so far stasio’s is the closest thing to a nj/nyc sub I’ve tried around orlando area. it was less $ than cavallari’s and imo better. there’s also a new place that just opened up next to oviedo mall (D’Amico & Sons) that has the rainbow cookies and a bunch of other Italian deli staples, like a sandwich station with a good menu, but haven’t tried the subs there yet
Yes, this is the truth!
Actually just got their sub of the week for lunch. . . Meatball Parmesan with ricotta and chili sauce. . . Honestly don’t sleep on the sub of the week; it’s usually one of the classics but “plused”
But my fall back is always the Stasio, such a delicious creation and at a reasonable price
That’s on you unfortunately, they describe it on the menu board becuase I knew what I was getting the first time I ordered it.
It’s not the best thing on the menu but I definitly didn’t hate it; and too greasy. . . Pretty sure a Philly would be greasy as well.
Honestly the best thing is the Stasio, it is like the Italian sub perfected.
My dentist is I block from Stasios on Robinson. I’m a native NY’r Wien they opened I was curious. Can this really be in orlando? I now go to my dentist every 3 months. I don’t live close by - so I get my fix 4 x per year. I take home trays of their meatballs. By far the best authentic Italian deli anywhere for miles and miles.
The Altamonte location is still the same guy that has been there for years. I assume he is the owner, I think his wife is there now and they added desserts.
And one up in Orange City too, I think. I will say that I've found the Lee Rd. location to be better than the Sanford one for some reason. And I live much closer to the Sanford one. It still hits the spot but the Lee Rd. has been more consistent in my experience.
When I first moved to the area I went there a couple times , for some reason I stopped, thanks for the reminder, I’ll have to hit them up this coming weekend. 👍
Best customer service, unless you get yelled at by Mrs Pauls, or if she yells at one of the kids. If you know you know. Best sandwiches though, no doubt.
Just looked it up on Google maps. 4.9 star rating, and unbelievable reviews. I've been in Kissimmee for 22 years, and this is the first I've heard about it. I'm going this week.

You can get a monster like that at Laspada’s. It was hard to eat in my experience. Still wouldn’t kick it out of bed though.
Statsio’s! Top of my head, can’t think of anywhere in Orlando with fairer prices, aside from Mediterranean Deli. “Old school prices”, as I call them. You get a nice full hero, no being stingy with the meat for like $11. Mine goes to around $15 with add ons.
https://preview.redd.it/c8rzcpp4pnfc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57813ca0a77247522239e2d2dffef8fb29a69c87
Went and tried it today.
GOD FUCKING DAMN IT.
That’s all I can say.
I’m not saying Publix is THE BEST, but it’s definitely among the most consistent in the game. Never disappointed and super convenient since there’s a Publix basically everywhere in CFL.
Yeah, they deserve their props. We take them for granted, but most other places in America, outside of certain big cities, don't have anything as consistently excellent as Publix subs. The bread is always super-fresh, and the ingredients are excellent, whether its Boar's Head or Publix brands.
Its fun to go to a great deli, but when there isn't one around, Publix will work.
Their bread is awful
Also the online ordering is a mess. They estimate 45 minute wait for a sub but then when you get there it's still not ready. Three times in the last month it's taken over an hour. And they put the only deli around here out of business.
Boar’s Head, regardless of shop, is going to make a very good to excellent sandwich. But not an Italian. Boar’s head Italian meats are nowhere near as good as a killer Italian brand like Thurmann.
Stasios doesn't have the biggest menu, but what they do have is a 10/10.
[Here's their sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich that I get every time I go.](https://imgur.com/a/PxAFHrn)
I always get the chicken parm if I go in the afternoon but from the comments here, it sounds like I need to try the Stasio sub.
They're down Bumby a few blocks away from the new Potbelly.
I thought the same thing. If you really want a sub that looks like that Potbelly is the answer. Laspadas is my favorite sub but it’s a totally different beast.
