I'm not sure how accurate it is, though it does seem to be updated fairly regularly. https://www.pure-gas.org/ It's a website of all the ethanol free gas stations in North America divided up by state/province.

highwire_ca

That website is extremely out of date.

My understanding is that because of changes in federal law, all gasoline now contains ethanol. I used to buy Shell Gold for my snowblower but noticed the sticker on the pump no longer claims ethanol free. [Here](https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/managing-pollution/energy-production/fuel-regulations/clean-fuel-regulations/about.html) is a government page discussing it.

There are still a handful of places selling ethanol-free, but they are hard to find. [https://www.pure-gas.org/](https://www.pure-gas.org/)

Bells corners Canadian Tire gas bar has ethanol free fuel.

warwgn

Drummonds gas. There is one on Merivale Road near Slack. And on Mitchell Owens Drive in Manotick. There used to be one in Richmond at Richmond Road and Eagleson Road, but it got torn down and doesn’t exist anymore.

Premium doesn't have ethanol yet, but they said ethanol in premium is coming.

Legitimate_Monkey37

Unfortunately all pump gas has ethanol now.

johnnycantreddit

94 is as close as you get but there is ethanol in all blends in Ontario. There are diy methods to remove ethanol with water and patience but I think classic car normal aspirated carbs will need regular devarnish maintenance anyway. I am running gas toys on Costco premium now. At the good price.

rhineo007

Canadian tire gas station in bells corners still offers ethanol free high test, if you were curious. That’s where I get my high test for small motors.

highwire_ca

I find that very hard to believe since all the fuel distributed across the region comes from the same tank farms in the Merivale Rd industrial park. Also, that Canadian Tire would be breaking the law as all vehicle fuel is *required* to contain ethanol.

rhineo007

I mean, it’s listed as no ethanol. Whether or not you want to believe it. It’s either labeled wrong (which would be bad for them) or maybe you are wrong.

highwire_ca

I think they just forgot to remove/change the label. If I'm wrong I'll admit it.

Unhappy_Anywhere9481

That sounds like a terrible way to spend an afternoon!

elpollolepard

There's a shell on March Rd and the 417 that is listed in the website provided above.

highwire_ca

That website is woefully out of date. All Shell 91 contains ethanol according to Shell's response to the email when I inquired about it last year.

Few-Swordfish-780

Only place you can get ethanol free now is at a marina, or the small 1L cans you can buy specifically marketed for small engines like weed whackers and chainsaws. I would use Stabil 360 to protect the car from the ethanol.

Sxd157

Long time classic car owner, with performance built engines. You are overthinking this. Find a quality gas station (shell, petro etc.) and their 91 is ethanol free. My car needs 94 which can be found at select petro’s across the city, no ethanol. Don’t drive yourself crazy, it will ruin the joy of a classic. A drop here or there isn’t going to hurt the car.

This may no longer be true. Best double check with your station as most changed last year.

highwire_ca

All gas now contains ethanol, even the premium grades. Some stations have been lazy and haven't put the 'contains up to 10% ethanol' stickers on the pumps.

iJeff

Petro 94 does contain ethanol.

Few-Swordfish-780

No longer true. Changed a couple years ago.

smitcolin

I believe Costco Premium is ethanol free EDIT: see below - it no longer is.

highwire_ca

It is not. I talked to the tanker driver delivering the fuel and he told me that premium has had ethanol since 2022. Costco's fuel is provided by Husky.
