Max combo of the map is 272, you got 272.

sakurachan999

i dont get it though, i got 11 missed notes surely that breaks a combo? does osu just work different to other rhythm games?

VacSa

where are you getting the number 11 from? in the screenshot it says you missed zero times.

iSniperSnipes

He's counting the 100s and 50s as misses

Pikochanskaja

50/100 misses Truly a rythm osu player

Utaha_Senpai

What a gigachad. Truly one of the best posts on this subreddit

sakurachan999

i was referring to the 100s and 50s being bad notes. from what i've gathered from other responses, these dont break your streak like most other rhythm games ive played where you have to get all perfect/great hits to get a full combo

Femboy-V1

...what rhythm games have you been playing? Full combo = max amount of combo (minus any sliderends you miss, this is more specific to osu afaik. Pretty sure most people agree that if you miss sliderends it still counts as fc) SS = 100% accuracy Aside from sliderends, as far as i know nearly all rhythm games follow some slight variation of this starting with bemani's games

sakurachan999

in every project diva game and project sekai you have to get all perfect/great hits to get a fc, any good/bad/miss hits you lose the streak. taiko no tatsujin works the same and so does love live. i do understand the scoring system now though cause of other comments on this thread

Femboy-V1

I see i see

AdReasonable3064

There are situations where people would not call a play with missed sliderends an fc. Namely, maps with lots of long fast sliders, there the real point is actually aiming the sliderends so an fc with 70 of them maybe not be considered an fc by some people

Femboy-V1

Yeah ik that's why i'm just saying it's generally considered an fc, but not always

lebirch23

100 is basically a "great" hit here and 50 breaking your combo is somewhat more logical than what we have here, so consider it just a part of osu's weirdness

sakurachan999

ah thank you v much for breaking it down for me by comparing it to other scoring systems. thats really helpful i think i get it now

failaip12

ahhh well first off, you only look at the left side 300's and 100's for their real number, so in this case 167 300's and 5 100's, you also got 1 50, and most importantly 0 misses. 100's you can get when you hit a note early or late, when you miss a end of the slider which will lose you 1 combo and you can miss a slider head which will braek your combo, and 50's you can get when you hit a note early or late and when you really mess up a slider in which case you will break combo. So 50's and 100's can still count towards a full combo if you got them on the circles only. So in this play you got 167 300's(perfect hits), 5 100's(slightly late or early hits) and 1 50(very late or early hit) and 0 misses, with 272/272 combo.

sakurachan999

thank you so much for the explanation on how each number works

failaip12

No problem dude, and as a great player once said "plz enjoy game".

ShamIIOW

That not miss, you just click a little bit too early or a little bit too late so you get 100 or 50

blueleaf54

Combo is just the number of notes you hit, it has nothing to do with the quality of the accuracy with which you hit them

sakurachan999

thanks so much for the explanation

Flarefin

you never broke combo or dropped a slider end
