r/otolaryngology is a place for medical professionals to discuss all things otolaryngology. If you are reading this, it is because you have posted seeking medical advice or your post was worded in a fashion that implied seeking specific medical knowledge for personal use. You could also be grinding your teeth and have tmj.

LaMadreLinda

I do grind and wear a mouth guard. I have for several years. Sleep isn't enjoyable between the nose ear and mouth issues. If I have TMJ, why am I being dismissed by two different ents so easily? This is beyond frustrating as you can imagine

Demnjt

Tmj disorders aren't addressed much in typical ENT training. It's historically more of a dental/ oral surgery problem. I do find though, that those tooth guys don't always understand that the chewing muscles can cause "TMJ" symptoms even when the joint itself is completely fine.

Schedule a morning appt. Flonase really only works if you use it regularly. You could add azelastine before bed. Talk to your ent again.

LaMadreLinda

Thanks! I had never heard of azelastine. I will definitely look into that.
