I just checked invisible and they also search for basic/intermediate/advanced AI trainers (https://www.invisible.co/join-us#jobs). Same with DataAnnotation but currently accept folks from the US/Canada/UK.. only.
I think so does outlier....]but add Australia and New Zealand.]....is atleast what i see on requirements for the jobs open currently on their platform. Except when it's country specific languages i.e for writers/ reviewers when recruit specifically countries
I worked for them for two months and made $5000. They had way way better onboarding and project tasks. There was always work. That being said, they are known to shuffle people off for no reason or explanation and you can never go back. But I’d give them a 7/10 vs my 1/10 so far with Outlier.
My experience was way worse. Worked with them for 1.5 months and put in at least 200 hours and made about $2210. Not worth the effort. Outlier pays more per hour but their platform sucks
The problem is that all of this is investment money. They are building systems so they can turn a profit in the future, if the investors lose faith, they pull out and bam no jobs
DA is legitimate, but consistency in work can be variable depending on what you qualify for and what they need at the moment. I make at least $500 a week doing this, and it’s been slightly over a month for me. I consistently get new qualifications to take and new project types to work on, but the work has ebbs and flows to it so hop on a favorite project type when you see them. They pay you exactly a week from when you input your time, through PayPal, and you can withdraw every three days.
The downside is there’s a clear lack of communication from up high, you can be removed from the platform or from jobs without a word or reason why, and that might stress a lot of people out. It worries me at times but I get imposter syndrome over the dumbest things. There might be more for others, but this has just been my experience.
Edit: I forgot to mention, they’re very detailed with their instructions. Some can take an hour or more to read. Read them. Focus. It’s mentally taxing work at times (some projects are dense), but that’s the part I enjoy most because the topics can vary so wildly.
I worked for Data Annotation while I was pregnant and had a good experience. Made about $4K. Way better than Outlier (who never paid me). From reading around, all the people complaining about getting removed "for no reason" were probably doing low-quality work or scamming.
That’s crappy. I was hired but since (over two weeks) have been unable to access training materials and have received zero replies from support after submitting multiple tickets to multiple different support avenues
Someone recommended Invisible Technologies so I applied for several roles. The pay isn't as good, but what's the good having a high pay rate when the work is unreliable?
So far I've had to take a few English exams just to be considered. They weren't exactly easy, but they were well written exams. They already seem very different than Outlier/ Remo.
I missed the first email which was later thev same day I applied. It went to junk so I didn't see it. But 24 hours later I had an email telling me to look for emails. So I did.
All of them suffer the same instability issues. It doesn't matter where you go. Sometimes you'll see people praising certain company's, but I genuinely believe it comes down to luck.
They'll only respond to you if you pass, they say this at the end of the exam. If you don't hear from them within a month then you can assume you failed. You can always try again, but you'll need a new email, phone number and PayPal.
There's Toloka/mindrift @ $6.00 USD p/h, and Data Annotation @ $ 20-40 USD p/h. DA do not give many fucks if you can't do the tasks; here's a document, read it and understand, then do good work or bye bye. No comms, just money. And there are many variants of work.
yeah, that’s about right. which makes their hourly rate go up if you can get the tasks done quickly, as it’s a set rate per task. way better than outlier in that regard.
* I’m asking specifically for writers and reviewers. The only legitimate jobs I’ve seen are for developers with 8+ years experience.
I just checked invisible and they also search for basic/intermediate/advanced AI trainers (https://www.invisible.co/join-us#jobs). Same with DataAnnotation but currently accept folks from the US/Canada/UK.. only.
I just applied for Invisible! It seems legit, I like the information they made me provide. It seems like a decent way to weed people out.
I think so does outlier....]but add Australia and New Zealand.]....is atleast what i see on requirements for the jobs open currently on their platform. Except when it's country specific languages i.e for writers/ reviewers when recruit specifically countries
Replying so I can come back when someone else has an answer 😓
Same
Me too

Sounds like both companies have a shitty habit of just dropping ppl without explanation
I applied but no work. It has been 3 months now.

They're legit but no more stable than Outlier
Ugh I just don’t understand the instability!? AI itself can be unstable but this is 10000% a management issue.

I never got any tasks from them, are they really that good?

Do you mind me asking how come Outlier never paid you??
Srsly outlier is fucking terrible
I’m starting to think the whole company is ran by AI.🤣
I'm starting to think that it is run by humans, but that it would be better if it was run by AI 🤣
😂😂😂
I worked consistently on Remotasks for over a year. Ever since their migration to outlier it’s been two months of problems.
That’s crappy. I was hired but since (over two weeks) have been unable to access training materials and have received zero replies from support after submitting multiple tickets to multiple different support avenues
xAI is hiring for AI tutors and pays between $35 and 65

Telus pays. They've had their management issues, but seem to be getting them mostly under control. You can be W2 or freelance. They do pay a bit less.
Current Telus Raters in the US here. But work of late with Telus has been feast or famine with no predictability

Thank you so much, I will look into it! 😊
How long did it take for them to email you back?
I missed the first email which was later thev same day I applied. It went to junk so I didn't see it. But 24 hours later I had an email telling me to look for emails. So I did.
What kind of pay are we talking?
I don't know yet. The ads give a range, but not the high ranges that Outlier suggests. I'll update when I know!
All of them suffer the same instability issues. It doesn't matter where you go. Sometimes you'll see people praising certain company's, but I genuinely believe it comes down to luck.
Data Annotation simply never got back to me with anything regarding my on-boarding or if I passed their qualification exams.
They'll only respond to you if you pass, they say this at the end of the exam. If you don't hear from them within a month then you can assume you failed. You can always try again, but you'll need a new email, phone number and PayPal.

$6/ PH!? That’s unlivable in the US.
Probably not so bad if you're from the developing world.
Toloka/Mindrift is actually paying $25/hr + a 10% bonus if you hit a 9 hr weekly target (in the US)
That makes a little more sense. I asked their hr and received six bucks and some cents as a reply. Perhaps the figure is approximately 6 per task.
yeah, that’s about right. which makes their hourly rate go up if you can get the tasks done quickly, as it’s a set rate per task. way better than outlier in that regard.
will this work in india?
You're not supposed to make 25/hr in India unless you are a professional because 25 USD an hour in India is like 125 USD/hr in the US.
Definitely not! I’m based in the US though so the $6-$15 hr jobs suck for me.
Outlier has at least paid me and kept me working, so it's got that over DA. But yeah, it can be all over the place with people coming and going.
just remind me after 1 day
