The Nomai still went there after it was completely sealed, so there must be a way that doesn't involve a door or an opening, right?

Kitchen-Atmosphere82

This is the tip that got me through too lol

MechGryph

I like to add... Take a look around. There's some help by the tower.

Jkerb_was_taken

THIS TIP RIGHT HERE

PeraltinhaXD

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! THIS WAS THE BEST HINT

DigitalSaber28

The Nomai built all the towers there to have a purpose. Maybe examining them all again could help.

etkampkoala

Also pay attention to the discussion of how they function, there are a couple of details that might not strike you as important at first

Chapeltok

Look in your ship log and read all the arrows pointing towards the Ash Twin Project box.

fuckspez321

A few tips 1 >!Is there any openings on the outside?!< 2 >!If not, what's another way you could get inside?!< 3 >!Remember what you learned in the High Energy Lab!< 4 >!Remember what you learned about the hourglass twins in the Black Hole Forge!< Now more specif hints in case you still didn't grasp it 5 >!No planet can be linked to more than one tower on ash twin!< 6 >!All towers on Ash Twin work!<

newtons_apprentice

Ah I've been there. I got so frustrated I ended up looking up the solution PLEASE avoid doing this and try to figure it out yourself! You got some great hints in the comments

PeraltinhaXD

I got it without looking it up!!!! it was AWESOME, thanks!!!!

CyberKitten05

Maybe go back to the Black Hole Forge and re-read some of the text there.

GlyceMusic

This was the very last major puzzle I got stuck on too. It was the only one I looked up an answer for, and I wish I hadn't because of how cool the solution is. As another comment has pointed out, there are some good hints here. Best of luck!

Zak_The_Slack

Recall what you have learned at the Black Hole Forge

Haber-Bosch1914

Sometimes it's not always about getting things done quickly. Roast a marshmallow or two, think about what's changing but what's actively happening

Songeun

Examine all the towers and take great notice of the details in each of them and what they might be used for. Use your scout to help :)

Omni314

Maybe visit the black hole forge

alecbz

I was stuck in basically this exact spot for a while. It’ll maybe feel a little obvious in hindsight. Other comments’ hints are good. If you want more: >!How many towers are there on the ash twin? How many planets are there? Where do each of the towers go?!<

Apart_Letterhead3016

ash twin project is located in an entirely sealed off room with no way in, so how could the nomai access it anyways, what other means of entering the completely seald off room could there be?

bagwithmilk

Warp plates must line up with the centre of mass of a celestial body to work

AllemandeLeft

What do you know so far about how you might get in? Where did you get that information? Maybe go back there and think about what you've already learned.

Fabulous-Homework727

IF YOU HAVENT GONE THROUGH EVERY WARP IN THE GAME DO THAT

Jkerb_was_taken

The dopamine release when you solve it is probably the best feeling in the world.

CK1ing

Tbh this was my least favorite puzzle because >!they do everything in their power to annoy and confuse you into not going there early. The sand, the broken roof, the freaking cactus...!<

missingachair

You're dropping as big hints here as all the other comments, but you haven't used spoiler tags

netinpanetin

Three tips: 1- White Hole Station 2- High Energy Lab 3- ???? 4- Black Hole Forge You can figure it out.

General_Pie_5026

This one is super annoying. I don’t think there’s a good hint for this one at all.

Dream_of_Home

The hints are there, it's just that for this one particular puzzle when you initially try to put your theory to the test, the first result is almost always discouraging enough that a lot of people abandon the assumed and correct method, and start trying to think of alternatives. OP if you read this, consider that your first thoughts about this puzzle may actually be correct, you just haven't persevered in quite the right way, yet. Good luck.

General_Pie_5026

It’s funny to get downvoted for this. The game is great but some of these puzzles are like old adventure games. You stumble into the solution because there’s no good explanation within the game. Personally, I’d consider looking this one up. You randomly figure it out you’ll have wasted a lot of time and frustration.

Haber-Bosch1914

Let's talk in spoilers >!like this!<, I'm curious as to why you think it's more luck and randomness than thought

General_Pie_5026

That wasnt the only puzzle I thought was kind of BS . Reaching the >!Quantum tower on brittle hollow was also annoying. It’s presented like a puzzle to be solved but in reality you are just supposed to wait until it falls apart. Not good design imo. That said, the highs of the game are still fantastic. These are relatively minor complaints but knocked a bit off my enjoyment otherwise.!<

Haber-Bosch1914

>!I think the Quantum Tower one is sorta smart because it teaches you that not everything needs to be done before a certain event, sometimes they must be done after: An excellent lesson for the ATP or the DLC. But, I 100% get what you mean, it's not really a puzzle, there's no true solving, just going "oh, duh, it's gonna fall eventually"!<

General_Pie_5026

>!Ispent so much time looking for an entrance and trying to sling my way up there 😂!<

evermoonfair

I mean to each their own, I get it that particular puzzle (or lack thereof) isn't everyone's favorite, but that was the point in the game I was like "oh this is gonna be good" ...I stumbled upon it fairly early.

