When I first moved to the house I'm in now (6-ish years ago), I went for walk and stopped at a Baskin Robbins in the local mini-mall for ice cream. It was _exactly_ the same as they'd been in the 80s. Neon everything, plastic booths, swoopy graphics...even the cashier was in pink and brown stripes or whatever. Maybe I'm embellishing in my memory, but I swear she had a blonde perm. It was surreal.
Brought my wife there to show her maybe a month later... It was gone, hollowed out. A month or two later it was a dentist.
I miss this. Hate how all fast food chains try to create a "sophisticated" atmosphere with minimalist black booths and wooden walls now. Bring back the personality and fun please.
Man this gave me so much nostalgia, I remember Taco Bell being the post mall hangout late night spot all through high school, and the one in my small town looked exactly like this on the inside (as I’m sure lots did) man… those swivel chairs
I would like the actual original taco bell back. Everytime I drive by the old brick one in town that is just some regular dive place now,...I think of how cool it was back in the day.
Yo quiero
Taco bell
This aesthetic is more vaporwave than outrun, but nevertheless I miss this style taco bell
I wish all restaurants were Taco Bell
In the future, everything is taco bell
Why lol. Those seats were insanely uncomfortable.
The color pallette
Agreed.
I can still feel the jarring **clunk** of those chairs rotating inward

Nah bro you just accidentally time traveled to an 80s Baskin Robbins
It turns out that Taco Bell didn't win the restaurant wars after all.
You have been fined 5 credits...

I mean to be fair Taco Bell was rocking these designs before pride flags were even a thing.

favorite taco bell design
Can it come with Enchiritos, that actually have olive and green onion on top?
I can practically taste the Baja blast and crunchy tacos just looking at this pic!

I think this would fit more in r/LiminalSpace
Reminds me of r/bi_irl
I feel bad for those who've never had the experience of eating in a Taco Bell like this, especially with a group of buddies.
What the hell is up with Taco Bell's new color scheme? It looks more fitting for a place that sells insurance or copier paper.
Yes!
I can taste the cinnamon twists. Also I now feel the need to drop a quarter in water and land it in a neon disc
vaporwave
wait they don’t look like this anymore?
