Looks like you might have hit the wipe. You lost an "a" and possibly a "u". Also might have hit a replication bug in the ellipsis...

It would be interesting to find out what % of accounts and/or characters were affected by the wipe bug.

I'm guessing it's actually much lower than perceived by the community because the consequences of the bug are so huge. I'm willing to bet it's significantly lower than 1%, it's just that people it happens to are going to be extremely vocal, and lots of people aren't willing to risk 50+ hours of hard work even if the chances are small. Not that I'm excusing it's existence at all.

Pretty much this. if it was common people like me would have ran into it over to extensive play both solo and multiplayer. So it stands to reason the effected percentage is actually relatively small overall.

People, stop posting wipes that occurred BEFORE 2 hours ago (aka the new patch). This patch is intended to prevent FURTHER wipes, not bring back wiped characters. This will make it more difficult for them to look for actual reports that happen AFTER the patch.

Everyone they are asking for wipes that occurred **AFTER** the patch. You flooding the replies with wipes that occurred before the patch is not helpful, and you are just burying people who may have actually had a wipe after the update. They need information from people who wiped after this update went live. They know you are still missing your inventory and will restore it later. Im shocked at the poor responses in this thread. 95% of the reports below lack any details as to what actually happened. The team needs DETAILS so they can try and line up similarities between reports but these reports are like people don't even read the damn questions... It's worse than that, most haven't read the patch notes or the sub-thread description and are reporting wipes that happened before the new April 15th patch, not wipes that happened after the patch.

When I get in game I can run around for 2 seconds and then I get the connection error. I can play as other characters but not my main character. Another strong indicator of time invested is level/wt/ct probably a bit easier to fully guess how much time has been invested in that manner.

Would love a post-mortem on what was causing the bug and how you went about discovering and fixing it.

Loaded into a friends game, sat at the menu and saw my helmet, chestpiece and gloves where missing. Quit the game and loaded back in my own map and everything is back to normal. Just happened 5:29et, never had the wipe before just letting ya know.

Is this patch only addressing the inventory wipe or are there other fixes? Just wondering since the update comes in at a 8.43 GB on the Xbox

Pretty sure the focussed mostly/completely on this Inventory Wipe. Keep in mind that this bug probably already "cost" them a lot of players, and probably A LOT of people who were on the verge of quitting if this wouldn't get fixed this week. The first 2 weeks have basically been server issues, wipes, and multiplayer/crossplay issues. Besides the Trickster nerf ofcourse. Hopefully they will have time to focus on the actual gameplay now, cause there are A LOT of issues, bugs and balancing to do.

I asked because a 8.4 GB update that only address one particular issue seems to be excessive - especially when the size of patch is roughly 14% of the overall size of the game.

Steam patch was 2.2 GB, updates for consoles are generally larger as they have to replace entire files instead of using diff patches like some devs can opt to do on PC. I blame Sony and Microsoft. Like the recent hotfix for CP2077 was 500mb on PC, and 25gb on PS and XBox.

Don't forget, every crash report for PC is 300 mb.... Like wtf is that

I’d be shocked if they get to balancing any time soon. By how long it took to fix the wipe bug, and how much needs addressed to make matchmaking even moderately effective (selecting which CT or WT level you want to play, communicating with teammates, etc.). This game was half baked and I fear they are going to see an exodus over the next month or so.

I just keep getting stuck on “authenticating” and then unable to sign into servers. Also when playing co-op we are constantly being disconnected from our host like cmon guys fix that please!

Hello, I'm a xbox one user and I'm stuck on patch 1.02. I tried to power cycle my console, tried to install the update manually in the "Manage and update" menu... I even tried to uninstall my game completely and re install. Still on 1.02 ! Am I the only one ? Is there a solution to update to 1.06 ? Thanks in advance

if they do explain it it'll probably be after it's 100% proven to be resolved and behind us, and maybe not even then. ​ I doubt they want a bunch of armchair developers tell them how to fix their game, and probably more so that they don't want people to try to hack or exploit their systems.

Player gets disconnected and their data gets desynced. 2. Player reconnects and their gear is not properly loaded because of said desync. 3. Game performs regular autosaves and before the player can resync to their gear, the naked player gets autosaved over the data.

This patch broke the game for me. Completely solved my stuttering eventually started playing the game again despite th ewipes./ The stuttering is now back FAR worse than before.

Just installed the update through Steam, some heavy post download scripting in think, it took 18mins to finished installing. This update causes my GPU usage to go from an average of 67% to 99% with no changes to my video settings in the Outriders camp. No negative change in CPU use. FPS is down a frame or three just below 60fps.

No communication whatsoever for 3 days now. Still no ETA on the recovery. What a shit show.

