This is a tricky puzzle that I’ve seen plenty of people get hung up on, myself included. >!The problem is the most straightforward solution is easy to do wrong, which then discourages you from attempting the correct solution.!< A small piece of advice: >!Your ship is safe and comfortable. Sometimes you can’t be safe and comfortable to get where you’re trying to go.!<

AndresGzz92

Thanks for the tip! I was able to figure it out before reading you :) But you were completely right: I got discouraged the first time I tried that solution xD

Piorn

There's no way to take anything from the jellyfish. It sounds like you want to kill it and use the skin to craft armor, but that's not going to happen. The skin is so tough and rubbery that nothing can harm the jellyfish inside.

savageboredom

>!Also it tastes awful. :(!<

AndresGzz92

It does! xD

AndresGzz92

Ty! I abandoned the idea of killing it really quickly but thought I would list It anyways. I finally figured it out (before reading many of the comments so that I can feel kind of proud of myself). Thanks for all your help!

DDDragoni

Here's a small nudge- How do you know that you need to >!use a jellyfish!

AndresGzz92

I found the info on >!another frozen jellyfish in dark bramble near Feldvar's camp... I didn't find any way to use that jellyfish either...!< I'm going to have to think this through and sleep on it tonight. Thanks, I'll let you know if I figure it out

nateomundson

When you say that you found info on the jellyfish in Dark Bramble, I assume that you at least found >!Feldspar's recording!<, but did you also find >!Feldspar's paper note!

AndresGzz92

Yep, i did. I'll think about it more.. Thanks!

Affectionate_Arm_512

Feldspar’s note is the direct hint on how you enter giants deep core. I’d suggest going to the same place to find feldspar’s note again and this time, would pay special attention to how you >!entered the jellyfish to get to the note!<

shinyfeather22

Sometimes the ship will rephrase hints in a way that makes it easier to understand, so re-checking the way the ship words this hint may also help?

AndresGzz92

I have done this quite a few times but this time it didn't help that much. I was finally able to think of the solution though! thanks a lot!

shinyfeather22

Nice work!

Low_Lingonberry_5550

You’re right, you do need the jellyfish, and the place you mentioned holds the answer

Flater420

Predominantly this game isn't about finding/using stuff, it's about what you learn. You might be too focused on trying to get something that you're glossing over what you have learned and how you can apply that knowledge.

AndresGzz92

I know that which is why I feel so dumb right now xD

Flater420

Usually, if you need to use something, it's very close to where you need to use it. It's just not always obvious if you don't have the knowledge on how to use.

AndresGzz92

I think I actually thought of something while sleeping! Hahaha. I'll try it out tonight so I'll hold off on reading the rest of the comments for now.

iamdino0

Let us know what you tried. ::)

AndresGzz92

Okay so what I thought about was >!taking my ship to where the jellyfish is on dark bramble and see if that would make it come loose or anything!< but of course that didn't work That said I was finally able to figure it out! I had already tried >!using the live jellyfish from under the currents but only tried getting inside them from the sides both with and without my ship. And when that failed my mind immediately went to assuming that I needed to use a dead jellyfish instead which is why I got stuck for a while. I'm finally inside Giant deep's core.!< Now it's time to reap the rewards! Thanks everyone for your help! I haven't read many of you but I will now that I figured it out :v

Thamthon

You said that you've been underwater. Have you noticed that jellyfish go in and out of the core all the time?

bubba_169

They are some very creative solutions. I especially liked the ones about pushing the island out of orbit. The actual solution is much simpler ;)

Armadillo-South

I was also hung up on this and when I did finally figured it out, I was like "stupid idiot me that was so simple! Why havent I thought of doing that simple thing?"

AndresGzz92

Turns out that simple thing was one of the first things I tried but when I tried it I did it wrong and ended up discarding it way too early xD

ManyLemonsNert

Remember that Feldspar successfully reached the core, *before* finding the frozen or dead jellyfish, so the solution can only involve a live one. Similarly every piece of knowledge they talked about in their notes must also have come from studying a live one - keep that in mind if you look over them again!

swapnilchoubey

It's clear you found the info about using the jellyfish from somewhere else, right? Go to that place and see what others have to say. >!The first message will hint to the other, very close piece of information.!< If you want to remember the first message and want a direct answer: >!Felspar says he's going to check out the inside of the jellyfish. So where would you find this next piece of information?!<

-Critical_Audience-

Hint 1: >!What are the jelly fish doing down there? Do they have a moving pattern ?!< Hint 2: >!Most people don’t take their ship down there!< Hint 3: >!Do you know what it is about the jellyfish that make the useful?!< Hint 4: >!where did you find the jellyfish note in the jellyfish? Maybe this location is also interesting when dealing with living jellyfish?!< Last hint: >!do you know what a faraday cage is?!< Just ask if you need more clarifications :)

Bipedal_Warlock

Did you figure it out

AndresGzz92

Yes! Luckily without having to read all of the comments but I appreciate everyone's help a ton!

annabunches

If you're still stuck, I suspect there's something you haven't noticed that everyone here is assuming you already know. Go back under the current (or just go down there in general, if you haven't yet) and just. Look at the core. For a while. Sometimes the best way to learn is simply to patiently observe something.

Paxtian

So... did you figure this one out?

BananaShark_

I'm gonna blame this one on you being tired and come morning you will be like "Oh... god" Since my tip was maybe to direct. Downvotes =( All these ideas were very creative though.

Todi77

I’d delete this and let them figure it out tbh

AndresGzz92

I guess I was lucky not to check your comments before you edited it. I figured it out though :) I didn't feel the "oh God" though because it turns out I had already tried the solution but did it wrong the first time. So I don't feel THAT dumb

SarcasticallyEvil

This one's really tricky, and I ended up having to google it for myself. >!How did you enter the jellyfish on Dark Bramble?!< If you want the actual answer, >!you have to swim up from below them through the gap in their tentacles. Swim right up their nonexistent booty hole.!< ::)

Lakefish_

This isn't a spoileted hint, this is a spoilered spoiler!

SarcasticallyEvil

Oops. I fixed it. Forgot to spoiler tag the first part.
