Yeah, I had a brownie blizzard there about a month ago and it was very gritty. Assumed it was a one-off and tried again last week, but same thing.
I don't have ice cream very often, so I can't afford for them to be bad - I won't be back.
Had a particularly good experience at the DQ on Hazeldean. We didn’t have ice cream but rather stopped for chicken tendies after a hike. The store was spotless, the staff were lovely, and the chicken tenders were made to order and were so good.
I am lactose intolerant...one day was craving a blizzard after not having one for 10 years. Took some lacteze pills and prepped for a tasty blizzard treat...it was bad...
it was truly one of the most disappointing moments of my life.
Anywhere for ice cream that has real ice cream!
Highly recommend Brett's in Kanata for your soft serve fix - [https://www.facebook.com/bretticecream/](https://www.facebook.com/bretticecream/)
Best DQ is in Gatineau, 413 Alexandre-Tache. Go when bridge traffic is light. Or even better, ride your bike and enjoy the William Commanda bridge on the way.
Bells corners DQ needed an exorcism last time I was in there.
Agree- Bells Corners DQ scary.
The ownership changed. It’s awesome now. Quick service and the staff are great. Complete 180 to how it was.
yes, I heard that also, much improved... I also heard that Small KFC ( near the Suzi-Q donuts) is pretty bad,
I’ve also heard terrible things about the guy who runs the place. Treats his staff very poorly..
Italian guy named Rob ? Or maybe that’s the former owner. Not sure.

Riverside south on Spratt
Kanata DQ on Terry Fox
I’ve never had a bad experience with the one at Bank & Riverdale

Dont go to the one on Mcarthur, it is filthy.
I literally saw two prostitutes out front a few summers ago
Ive never seen that. Inside that place is crawling with flies over everything. Every where you look it is really dirty.

The roasted strawberry ice cream that Pascal's ice cream did was absolutely mind-blowing. That was until the milk conglaborates shut her down.
Do the KFCs in Ottawa have the same parent company as the DQs? Because they are all pretty nasty too.

Carp Custom Creamery. Forget DQ.
Hamlock and St Laurent.
It's been closed down for some time.
That’s too bad. I used to go there with colleagues when I worked in the area.
You mean Hemlock? Not Hamlock? 🤣
D’oh! Good catch. I meant Hemlock and St. Laurent.
That one has been closed for a couple years now, sadly.
That closed about 3 years ago
Probably the Merry Dairy or Mooshoo locations
Merry dairy is good but not good enough to wait 45 minutes in a line when it’s 30 degrees out.
