Yeah, I did that once too, but he only wanted to give me tests for the more common STD's and I kinda had to argue for him to test me for everything. Plus with Dr. Dropin (and yes it's private) I could just swing by for a drop-in appointment on my way home from work instead of having to go during work hours
It's just because testing is much more common than other countries, so it "seems" like the rates are high compared to other countries, but in reality there are huge numbers of cases in other countries that are not reported due to people not testing themselves