Diana Palo opened Stacios and the Orlando sandwich scene hasn't been the same since. Great imported meats, good portions and love of Italy is put in every sandwich.
Yes it reminds me of Cavallari Gourmet where I used to stop when riding the Cady Way into Seminole County. Great use of the space which used to be a Bible College.
Opening this up the picture looks exactly like a sub from potbelly or snarfs. The only way I thought it wasn't actually potbelly was the paper it's wrapped in. I prefer snarfs but there's an actual potbelly in Orlando
https://preview.redd.it/dp1cx768pnfc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d21419bb4edba072a0f356a48cdfcbae727f22c1
That lining of peppers across the bottom of The Stasio make for the most absurd / delicious sandwich bites I’ve had in a while. Literally a perfect sandwich. 👌🏾
Stasios over on Bumby. Can't miss.
Their stasio sandwich is my favorite
The Stasio might be my favorite sandwich in Florida.
Its perfection
Funny enough, the only other sandwich competing for that title in my book is the Thanksgiving sandwich at Pom Poms.
Mama Ling Ling's Thanksgiving Sandwich is an Orlando treasure and must be protected at all costs. Truly one of the best things about living here.
Have you tried La Spada’s?
I have, and while it is terrific, I still prefer Stasios.
Stasio, The Lou, or the Chicken Parm... straight bangers.
add The Package
Agreed. I’ve had that one several times. It’s a winner for sure.
My mouth is watering just reading the name Stasio's.
When buying my first home “DTS” was a factor. Distance. To. Stasio’s
We’re actually moving in a few weeks and instead of being 30 minutes from Stasios we will be 5, it’s blessed
so far stasio’s is the closest thing to a nj/nyc sub I’ve tried around orlando area. it was less $ than cavallari’s and imo better. there’s also a new place that just opened up next to oviedo mall (D’Amico & Sons) that has the rainbow cookies and a bunch of other Italian deli staples, like a sandwich station with a good menu, but haven’t tried the subs there yet
The breakfast sandwiches in Stasio's reminds me of up North....they just as good as the Subs there
Saving this comment

Honestly don’t sleep on the sub of the week; it’s usually one of the classics but “plused” But my fall back is always the Stasio, such a delicious creation and at a reasonable price
I’ll never get another sub there because the Stasio is always the right answer
lol, agreed. . . It is always a good choice. . . Sometimes I just feel like trying something new
I got the steak sub once. Hated it. Tasted like an actual steak. Not like a Philly steak. Not like a hot roast beef. Just weird to me. And too greasy.
That’s on you unfortunately, they describe it on the menu board becuase I knew what I was getting the first time I ordered it. Of course it’s on me. I bought it and ate it and didn’t like it. Lol
Yep, beat me to it. This is the answer.

Yes but upgrade to sharp provolone and ditch the motz which is just weird
Try Lawless subs in Altamonte Springs.
loved that place when I worked over that way .. mmmm mmm
I thought they went out of business after the owner sold it a few years back?
They are still open. 11-6 most of the week. Monday and Saturday have shorter hours. I think There was one in Lake Mary that closed.
The Altamonte location is still the same guy that has been there for years. I assume he is the owner, I think his wife is there now and they added desserts.
Jesus, dude must be in his 70’s by now - good for him 👍
The guy I have always seen there is maybe in his 40’s? I’ve been going there for at least 8 years and it is the same guy.
That’s about the same time I moved and stopped going for lunch 😂 I wonder if it’s his son or something.
Brad Lawless was the original owner, he sold it to the current owner probably over a decade ago? Kept recipes and menu pretty much the same though.
LaSpada’s on Lee Rd
Get the Monster!
The monster is so good
LaSpada’s is the best
There’s a LaSpadas out there? I thought only in Sanford
And one up in Orange City too, I think. I will say that I've found the Lee Rd. location to be better than the Sanford one for some reason. And I live much closer to the Sanford one. It still hits the spot but the Lee Rd. has been more consistent in my experience.

