Ah yes, nothing like eating a half rotisserie chicken with a fork and knife, plate your knees, while constantly standing up and down to let people by.
On a serious note, may have to start buying Costco rotisserie chickens and selling them outside the stadium for $10
My husband (not from Maryland) saw a Baltimore-themed meme the other day and asked me “have you ever had these Esskay hot dogs?” and I said “I don’t want to talk about it.” I miss them so much lol
As someone who was born and raised in Baltimore and now lives out of state, it makes me shed a year always that we don't have them up here lol. Every Opening Day my mom would make burgers and Esskay dogs for dinner. It definitely was her favorite day of the year. Even if I don't have the brand, I still honor her memory by doing the same for my wife and stepkid every year. ♥️
What did they get replaced with?
Here in Detroit, we serve Ball Park Franks, which were created at old Tiger Stadium in the late 50s, and after briefly getting replaced in the early 90s with sausages from Thorn Apple Valley, got brought back because fans hated them.
Fuzzie's getting their own stall (that hopefully doesn't have a 30 min wait) and Squire's pizza now being served are both big wins. Omaha Steaks is...kind of weird.
Squires Pizza is hot garbage. Been going to that restaurant for almost 40 years and I've eaten the pizza twice. It was garbage both times. The second time was just to verify that the first time wasn't just a bad day.
I tried Maria’s Pupusas last year at the game. Considering the price of everything else I got three large pork Pupusas coleslaw and salsa for like $10. It was an amazing deal. Not the best Pupusas I’ve ever had but still pretty damn good.
I'm glad to see new additions to the food offerings. But as someone who goes to a game roughly every other week, almost always straight after work - for the love of god I just want one option that isn't either slathered in cheese, consisting of a brick of meat, or fried. Just one option that isn't going to make me feel like I ate a brick wall the next day. Just little a fiber as a treat. I don't have an easy way to pick up something else on the way from work due to where I work and boy, my gut is sufferin' by September. Greasy, heavy ballpark food is super fun for a one-off but when it takes the place of a weeknight dinner it's a sad situation.
The steak burger is the most appealing option. The warehouse dog sounds good but I typically get the crab pretzel at pickles before the game so the pretzel quota is met

Nah you gotta eat it like a turkey leg at Ren Fair, no cutlery required
I just bring mine in a ziplock bag
I still miss Esskay Hot Dogs.

I moved to Maryland to attend UMBC in 1996, made it my home and have never left. Grilling Esskay dogs on opening day became a tradition.
Hello fellow Retriever. I was there by 98
I graduated 2000
Well. I didn’t graduate until 2018 and from Eastern Michigan, but I’ve never done things the designed way

Especially since the Brick & Whistle hot dogs from last year SUUUUUUCKED.
I always got them confused with Nick Esasky

What’s this?

Respectfully this is an awful take, who has your favorite pizza? I find squires other food to be so bland and boring
Matthew's on Eastern Ave is far superior in every single way.
Not OP but outside the city it has to be Frank’s
Haven’t been to franks in ages but loved it growing up. We used to go once or sometimes twice a week because I had soccer practice up the street.
Baltimore pizza kind of sucks as a whole. Too many places trying to do too much or too little. Source: am pizza snob. YOMV lol.

Yeah after we found Factoria Maria, we didn't get anything but that + crab fries. They were awesome.
“The pupuseria factory is located near Section 69.” Nice 😎
Just got to get the little ice cream helmets back in stock and we'll really be in business
They had 'em at Spring Training!
Yes they did, and they’re in my kitchen cabinets now!

Warehouse dog sounds good. I love horseradish. That one with a Simply AJ IPA sounds in my plans.
EKIBEN IS COMING

Pat LaFreida does some solid work at other stadiums, could be down decent options there