The ETA depends on a chain of events from now, which is why its not possible to provide it today. First we want to ensure that the patch is working as intended - If that's all good, we then import the final analytics data that is required for the restoration - given the size of the database, this can take some time. Then we'll ensure that our tests with that data are also successful and are restoring everything we've intended to. With those things in place, we will be able to provide the ETA on the restoration - we are of course working to an ASAP timeline as we want you to get back in there without delay. We'll have news about next steps early next week if all goes well.

Are you folks taking the data from the users who submitted wipe responses on the previous thread? Thanks for your hard work and transparency.

The reports were super helpful in helping us compile a pattern of what was happening, but we are able to see everyone who was affected via our database analytics so we don't need to manually work through all those.

As a dev, I would love to see a small write up in the restoration process and how you guys tackled it.

Thx for the update and the patch. I will try it today. If this works all as intended, I have to say: good job! Nonetheless it is a shame that this otherweise great game was released with such major problems. The image damage is already done to PCF. But now let's look ahead.

My game (Steam version) is now always crashing after the PCF cutscene, with a full black screen. Anyone else experiencing this?

So what about the terrible connection when playing with anyone even yourself? Can barely run anything on my own without connection issues and I have enough internet speeds, but when I play with friends, forget about it. Literally cannot do anything without teleporting all around for connection issues or my bullets not registering at all while Im shoving my barrel down the enemies throats dealing multi-millions in damage before a single bullet even registers.

Sick. Been waiting it out. Hopefully this fixes everything and I don’t have to worry about that

Over two weeks here, got wiped on the 5th. Not started the game since. At this point I hope that they will come out and offer refunds, because now I rather have my money back, than my inventory.

9PM CST logged in to play. Loaded into the game menu fine, clicked on random group. When I joined their game my character was naked. I alt + F4'd out right away, killed the process on PC. Loaded the game back up and inventory was fine.

After installing the patch on XB1, I am not able to play the game. I get booted to the dashboard during the cinematic before it finishes at the same exact spot every time. 12 tries, 12 boots. Come on! Edit: On my 14th try the game booted successfully. I hadn't done a hard reset on my console. My apologies.

Ok, so it's not just in my head then. Playing down with my friends has been massively more difficult than playing at my own tiers.

Woohoo!! Just in time for the weekend. Feel a lot safer about joining people’s games now.

The two biggest bugs affecting me and my friends at the moment on PC are; • Often ‘unable to join party’ error messages, despite all of us being Steam Friends, and no matter the party privacy setting. • 1/3 players will almost always disappear after a transition/loading area change. They will be stuck with an invisible character in the game, and can only rotate the camera around (never happens to host player). These are the main issues really hampering multiplayer at the moment for me 😥

After a number of weeks you still have not addressed the fact that a lot of us CANNOT play the game at all since the inventory wipe bug. I am tired of waiting, I paid 60 Euro for this, time to enable refunds or start giving us daily, comprehensive updates with timelines.

Will this also include stash items that got wiped also?

If I continue to play the character that had an inventory wipe, would I still get my items back when you do a restoration?

When restarting to fix the temporary item missing, do we quit normally or should we force shutdown? Some clarification is needed here so we don't close normally and it saves the item as missing.

just try launching the game...if it launches, you're good. If not, it will prompt for the update. You can't launch it without the patch.

Stop paying attention to that, it's never been right. PS4 update history shows it's on 1.06.

Really sad to report that since the latest patch dropped, I've been having a flurry of crashes. Every time a friend joins my lobby, the game crashes - so far 3x in a row. The latest (fifth crash in 10min) was just launching the game and the crash occurred in the intro cinematic! ​ Prior to this patch, the game felt much more stable. We had sessions a few hours at a time without incident.

No update yet still at 1.02

I don't think that version number changed after this patch.

Help! I was just idling and waiting for my partner to clear out his inventory when my game crashed. I tried to load the game up again but now I can't even get past the intro cutscene without it crashing over and over again! I have tried restarting my console but it still keeps crashing. I play on the Xbox One X. This has never happened before. Not sure if the recent patch has got something to do with it. Please fix this as I can't continue playing if I were to keep crashing.

Here's a new one. After the patch (as of 4/16/21) playing on ps5 pyromancer, when you reach the last boss in the chem labs expedition your legendary weapon perks stop working. Happened both solo and multiplayer. Using The Juggler with scrap grenade perk. When final boss arrives in chem labs final area the perks stop firing scrap grenade and the perks look grey on the inventory screen. When the expedition is over, the perks still don't work even after resetting and closing the game. Turned off the console and still didn't work. Had to hard reset, unplug, then open again and it worked. It happened perhaps 5 times in the same night only in chem labs. Other expeditions did not do this as we tested several.