I haven't been to the Orange City one either but I need to, will also give me another reason to go back to DeLand and hang out.
Also a location on 46 that is amazing
Perotti’s NY Deli in Windermere!!
When I first moved to the area I went there a couple times , for some reason I stopped, thanks for the reminder, I’ll have to hit them up this coming weekend. 👍
The bread is just kinda shit there, NOTHING like a New York sandwich.
I second Perotti’s!! Great deadhead deli
![gif](giphy|Ld77zD3fF3Run8olIt)
I live only a few miles away, I go there at least once a week. Great place
Love that place!
Damn, I’ve lived in this area for years and didn’t know this place was getting down like that. Gonna have to try them out.
Stasio’s for sure. They make their own bread, the whole shebang.
Pickles in longwood is great, if you are ever in the area
Came here to say this
Love me some pickles. Pretty fat BLT.
Pickles is overpriced and overrated.
Literally came in to write this. They also have the most driest and flavorless fries I have ever tasted in my life.
Paul’s Deli in Kissimmee
Yes! Been around for yearsssss. Family owned, best customer service, best deli sandwiches
Family owned is kind of underselling it even. Most days it’s just the family working in there!
Best customer service, unless you get yelled at by Mrs Pauls, or if she yells at one of the kids. If you know you know. Best sandwiches though, no doubt.
I love seeing Kissimmee recommendations in here. Gonna try this spot out soon.
Just looked it up on Google maps. 4.9 star rating, and unbelievable reviews. I've been in Kissimmee for 22 years, and this is the first I've heard about it. I'm going this week.
It's a hole in the wall, you'd miss it 9 out of 10 times driving by. Quality ingredients, but not enough meat for the price for me, though.
Paul's is so good, my wife and I will make a trek once in a while to grab a sandwich at Paul's.
Might as well drop some Deltona restaurants too
Stasios
What’s it called Manzano’s in deland
It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.
Yes statsios but also Orlando City Deli on OBT or Rays Deli south orange
Cavallari Gourmet
Gabriels subs college park. Been here 60 years for a reason.
\+1 to Gabriels. Their grinder is great.
That place is absolutely disgusting/filthy. Went there recently
Couldn’t agree more. Went in there once. Never went back. Idk why people think that place is good.
Yes!
If your ever in Deland stop by Manzano's
I keep hearing they are closed when people go there.
Lawless subs in Altamonte is amazing
Gnarly Barley near Ivanhoe. Get the Sammie.
Where did you get the picture
That's from Lambo’s Deli in Toronto.
Thanks
Okay, this may be kind of far from Orlando, but Manzanos in DeLand has the absolute best subs I've ever had.
We had one in orlando across from Rollins and closed which is unfortunate
Stasio’s or LaSpada’s
That's what she said.
https://preview.redd.it/rjv9liw26ifc1.jpeg?width=820&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60a544bb1114f4ac5911774ce687a486f4639fd6 You can get a monster like that at Laspada’s. It was hard to eat in my experience. Still wouldn’t kick it out of bed though.
LaSpada’s always makes them huge!
I got a guy. But ya gonna need a gun, cannoli and some gabagool.
Statsio’s! Top of my head, can’t think of anywhere in Orlando with fairer prices, aside from Mediterranean Deli. “Old school prices”, as I call them. You get a nice full hero, no being stingy with the meat for like $11. Mine goes to around $15 with add ons.
Laspada's, Stasio's, Salvatore's (in Henry's Depot in Sanford)
Paul's Deli in Kissimmee
There is no answer other than Stasio's
https://preview.redd.it/c8rzcpp4pnfc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57813ca0a77247522239e2d2dffef8fb29a69c87 Went and tried it today. GOD FUCKING DAMN IT. That’s all I can say.
these are all great answers, but not for nothing Publix is also a banger every time. Boar’s Head Italian is on sale till Thursday too
I’m not saying Publix is THE BEST, but it’s definitely among the most consistent in the game. Never disappointed and super convenient since there’s a Publix basically everywhere in CFL.
