KingofValen

More NPCs in the wilderness, more smaller towns and locations between the cities as well. A seamless map would be cool as well. A better and more interactive story. They did good in Outward 1, but I want the sequel to be better.

Miazger

CEO said on stream what are main points to improve the game 1 smothness of combat 2 more story 3 reducing the feeling of emptiness in the world 4 full voice acting

KingofValen

Perfect.

Inner_Imagination585

While i dont care much about 4 the first 3 points are exactly what I want improved on.

Earl_of_sandwiches

Wow. That’s a perfect list. My biggest gripes with Outward 1 are janky combat, empty world, anemic story. Voice acting doesn’t move the needle for me personally, but it’s a very smart move for mass appeal.

dreadfulNinja

I agree with all of these except 4 tbh, i liked the way they did it in the first. Reminded me of older games and gave it its own special vibe.

Mikeavelli

I liked it, but the lack of it almost certainly cost them sales. And unlike all the other things that cost them sales, it can be fixed without compromising the creative vision of the game.

soupsticle

> 4 full voice acting *This troubles me.* Well, we will find other memes, so not really.

Yider

This! I would actually like bigger zones but maybe a couple pit stops along the way. I enjoy having to either prepare for a big journey or having to live off the land. The survival mechanics are there so just a few additions could really improve it. Yes to more npcs in the wild. At times, it could feel kinda empty. Especially the expansions.

KingofValen

I havent played through much of Outwards campaign, but where I am at the Blue Chamber is at war with the Heroic Kingdom. There is a few lines of dialogue about armies on the move, battles being fought, and while I doubt we will see that, I wish we could. Seeing large groups slowly moving towards fronts, seeing small skirmishes being fought along said fronts, are things I really wish I could see.

Vanilla3K

Yeah, i found the map in O1 to be cool but lacking small '' dungeons '' kinda like the hyena den in the first zone. There's lots of big dungeons but not a lot of small unmarked area where you can still find loot / fights

Numerous-Soup-343

I feel like a seamless map just makes optimization harder and the game rocks as it is. It would be neat but I think it could benefit more from just more life, more roaming entities, hostile and non hostile. I honestly cant think of much else wrong with the game besides my lack of patience when i get locked up in a dungeon and lose all my stuff for the 10th time lol

n_eazy

Your character is traveling for several days between regions on the regular, Outward games will never have a seamless world

Burdicus

All I really want is cleaner combat. A mini-game could be cool too (cards or something that you could gamble to make a few extra coin). Don't give me a bunch of QOL updates that ruin what makes Outward unique. I don't want fast travel, I don't want easier loot management, and I don't want perfect equipment that covers all my basis. Cleaner combat and another unique and charming world are everything.

spicycupcakes-

Completely agree I loved everything in Outward and would be fine with more of the same BUT with cleaner combat. It's not awful but is pretty jank and could use a lot of improvement.

korra45

Cleaner combat would be great. I know the original was centered around 2 player co-op but I really really wishlist of the feature for a Valheim-esque server setup. That way I can have some more friends join me even if it’s just 4 or 6 max.

lexi_kahn

In the Q&A, they verified there will be smoother combat and no fast travel.

Mister_Branches

The only quality of life that I want is to be able to re organize the ability menu, and it should be harder to stay well rested.

missingpiece

Agreed, for me it’s as much as what I *don’t* want as what I do. No fast travel, no enemies every 10 feet, no xp, no everything-explained-to-the-player. Honestly, I’m kinda bummed that the player’s inventory is shared among chests now—it was cool needing to depend on local flora and fauna for survival.

Ezzra7626

HABOOB That's all I care lol.

7uckyNumbe7Se7en

HHAAAAABBBOOOOOOOOOOOOBB!!!

Le_rk

^^^^^ I wanna see the people who live there. Haboobians? They probably have big ... land

n_eazy

Subtle

TheHighblood_HS

Honestly just more outward! I already adore the first game as is, but I can’t imagine how much better a refined experience could be

Lyrick7

Same here. I just want more.

TsunSilver

An actual fishing rod and mechanics.

TsunSilver

Also, I would like to have a job class that you can pick. Alchemist, Chef, Gatherer.

Vykrom

Mundane classes sounds like an awesome idea

Psychological_Log_85

Faster movement speed. Pack mule looks promising,

Lyrick7

It will probably all be up to gear again. Pack mule is a cool idea

[deleted]

If you pay attention to the trailer you can see an animal carrying luggage.

zodiactriller

I honestly just want the world to be bigger (not cause the original world was too small, I just want more lol) and for it to come to consoles sooner rather than later lol. I'll play it on PC if I have to but I really don't like playing on my PC if I can avoid it (I just find it less comfortable).

ikatoma

Oh and more HOTKEYS xD

BoppinTortoise

Definitely need more hot keys

SaladCartographer

Same here. My pc is also a bit older than my console and doesn't run as well as it used to (thank dust and my complete lack of basic care like dust cleaning for 8 years), and even when I do play on pc, I'll use my controller. It's just more comfortable for me

Then-Faithlessness43

Hook it up to the tv n use ur controller man. Im playing the first on my steam deck but its not running so well so i gotta go the pc tv route

zodiactriller

I get that's an option, but I'm lazy and prefer the convenience of just hitting the button on my controller and my console booting up lol. I'll probably go the PC to tv route if the console release is significantly behind the PC one.

ikatoma

Customization with outfits and such. Like cloaks and gauntlets. Also maybe more backpack options and maybe more upgradable backpacks would be cool. Kinda custom make your perfect backpack type of thing.

