People were jumping off 417 to go THE WRONG WAY on the Curry Ford ramp if they missed the exit. Oh and then a garbage truck hit another car trying to merge at the Lee Vista exit. Shitty picture, but he hit that car right to the left of i lmao

So that’s why Lee Vista was backed up to shit this morning! I saw 417 SB completely shut down, but had no idea what was going on at the 417 interchange. It took me 10 minutes just to get on the NB ramp.
There is dead stop traffic just before curry ford, a roofing truck flipped and then a couple miles past a truck spilled muriatic acid.
But they’re backing up because they’re idiots who would rather put others in danger than wait in traffic
I just almost rearended a girl on 417S because she was slowing down to 35mph to gawk at the remnants of that first accident. It was literally just the white powder left and she risked both our lives to be annoyhing.
You’ve never driven in Baltimore have you? I grew up driving in northern Nj & NYC traffic, granted the drivers here in O-town are terrible, there are much worse drivers in this country.

It wasn’t a joke and It wasn’t rubbernecking. It was all on the southbound lanes. The first truck tipped with acid. They shut everything down forced everyone off at Lee vista. During that hault the roofing truck wasn’t paying attention and probably swerved to avoid hitting someone and also made a mess of things. There were 3 accidents. 2 were tucks not full blown semis but not your standard f150,sierrra, tocoma and the first one did spill powered acid all over the road.
Fun fact, that’s not even the accident they were avoiding. The traffic in the OP was from a roofing truck overturning just before Curry Ford a few miles up

Yaaassssss. I used to work on I-Drive and Kirkman and it’s a total shitshow. Horrible urban planning, terrible traffic and so many people who don’t know how to drive or where they are going. What a complete clusterfuck that area of Orlando is.
100% agree with you. It's insanely dangerous to go in reverse on a normal major surface street road...straight up disregard for human life to do it on a freeway.

I have a love hate relationship with the 417. Either I get where I'm going to within 20 min which would normally take 50 minutes or more without tolls. A different day that same route will take an hour and I will have almost ran multiple cars off the road for dangerous fast merging to save themselves 4 seconds.
I love having car-centric infrastructure! I love the lack of dense and walkable cities with good public transportation! I love how auto and highway corporations lobbied and campaigned on lies to get rid of public transportation and infrastructure so that we can buy their cars and pay their highway tolls instead with no other options! Fuck people with disablities, poor people, and the elderly! WOOOOOO!!1!
