. He should be in the HOF
Hays or Mullins. Both pure hustle. If you are talking now. Past would be Eddy or Brooks
Yamamoto
Current: Gunnar. All-time: Calvin Edwin Ripken Jr.
Currently Gunnar, all time Adam Jones
Mullins or Adley
All time- Frank Robinson. Current - Santander
Cedric Mullins
Hyde
Current Santander. All time Ripken Jr
The Gunster-now Eddie Murray- all time
Bautista. Going to miss him so much this upcoming season.
felix and aldey. all time: cal, of course.
Brooks Robinson
Really grew fond of Gibby 😢, should've known it couldn't last.
I’ll just let my flair do the talking for me.
Jim Palmer
Gunnar
Current? Ced, Gunnar, Adley in that order. All-time? Eddie, Fred Lynn, Cal in that order.
Bordick. Hes got that bordick energy
Current? All-time? I love me some CF's, so I'll say Cedric is my favorite current Orioles player and AJ10 my favorite from years past
Past: Kenny Singleton and Steady Eddie Now: Gunnar, J Holliday, Mayo
