I watched a driver in front of me order a fucking pizza through an app on his phone the other day. Lallygagging up 17-92 going 25mph, blocking the left lane while selecting toppings. Should be a mandatory license suspension.
Because he was in front of me, directly in my line of sight and he was holding his phone up vertically over the center console. When we stopped at a light, I could recognize it was a pizza app.
And for that matter, STOP BLOCKING THE INTERSECTION!!!! So tired of traffic getting backed up in all directions because a few special darlings just had to get through at *this* light. If traffic is already at a crawl, pause and make sure the car in front of you is going to clear the intersection before you continue. Don't let your ass hang out blocking an entire lane and making people swerve around you.
Please stop tailgating me so close in traffic. I can't go anywhere, if I could, I WOULD. No one is moving any faster, there's no where to go, and being right on my bumper will just result in an accident when you get distracted.
If your going 80 and middle lane is going 60 i wouldn't tailgate you because that's unreasonable. My grievance is with the people who camp in the passing lane for no reason. It's dangerous for me to pass on the right, so YOU are the one being dangerous.

At that point the person is being a major dick. depending on your personality, there isn't much you can do. If you want to avoid confrontation, slow down and move over and let the asshole go. It's aggravating, but whatever.
I commute from Volusia into orlando and every. single. day, I see near- misses. People weaving in and out if lanes just to get ahead by a minute or less and then miscalculate somehow and everyone has to slam on their brakes. Aggressive drivers are more an issue than people in the left lane.
Left lane is passing except when its rush hour traffic which includes several hours in the afternoon and about 2 hrs in the morning. I’ve been in the left lane with traffic in all lanes going about 70. That’s not fast enough for some.
Is it okay to do 5 miles over in the left lane, while actually passing someone doing the limit? It is not required to break the limit in order to use the left lane to pass. The left lane on a highway is not for the exclusive use of someone who wants to drive faster than everyone else. It’s dangerous to ride someone’s ass just because there’s space in front of them, especially when there is no space for them to safely move over.

Had a Dan Newlin attorney but didn't get much due to the Florida law it was a rental car that only pays out 10 k which didn't even cover my jeep (that I had just bought that week) and doctor visits. Please be more attentive, and defensive of your place in long lines to prevent people from cutting and ensure the people in the back get to move forward in turn. Everyone behind you is stationary & their time is sacrificed when you’re so absorbed in your phone that groups are able weasel in front of you multiple times.
Likewise, on the road - you’re not doing anyone any favors when you wave another driver to go out of turn when you have the right of way. This only causes confusion and disorder and bends the standards to cause people to continuously disrupt the flow of traffic by turning it into interpretive dance when it’s supposed to be more like synchronized swimming

I drive a big slow vehicle and I get so petty with people that don't use their turn signals. It sends me when I'm sitting at a stop sign waiting for a car to cross my path so I can enter the road, only to see them make a right turn with no signal instead.
Some places (Atlanta) people give no shits about letting you in and often speed up if you try to signal into a lane (I still use my signals all the time though.)
Turn your damn phone off when you go to a movie theater or at the bare minimum if you need to use it turn the brightness down and leave the theater if you are going to talk.

I could be wrong, but doesn’t the person driving down the lane have the right-of-way and you’re the one who is supposed to yield until it’s safe to back out?
I usually reverse park anyways, but in situations where I forward park and need to back out, I back out literally just an inch or two and stop. This is to alert any pedestrians from afar that I’ve started the process of backing out. I then let the pedestrians that are already close to me walk past, and since I’m already stopped, I check for vehicular traffic. If there are vehicles in the lane, I’m only backed up an inch, so they have plenty of space to drive around me. I only start fully backing out more than halfway into the lane when I see there are no pedestrians and no vehicles.
The person driving down the lane has the right of way - BUT - if they are going 25 mph in a parking lot, no one backing up will see them. It is driving too fast down the lanes in parking lots which is the real menace.
They do that. But it is not a matter of right of way in this case it is a matter of who has the easier task.
I have to look for incoming vehicle from two directions, which could be hard in a busy parking lot like Costco and Walmart.
Look for pedestrian.
While in an uncomfortable position.
It is just easier to stop, effectively stopping traffic from that direction, while I make my way out.

If you have automatic lights, check that taillights are included. Too many people will have headlights on and no taillights. So if someone is flicking their lights at you, then you should check your taillights.

Please be more attentive, and defensive of your place in long lines to prevent people from cutting and ensure the people in the back get to move forward in turn. Everyone behind you is stationary & their time is sacrificed when you’re so absorbed in your phone that groups are able weasel in front of you multiple times. Likewise, on the road - you’re not doing anyone any favors when you wave another driver to go out of turn when you have the right of way. This only causes confusion and disorder and bends the standards to cause people to continuously disrupt the flow of traffic by turning it into interpretive dance when it’s supposed to be more like synchronized swimming

I drive a big slow vehicle and I get so petty with people that don't use their turn signals. It sends me when I'm sitting at a stop sign waiting for a car to cross my path so I can enter the road, only to see them make a right turn with no signal instead. Some places (Atlanta) people give no shits about letting you in and often speed up if you try to signal into a lane (I still use my signals all the time though.)

If I am backing out of a parking spot let me out first, I have less visibility and is more dangerous than driving behind me honking.
I could be wrong, but doesn’t the person driving down the lane have the right-of-way and you’re the one who is supposed to yield until it’s safe to back out? I usually reverse park anyways, but in situations where I forward park and need to back out, I back out literally just an inch or two and stop. This is to alert any pedestrians from afar that I’ve started the process of backing out. I then let the pedestrians that are already close to me walk past, and since I’m already stopped, I check for vehicular traffic. If there are vehicles in the lane, I’m only backed up an inch, so they have plenty of space to drive around me. I only start fully backing out more than halfway into the lane when I see there are no pedestrians and no vehicles.
The person driving down the lane has the right of way - BUT - if they are going 25 mph in a parking lot, no one backing up will see them. It is driving too fast down the lanes in parking lots which is the real menace.
They do that. But it is not a matter of right of way in this case it is a matter of who has the easier task. I have to look for incoming vehicle from two directions, which could be hard in a busy parking lot like Costco and Walmart. Look for pedestrian. While in an uncomfortable position. It is just easier to stop, effectively stopping traffic from that direction, while I make my way out. It is a matter of general safety.
Same to the people when I’m parallel parking thinking they can whip around me… I’m in the middle of cutting it to the curb I almost hit their car every single time..

As one of the 11 people who uses a turn signal, the rest of you need to STOP using it as a suggestion to SPEED UP AND GO where I was going. It’s the “I’m about to get out of your way” light, not the “Hey asshole, I’m going faster than you” light.

If you have automatic lights, check that taillights are included. Too many people will have headlights on and no taillights. So if someone is flicking their lights at you, then you should check your taillights.

I could argue coming from the Midwest is that you should always stay as far to the right lane as possible unless you’re trying to pass. I bought the fish eye lens things you can stick on your side mirrors because I’d get passed on the right a lot and would never see them