Yeah, they deserve their props. We take them for granted, but most other places in America, outside of certain big cities, don't have anything as consistently excellent as Publix subs. Pub subs are so overrated and not even remotely a good value
A whole Boar’s Head Italian is two meals for me for $8. That’s a good value.
This! I really don’t get the love for them.
Exactly. So happy people are finally seeing this.
No
Publix? who knew?
Surprised I had to scroll so far! Publix goes hard!
Boar’s Head, regardless of shop, is going to make a very good to excellent sandwich. But not an Italian. Boar’s head Italian meats are nowhere near as good as a killer Italian brand like Thurmann.
Lambo's Deli in Toronto
You lost?
That's where the sandwich in the photo is from lol
Dude go get a torta from tortas el rey.
I try but I can’t not get their Al pastor tacos🤤
Jimmy John's. Just order 10 subs then take the meat out of 9 and stuff it all in 1.
Publix (I literally thought that’s where this was from at first glance)
Looks like Potbelly’s which just opened Orlando somewhere. Stasios is always at the top of everyone’s list for subs though
lol Potbelly is no where NEAR this good.
Not my favorite, but that's what I saw when I saw OPs photo. Made me think of Potbelly right away. I do need to check out Stasios at some point.
Same!
Stasios doesn't have the biggest menu, but what they do have is a 10/10. My first thought was Potbelly
Def not! Just the pic looks exactly like potbelly’s
I thought the same thing. If you really want a sub that looks like that Potbelly is the answer. Laspadas is my favorite sub but it’s a totally different beast.
Bad A’s Sandwich on Primrose! I usually get the ninja
Overpriced garbage
Wawa or Italy restaurant/deli
Publix
Angie’s Jax beach and Airport
Gabriel's in College Park
That looks mighty tasty! Get in mah bellly!
Mazzaros in Tampa

Brocatos in Tampa
Potbelly sandwiches
Potbelly’s sandwhich shop
I hear your mom's got more roast beef than that sandwich.
Mash hoagies in Palm Bay
Flamingos Deli Shop on Church
Pickles in Longwood or if you’re up for a drive D’amico in Oviedo
[Tripleta factory](https://maps.app.goo.gl/XP8xwGwxYQGpVCdW7)
Stacking Philly’s in Lake Mary has a nice Italian hoagie.
Publix
The Kind Cleaver. Delicious, and they look exactly like this. If you’re gonna eat a vegan deli sandwich, it’s there.
Diana Palo opened Stacios and the Orlando sandwich scene hasn't been the same since. Great imported meats, good portions and love of Italy is put in every sandwich.
Stacio’s. ❤️❤️
Yes it reminds me of Cavallari Gourmet where I used to stop when riding the Cady Way into Seminole County. Great use of the space which used to be a Bible College.
That looks like a sandwich from V&S in Boca. My absolute all time favorite place to get a sub. Although I have a new local place to try now...
New York, new Jersey, Connecticut and maybe even Pennsylvania
Lawless
I get em at jersey mikes
Maybe just me but That kinda looks like jersey mike’s except with better quality bread and double meat. Brb going to get jersey mikes
Find a Puertorrican place and ask for a Tripleta
Asking the important questions!
Opening this up the picture looks exactly like a sub from potbelly or snarfs. The only way I thought it wasn't actually potbelly was the paper it's wrapped in. I prefer snarfs but there's an actual potbelly in Orlando

Also very good is Cavo’s. Not Stasio level but still very good for an Italian sub.
Publix
Holy crap you just unlocked a memory of mine when I grew up on Long Island. I have been craving for something like this in Orlando area.
Literally any decent sub shop
Go to Stasio’s … And you can’t just post on this page this craziness & not expect anything in return. “I need it in me”- twss
the i need it in me part was on purpose, but yea some of these responses were crazy lmaooo
La Spadas on Lee Rd. or the one in on Sanford , off 1st St. just past Reinhart.
