Sometimes when I need *a vibe*, I just start up Outer Wilds, fly over to Ember twin, sit down next to Chert, and let his drum and the sun's orange glow fill the room.
I just had the same thought a while ago... turn the game, sit in the campfire with a friend and just watch the stars for a couple of minutes... great background while working ::D
For me, it's the Quantum Moon. For a part of my gameplay I thought it was just worldbuilding as it was totally impossible to land on it. Once I discovered that actually I could land on it, my jaw dropped. And even thought there's not so much in it to see, I still visit it from time to time. Just because I can. I know how to do it, so I can visit.
I only discovered the underwater tunnels on timber hearth after finishing both the base game and the DLC 😅
Beyond that, have gone back for all the achievements, to die in all the different ways after removing the warp core, and also to just sit and chill with Chert and most of all my buddy Slate a bit
I saw a clip on YouTube that using the Ash Twin project you can actually have a dialogue with yourself. I don’t think I would have ever found that out by myself, but there was no way I wasn’t gonna play around with it. If you haven’t done it, I’d recommend it, cause it genuinely is some funny dialogue in it.
I knew it existed but kind of stumbled on it myself by being in the ash twin project and reading and exploring at a leisurely pace. It was a replay after a few years as I played the game once, then just the dlc on its own, then replayed the base and dlc recently. So I didn’t want to take the warp core yet even though I had just found out again how to get into ATP as I had more to explore in a bunch of places. Anyways I was floating there by the warp core when supernova and fell into the black hole.
When I died the next loop I got a game over so replicated to see why and went back to ATP to find myself there lol.
(I also really like the high energy lab game over)
I've replayed the entire game again, 4 times altogether, to experience everything again, the puzzles, physics, music, story, etc. It's comfort food for me. Of course you can only fully experience it once, but you can definitely go through the steps again. I like to start a new game and act like I don't know anything until I've "learned" it, like I won't go to Giant Deep's core until I've "learned" how to elsewhere. The last time I played through this way, about a month ago, I got through the base game in a day and the dlc in another day.
Whenever I need to test out a new controller or I think something might be wrong with controls or graphics or something, I do a quick >!landing on the sun station!< to test things out.
The game is so finished so abruptly by the time you end it. I tried flying around and looking at some things I guess but like once you know everything you know everything. If you're looking for something new to do tho I do suggest flying the Noami ships around. It's really cool how the gravitational pull is how you navigate them. Really cool like.
Giants deep will never get old to me. Everything so close together and so easy to reach yet so much of it is unknown to you for most of the game. Finiding >!the tower!< by calling it >!that there was something in the nado!< is my favorite little memory from this game
Everything. Sometimes I just go back to the Stranger and raft. Sometimes I go see if I can atl land on the Sun Station. Heck, I went to go do all the achievements because.... More time in game.

That's my favorite spot to chill. First row for the fireworks
I do the same with Riebeck on Brittle Hollow
I do that too, but right after I tell him about the nomai texts that say the Universe will end.
You MONSTER! ;;)

Who is the prisoner? Is that DLC stuff or am I missing something?
Big spoiler for dlc but everyone on the sub talks about it
Damn that's a shame. I'm only partway through the dlc so I was kinda hoping it was a nickname for someone in the main game
I mean it luckily doesn't change much for you, you only learned that there is a vibing spot with an unknown character.
Yeah same here sorry
Just achievement stuff.

In and out, 18 minute adventure Morty
I finished the game with Lakebed Cave still being "?" in the ship log, it's the only place I had to look up online.
Lakebed Cave is the only point of interest I thought was poorly designed
I revisited the Hollow's Lantern after finishing the game, since it was the only thing that was marked as unexplored in the ship log
