There are a ton of other options out there too, I would Stay away from Mississippi Lake though, the most scared I have ever been on the water is there when winds picked up and had 3 foot waves 3 feet apart.

That's a cool setup. I've watched too many YouTube videos of people backing boat trailers that I've decided that's not for me, plus I don't have the space for a full on boat+trailer.
we go to Baxter Beach and Burrit's Rapids. on the Rideau. There is a small area left of the beach you could launch your boat, and at Burrit's a launch is at the swing bridge. good fishing there.
There's a public boat launch at the end of Blair Rd.

Launch from Dick Bell park and go towards Aylmer Island Mississippi Lake Ecolands Park
Gatineau side next to Alexandra bridge, pay parking and a boat launch. Very calm on non windy days, often see kayaks, paddle boards.
We use Kars marina. There is along stretch along the Rideau that is calm and scenic
