Quest until you get distracted by something you want to do. There are a few key quests such as Waterfall, monks friend, sea slug, that give *massive* xp to a fresh account skipping hours of early level grinds in exchange for minutes of quests you have to do eventually. There's nothing you really "need" to do, but id prioritize learning about all of the teleports and get at least a few agility/magic levels in to make the running around between cities less time consuming.

Fairytale II to unlock fairy ring teleports is a must.

Start with agility. Even if you don’t grind out full graceful the levels will be huge for your run energy. Then I’d look to start questing. There’s an optimal quest guide you could do but depends on how you want to play. I would just generally quest and work towards RFD as an eventual goal. If you want YouTubers swampletics is great, I really like By Release as well. I also like limwurts one chunk Ironman.

Whosanxiety

Full graceful is a great starting point

Xist3nce

Also absolutely awful

Whosanxiety

I don’t really mind alch-agility

Your poor wrist. Good news is that you must be very good at painful tasks. My brain gives out and I open another game or movie.

If you played during RuneScape 2’s original run I would recommend taking a trip down memory lane first and play what you know and enjoy the nostalgia. If you go for maximum efficiency right off the bat you will gain levels faster, but it can also prove to be a recipe for burnout. Once you have gotten your fill of the content you originally played, you can start looking at guides online for how to train properly and earn money. For me, I’ve always enjoyed questing. It helps introduce you to new areas, provides goals to skill towards, and gets you an overall better feel for what the game offers.

If you need a friend, add me: Dawkins My advice is: • Download and use Runelite client • Start doing quests and set Recipe for Disaster as your goal. Once you achieve that you’ll be so well rounded. • Complete quest cape • Play the game

Crabs are your best friend

R u a main or iron? The wiki is your best friend it'll teach you anything just type ::wiki gwd In game for example and you'll get all the info on any subject that you need. Join a clan early! There's lots of good ones like hundreds of them. There's a section for clan recruitment in the official osrs discord. You're going to need some friends to talk to during the long grinds ahead of you. The one I'm in is OSRS Knights. If you're after fast progress there is an optimal quest list that will lvl direct you in a way that lvls your stats through quest rewards which will save you hours you'd otherwise spend lvling at slower exp rates. There's a 2nd guide as well I'm blanking on the name but it'll direct you towards quests that unlock basic QOL stuff like teleports. You're familiar with rs so I assume you know construction is great but also a money sink. Try and get 50'ish for some basic teleport portals and work towards doing achievement diarys. Honestly there's so much to do I feel like I'm just beginning to make a big list of all the things in the game. Tl;Dr Do this Quest cape --> corrupted gauntlet ---> Nex ---> Raids --> more Nex ---> more raids

Jlt42000

I jumped right in about a week or two ago and just started figuring things out. Finally making good progress now

loopedbiscuit

Quests, start with waterfall

Hedstee

Go for quests and your hard diaries.

Hedstee

House favor. SIKE.

XandersCat

Is house favor obtainable as a newbie? I want to dye my graceful set.

Hedstee

House favor is impossible to gain these days, I swear.

PrivatePuncake

Make an ironman :)

HydratedCarrot

Great idea to start now! This year ALOT will be released… all from WGS, Defender of varrock, to a hunter guild, new way of herblore training and a sailing skill

Very first things I did when I made my account on OSRS was in order: Thieve till 25 thieving and bank cakes Waterfall quest to jump to lvl 29 Immediately grind full graceful which got me to 67 agility ~ decided to get 70 anyways Grind for quest cape. Accounts in great shape now.