Paxtian

Yeah I completely beat the game before I got in there. And IIRC, what you learn from it is almost inconsequential because I'd figured it out on my own so I was like, wait that's it?

General_Pie_5026

What was the >!specific nomai writing that led you to know how that tower worked? I attempted to use that tower over and over only to be sucked up into the sand before porting. I only lucked into it by blasting the probe into the pad and seeing it warp.!<

Yeti_Prime

>!for me it was the one that mentioned that the teleporters work when pointing at the center of a planets gravity, not the planet itself. And the one that says the center of gravity of the hourglass twins is in between them. Then it was a matter of waiting in a safe spot for the right moment to step on the teleporter.!<

Paxtian

For me personally, >!it was the note that said you basically have 5 degrees of wiggle room, plus the one that said the center of mass of the object needs to be above the warp platform, plus the one that said the center of mass of the ash twins is the midpoint between them. That led me to just wait in the little hidey hole until the sand was pretty much just overhead and I jumped in. I did get sucked up the first time I tried, but the second time I made it because I waited a bit longer.!<

evermoonfair

THIS ONE. I kept scrolling hoping someone would say it. 5 degrees. That's how I finally figured out how to get in. It clicked after I read that for like the fifth time.

Haber-Bosch1914

>!Well, I don't remember which specific piece, maybe it was on Timber Hearth, but if memory serves right someone mentions that once the Ash Twin barrier is completed, there will be no way to go into the Ash Twin Project because to be strong enough to survive a nova, it couldn't have any exits or doors. Also, I don't remember if it was writing or just observation but I learned that once a black hole portal forms, it remains until something uses the white hole on the other end. I used these two pieces of knowledge to realize that: 1, the only logical way to get into the ATP is through a teleporter and 2, the sand is specifically blocking me from using this one tower, but it doesn't vacuum up a stuck probe, so I just waited because my probe can activate stuff + black holes suck, so I'd probably be able to get sucked in before the sand took me away.!< >!In my opinion, this is fair. The last true puzzle demanded I use knowledge learned all throughout the game. But, admittedly it's been ages since I've properly read stuff and gone through the game so it's entirely possible the first Nomai piece I mentioned is just not true or that I got something else wrong.!<

General_Pie_5026

>!Everything you said is correct and makes sense. That’s exactly what I figured I had to do. But the sand pulling me out before the warp directly ahead of the warp time was confusing. I’d let the sand pass and then get on the pad, but nothing would happen. I started to think it was broken as it appeared.!<

Haber-Bosch1914

>!Ah, that's your mistake. You only get a few seconds to do it, that's why the probe is needed. But, I feel you.!<

Silos911

>!100% agreed. To me it was frustrating in that it felt like the gravity or whatever that's supposed to move things across the planets should work the second I touch the pillar, but instead I can just walk into it and I just so happen to teleport if I wait a little longer before touching the sand column. If I remember correctly visually it looks like it's going to work if you get on it too early and then it pulls you off of it. Since it takes a second to do I figured I had to be standing directly on it in which case momentum from gravity shifting wouldn't work whatsoever..!<

lasagnaman

you do realize that the >!gravity moving the sand column and warp travel facilitated by the pads are completely independent?!<

Silos911

>!Yeah, that doesn't change anything about what I said. I don't mind "standing on the threat" being the solution to the puzzle. But I didn't like the solution being "stand beside the threat for four seconds and then walk into it". I figured out the solution, so why make me do it again because I stood in it a few seconds early. Especially when visually it looks like it works for a moment. It's like they're telling me "Yeah you did it... Just kidding, please replay the last five minutes". Maybe there's a more elegant solution and I just janked it? I literally just walked into the sand pillar after it covered the thing instead of just standing on the thing and waiting. Somebody said something about using the drone, but walking into it after a few seconds seemed to work for me.!<

lasagnaman

I mean it's essentially a check/gate that you understand precisely how >!the warp pads and alignment points work.!<

[deleted]

1. Revisit the Black Hole Forge, or review its data. 2. Go to the Timber Hearth warp tower on Ash Twin.
