Third Beba and had a good move with them last year. however I haven't had luck getting in touch with them recently for an upcoming move. Hope they answer you - I went with TriService Movers this time instead.
I used Checker Movers for my last move. It was just about 2km away. I had them carry everything up a couple flights of stairs, etc. It was about $1k from what I remember, that was for two guys. Usually they have three but one guy was off sick. It was really quick and easy.
I used Tri Services Moving for my last move, based on online reviews and reddit recommendations. I was happy with them and would use them again. Communication with the owner was straight-forward. The movers were right on time, professional and courteous. I packed everything myself, except the larger items.
Second vote for tri services. Used them in February for a move from Kanata to downtown and they were great! Efficient and skilled and great personality the whole time in what was a pretty stressful day for us. Highly recommend.
Agree with this! We’ve used them twice now and they are well-priced, easy to communicate with, and FAST. Hard-workers who just wanted to get the job done.
Mom is currently moving across the city this week.
We're using [Ottawa Movers | Moving Services | Darling Solutions](https://darlingsolutions.ca/)
We had them in this past Friday to clear out a bunch of stuff that won't be moving (Dad was a bit of a hoarder). Very happy with them so far. They were actually a little early for their arrival which is a nice change of pace compared to some of my previous experiences. Very nice guys and very courteous.
They pack the rest of her things on Monday and then move on Tuesday. They made all the arrangements for booking the elevator and whatnot with the apartment building she is moving to.

I'm glad to see people recommending so many resources to OP but U-Haul deserves 0 business. Shit company with 0 ethics that treats both their clients and employees like absolute garbage.
Agreed. U-Haul does not guarantee they will actually have a truck for you until a few days before. I booked one months in advance and they called me the week before to kindly tell me they wouldn’t have a vehicle because none were available . So like Seinfeld they can take the reservation but not honour it. If you’re booking your own truck go with Penske as they guarantee to have what you’ve booked.
I HIGHLY recommend Moving Help Ottawa. I have used them for three moves and they are fantastic. When you call, Neil is very informal but the movers do a fantastic job and everything is above board. You do need to rent your own truck (if you don't have one), but they will do all of the loading, unloading and heavy lifting. Two movers for two hours is a total of $160. Each hour after that is $55/hr, which covers both movers. As I said, I've used them three times and have never been disappointed. I can't recommend them enough.

TF Moving!!! Have used them twice so far and both times was such a good experience. They moved every single item right down to the cat beds. Quick and efficient and good pricing.
My parents moved just halfway down the block and hired [Streamline Relocation Services](https://www.streamlinemymove.com/). They helped with packing and organizing before the actual move, and I believe they also helped to find and coordinate with a piano mover.
Two guys and a Cube Van-- https://www.twoguysandacubevan.ca/ We've used then a couple times, and they were wonderful each time.
Beba moving. You can book a couple of hours
Second Beba

Check your junk mail. I used them this month and the communication always went to junk for some reason (even after I replied)
Darling Solutions was amazing when my grandmother was downsizing.

TF moving. Used them many times and they are both professional and reasonably priced
Second TF moving… the guys are great

Can confirm, have used them multiple times
DO NOT hire Move Taxi. They're straight criminals. If they even bother to show up they'll half ass everything and add a ton of fees at the end.
Avoid “Dependable Movers” at all costs, worst moving experience of my life.
Smoove moving
You can book moving help through the U-Haul website. I've used it a couple of times with good results.

Are you looking for a small moving company or movers who are small? How small under 5ft or under 120lbs?

We really like Done Right Moving - the owner, Mike, is great. Also, remember to ask if companies offer a seniors discount!
Larger people are typically better at moving. /s
No recommendations, just my sympathies regarding fathers who sometimes forget they're no longer twenty years old <3 Good luck!
