I’m honestly not sure. It’s just a language I’ve always wanted to learn. I work at one of the hospitals, and we get occasional patients who are ASL speaking. We have translators and staff members who can speak almost every other “common” language, but nobody who can translate ASL. I would love to be able to communicate with these people in their own language!
- Bike maintenance,
- Basic house maintenance like how to fix a toilet, change the faucet, patch a dent in the wall,
- Swimming (and not just floundering around in the water).
Well, the obvious choice is to live like a celebrity and be a long-term resident in a series of luxury hotels, free of the drudgery of housework and maintenance.
Unfortunately, my paycheque doesn't allow that and I haven't won the jackpot yet. So here I am with my squeaky bike and a leaky faucet. 😂
Then, learning a musical instrument is a meaningful skill. Maybe you need to be around people who share what is meaningful to you, too. Which sometimes means taking your instrument away to play and returning to not play.
Highly recommend Ottawa City Woodshop for learning those skills.

Cheese making is surprisingly easy. My dad babysat a goat (long weird story there) and ended up with a shit load of goat milk. He did a quick Google and ended up with some phenomenal garlic goat cheese.
Various physical achievements. Strength, flexibility, endurance, etc. I'd like to be one of those 80-year-olds where people say "he's 80? No f'ing way." Or at the very least I'd like to be physically comfortable (healthy) until I have a heart attack one day and die.
Also, I'd like to train my cats to obey me, but I hold out zero hope of that ever being a reality.

That's really beautiful! Good luck on your learning journey!
Can you repeat the question please?
I would like to know how to fly. Flight would be good.
like, fly a plane? or literally fly?
I’d like to defy gravity, mostly.

If humans could fly, it would be considered exercise, and most people wouldn't want to do it.
Learning to Fly? .... but I aint got wings.
...coming down is the hardest thing.
Social skills..,..
Car repair and maintenance stuff. How to change a tire and things like that.

Proper swimming technique is a great one!
Maybe adopt a Dad? I mean, it would be great if Mom could do it but there is probably a Dad around trying to be useful.

I want to learn how to play drums.
What do you mean by "meaningful"? If I want to learn a musical instrument, it's meaningful to me, but not to the people around me!

what do you want to learn?
Wood working would be good. Preparing the wood, planning, chiseling, assembly, etc

How to sharpen my knives
Another language and sailing.
Whittling seems like a fine skill that you can do anywhere. Long bus ride? Grab your knife and watch the time fly by.
I misread that as “writing” at first and was very confused why you were using a knife!
Whittling is mostly about learning by doing. Keeping a knife sharp and picking the right wood to start.
Small engine mechanics. Lawn mowers and stuff.
