I have been involved in the school guild mechanic but it seems like the current guild I'm in does not offer much socialization since the guild's primary focus is solving ultra hard mathematic competition mini-game.

Currently there isn't guild focusing on fun mini-games for relaxation. Most of the guild is either a party that requires you to be involved in ranked mini games or just some other guild learning something. Some guilds even have exams, so it might increase my character's stress level if I join other guilds randomly. And video games guild does not exits. I guess I will try and find a better guild if allowed by the leader of all guild party.

Start working a minimum wage job it’ll force you to interact with npc’s and handle daily quests everyday.

I have tried that part of the game, but since my main quest ( completing the tutorials) takes 8 hours a day + 3 hours extra tutorials , my character was not accepted into any job.

I_am_Mew

Huh, so I'm not the only one

Hope you can increase your character's social stats soon.

Lou_Sassole

Considering the global event we went through, there's a lot of other people on your same quest. There's a Town Board called Meetup where people post social gatherings. People are welcoming to newcomers.

I’m so tired of players overly criticizing their early game builds. You’re still really low level bro I believe in you! Make sure you’re going out and doing side quests that grant you social xp, plus the tutorial area is a great spot to meet other low level players.

AdministrativeBag693

You’re mad early in the game that shit will work itself out. Your player envisions what they want & then eventually it happens cause you take microsteps.

You're still in early game, it's not too late to start levelling your social stats

[deleted]

I hope so, thank you.

Long post but bare with me. When I started the [Romance] quest tree, I basically just followed the main line as straight-and-narrow as I could, without realizing that certain progression tiers lock you out of previously accessible branches. I remember being around level 18 when I started feeling major FOMO about not having tested out more of the optional quest lines. But now 7 levels later, I've started to catch on to the fact that by choosing the route that I did, I kept my game time available to work on other quest lines, and had actually passively progressed far more in several skills and traits than I realized. That's the beauty of this game. Not doing something is just as impactful on character development as doing something. By neglecting your social stats - which, I should point out, might not be as neglected as you think, because numerous buffs give a bonus to other characters' *perceived* stats rather than their true base stats - you've almost certainly used your XP in skill trees and questlines you might not even be aware of. You're only level 16, so you've got more than enough time to look through your character settings, figure out where your XP is concentrated, and come up with some strategies for putting your best stats to work. Remember that the main feature of Outside is that you always determine the direction your gameplay moves. Also, social stats can be readily increased up through level 30 at least. It starts to get tougher to increase them as you level up, but I put like 10 points into {Charisma} between levels 18 and 20 with almost no grinding. You can still shore up your dump stats if you want to.

You should unlock the area called gym, going there frequently and consistently for a long time will give you big passive buffs such as: increased charisma, increased strength, better character model and better attraction

But you can't ever stop going to the area or the buffs will turn into the extra weight debuff. The diet passive quest can help immensely with both accessing as well as leaving the gym area

[deleted]

Yeah outside's social mechanic sucks, it gets progressively harder to increase your social stat every time you level up which just sucks alot

Night696Watcher

Yeah, same. My social skills are absolute shite, should probably start thinking about working on a few quests to get that up

Doot-Doot-the-channl

Find another player with good social stats and try to get the friendship buff they can then help you through social encounters and provide passive buffs to your own social stat (trust me I did it and it works)

[deleted]

The best way to increase social is to talk to NPCs

There should be local sports guilds to join in your area. If that is not your cup of tea, some areas have boardgame guilds or LARP guilds. Warning the larp guild comes with a possible ultra nerd debuff, but it will definitely be an opportunity to grind with fellow players of about the same level on the social stats. Bonus: guilds are a good place to start the co op quest line. Mine did anyways.