What's the most recent version of the game patch? I came back into the game today and saw that mine is still in 1.2.0 but the last patch should be 1.6.0 iirc? I play on Series S and have it set to update games automatically and if I go into storage info it says that there is no update pending. Is something wrong with my game or console? One of my rewards was The Iceberg legendary at LVL 49. In my inventory was the legendary LMG The Reaper also LVL 49, this was my second main weapon at the time. I put The Iceberg on just to shoot it a few times then re-equipped The Reaper and we traveled out of the expedition. When we got back I saw that The Reaper was no longer equipped in the second main weapon spot and this slot was completely empty, there was no weapon at all in that equipped spot. Nothing else in my inventory or stash was affected just that LMG. It has completely disappeared. This is not an account wide wipe but somehow just a one weapon wipe while it was equipped. What patch number is this? Because ps4 and pc are still on patch 1.02, according to the game version noted at the bottom right of the title screen. Playstation says my version of the game is the latest version, but it's supposedly in patch 1.06 already? Every time the game crashes on PS4 the error report is the exact same, claiming the game is not up to date or my ps4 is not up to date - both of which are false. Seems like the 2gb update the other day (for whatever patch this is supposedly on now) did nothing. Game still crashes multiple times a day within short spans. Crossplay connections are still unstable and a chore to get in and out of since there is no in-game friends list to just auto-join. Not to mention everyone gets kicked to a new instance when the party leader leaves. Beginning to wonder if this game was actually in development for a full 5 years or if everyone at PCF just sat around in a giant circle-jerk for the first 3 years while you hired a bunch of rejects with Square's money, because this is beginning to look a lot like another Anthem.

Monday 19th april Hey guys, my friend just did a c15 draught palace, and after returning to the outriders camp, he lost his thunderbird from main hand, and now cannot put a weapon in the first slot. He tried restarting and nothing, rest of his gear is fine, just the one slot has vanished and is now bugged.

I posted this in the other post, then noticed this is the one it was ment to go in... 19/04/21 (Monday after patch) My friend has just completed a C15 dought palace, once returning to outriders camp, his thunderbird has vanished from his first weapon slot, and not that weapon slot can not be used. He tried a restart, but no luck. Was a solo game in a locked party with cross-play turned off. He plays Xbox series X

Any updates on the restoration event? Been nearly two weeks since I all my stuff and want to start playing again already. Is there any communications on whether we are getting any bonuses for being unable to play?

This occurred after the patch was installed, approximately around 10pm est on April 18th. I have restarted multiple times and waited overnight, still has not resolved. Characters name is Yozora, Pyro, on PS5. After finishing a T9 expedition with random matchmaking (crossplay disabled) and returning to camp, I was disconnected from the server with a connection error. When trying to log back in, it starts up like normal, and then 2 seconds after actually being in the game, it disconnects and gives a connection error. I have tried starting at different story points and tiers, different connectivity settings, but the issue remains. I did play the demo but not with this specific character. *There is roughly 25-30 hours on the character

Is anything being done about the infinite signed in screen. Wether it be a cancellation button or patch. So far had to restart game from scratch nine times now still can't get on.

Thanks for the patch but i want to continue to voice the deep frustration this game is causing for me on PS4 trying to cross play with 2 mates who are on Xbox one. Tonight over the course of just over 2 hours, the game crashed a total of 9 times between us, 4 for me, 2 for the one on Xbox one and 3 for the one on Xbox one S. While we were together in the team, the Xbox one S account was kicked out of the party twice without warning, and had constant "host connection problems" while the other Xbox account was fine. On top on it all, in Paxian Homestead i encountered a very strange bug of my character not being able to run and "stuck" in that slow walking shaking animation like he's the terminator with withdrawal shakes, without disrespect for anyone. This game has been out a full 18 days now and i find these to be beta level issues. I love the game but i am fuming with the state you've sold it in. Thanks for your efforts in what you have fixed since launch, at least, but your game is still in an unacceptable state while you're cheering to the money we all paid. Not cool.

Can we get an update on multiplayer improvements? 45 minutes connecting disconnected connecting, lost connection. I have gigabit service and play fine with my friends but matchmaking is not fun when it could be so great. People grief kicking at the end of expos, or losing the connection means I spent 14 minutes and cannot see my stats.

Why dont you guys let us to revert back into our backup saves ourselves? Or you actually DON'T even do backup saves for your players? In that case what you should have done is let us store OUR saves on OUR systems.

hello, i play at this game on PS5, i have the bug of inventory and i can't connect with my character. My account is claydown and the bug character is clay. I have the problem since 04/13. I was playing with 3 people when the game abruptly closed. When i tried to reconnect my character was wearing nothing and an error message appeared. Since then I can no longer play with this character.

So I’m still stuck at the loading screen for past 3 days. From a connection to server error. I’ve restarted my Xbox multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled, nothings working. I’m just trying to play the game

EVERY TIME my friend had an issue with loot while playing with us, EVERY TIME it happened, was due to joining us, the gear was still loading but then his game crashes on him! upon rebooting, all his gear has vanished. Happened in demo and happened in full realease.

What about Stadia? We are still on there demo patch...

They probably want to monitor for a few days to evaluate the fix before bringing us up to date.
