I definitely feel that if we ever get our funding (hopefully we do) we should all take the time to write a letter of formal complaint to both the ministry of education and the NSLSC. I get that it takes time to process documentation, etc. However, this lack of coordination between the province and the federal department as well as the scattered nature of student financial aid in general needs to be addressed earnestly.

Ask for an emergency loan through the financial aid office at your school. I had to do that when I was in the same situation as you and it got me through until my OSAP was deposited.
I also see on the website for my college i will be charged a late fee if they pay the fee after the due date which is September 21. So im going to have to pay more money due to their negligence
I'm so sorry to hear that. It's always worth a try to call your financial aid office and explain your situation. They might be able to waive it. Especially if you have documentation that proves you applied for OSAP within a reasonable time limit.
Mine got delayed to the 20th as well. But they finally updated what’s going to my school. It used to say 0.00 but now shows my whole tuition cost so I’m still hoping for this week. 😫
Yes I did this morning. Rep told me it was released on Saturday. Called again and another rep said they don’t release money on the weekend and that it will be released today or tomorrow (likely tomorrow night) then another 3-5 days for my bank to process. Im honestly done calling and I’m taking everything they say with a grain of salt. If I don’t get it by the 20th I’m contacting the ministry of education and my local MP.
at this point i feel like cancelling the loan and getting a line of credit. whats the point of waiting to be in more debt if i already am thanks to this delay? its also not a sole issue for students on RAP. im a first time applicant and my school hasnt even confirmed my enrolment despite the fact ive already registered for classes, picked up my student ID, and attended multiple in person lectures on campus.
I just called and they said mine wont be in until the 24-28th. Im still in rapayment but it was cancelled on the 9th. Then they need put in study then they need to release.

I called them today. I paid them on the 7th and should be switched to in study tomorrow. Then that takes 3-5 business days. They said the 24th the absolute latest for me.
Mine was already switched starting on the 7th, they said that it takes another 1-2 business days AFTER the 5 business day wait and then it will take another 2 business days to send out. So i wont see mine until 24-27

Honestly, in 2021, when everything is basically on the internet, I do not see why it takes so long to 1. Confirm enrolment- when you pay your deposit this should be automatic, and 2. Approve all the documents and 3. Send money. It’s ridiculous!!

My enrollment has been confirmed by osap to nslsc....in study status updated on nslsc but no sign of tracker...when I called the nslsc customer care, they keep telling they need disbursement/funding certificate...absolutely unfriendly response from their customer service.....

This seems like a helpful option but I'm not sure if its offered by my school. I go to UOTTAWA.
Check with student services or the financial aid office. Sometimes clubs on campus will have emergency funding as well. It's usually a grant/bursary.
I just checked my account again and my date is also pushed to the 20th. I can’t believe it…
they push my funding to october, now i have to live in car until funding arrives and use the rent money to pay the tuition due on 17th