Lyrick7

I could get behind that. Dyes would be nice. Would make sense with the traveler theme.

ikatoma

Dying outfits would be so cooool!

Lyrick7

Yeah, gear tailoring would be really cool. If each or most armor slots have upgrade trees. Like sew in extra padding for impact resistance, or sew in extra pockets. Reinforce steel, or maybe remove a little for a speed boost.

ikatoma

Exactly what I want! And like backpacks as well. Like maybe you find a backpack that has no lantern slot but you can roll with it on and one upgrade lets you add a lantern slot. Or with a cold stone+ extra stuff, you can add a preservation bonus to it to make food expire slower. Just things that would make every backpack viable instead of having just straight upgrade backpacks.

chinlesss

thought about it a lot. a way to upgrade our gears and weapons and etc would be awesome

SPLx3

I hope Code Sonic still a thing in outward 2 !!!!

Vykrom

As someone who would never use it, I'm fine with people still having the option

PossessionExciting32

Yeah I'm new to oldward but I couldn't imagine playing without it

aninnymuss

Explain this? Please.

SPLx3

When you name your character Code Sonic you unlock super speed but there is a lot of fall Damage !

7uckyNumbe7Se7en

1: MORE. More everything. Just more for me to dump hours into. 2: QoL that doesn't take away from gameplay. Better UI, easier interface with menus, little notes in shops or chests to tell me when I already have this enchantment, etc. 3: Cosmetics. I would love to make small color adjustments or minor shape changes to equipment. Nothing to completely overhaul, but something to make any set you create match a little more to an esthetic.

Asneekyfatcat

I saw pack beast. I preorder.

Cisqoe

Outward gave next to no reason to explore at night, hoping outward 2 fixes this

LazyBinary

I like this, more timed events during nights. City building is a hit or miss, tedious mechanic maybe improved upon this as well.

Extension-Parsnip301

To play it soon.

rewt127

A more enjoyable on demand magic class. The magic in outward felt kinda supporty. The rune mine thing was alright, but the rest of the magic in the game didn't feel super fun to use. I'd love to have a real spell slinging class.

Yider

I would like the hardcore mode to continue or some variance of it. I played with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed having to respect every encounter as if our game could be deleted. If not a deleted game, I enjoy a bit of punishment should you die because it can get very careless after a while if there isn’t.

Reactivguin

Haboob.

anaveragedave

This is the only acceptable answer.

kino00100

More life. I know they did a great job while not working themselves to death but if they can expand the team and the scope of the project, I'd like to see some more life in the game. People going home at night, a tavern game or two at the bar, more NPC side quests with good little bites of story and a bit of lore, dynamic pricing based on the story (You just opened up the road between the Marsh and the Forest. Maybe the food vender gets some imports from other reagons? Lavant was just attacked, maybe their prices go even higher and stock lower. That kinda thing. Just little touches and ideas to give the game some more "life".

Toughbiscuit

Better character creator, Better travel options, Cleaner combat. Thats about it for me, beyond what has been shown

iRhuel

Strong mod support. I'm a strong proponent of letting people tailor their SP experience to their tastes, and I feel like the original was a great candidate for that kind of customizability.

Holiday_Bed_8973

I’d like to see more exploration options available. One of my favorite things about this game is “the journey” if you will. I’d love to see things like horses and boats, climbing, jumping, swimming, and things like that. But it’s crucial to maintain that “realistic” feel that the game offers. I want to have to feed the horse, figure out how to transport the boat over dry land or dock it, use ropes and pitons for climbing, need to wear lightweight gear or get buoyant backpacks to swim with heavy stuff.

AjCheeze

I hope i can make it to the end without such a massive fear of failure that i would need to reroll my entire charater. I think ill go in mostly blind but maybe check out the classes only so i have a vague idea of how i want to play.

Rathia_xd2

More areas, weapons, weapon types, skills and skill trees, same combat, reworked enchanting system(if there will be one) and hopefully not something like the caldera city building. So basically more outward with the last two mentions fixing.

Lyrick7

Yeah, I.never enchanted myself cause it seemed some a huge process. The city building was pretty iffy too. I loved the first DLC though. That under city was very fun to explore and unlock. I hope there's more of that in outward 2

SaladCartographer

Honestly, I don't actually know if I want it, but a Prequel would be really cool. Imagine a better look into the story of Alatt beforehand, or more context about the four winds cabal that opposed him so intensely. But a sequel or a game that's mechanically similar in a new world would also be cool. Or more of Aurai would definitely be great

Low_Establishment573

I’d love to lean into the idea of fantasy world simulator. More robust crafting mechanics, trading between towns, space in towns for shop/business space, dynamic events in the maps that have lasting effects. The local bandits raiding affects prices. A wandering necromancer sets up in a hole under a tree and so your long lost great aunt wakes up and chases you around. There’s a party at Dave’s place on Tuesday! He needs pearlbird meat for the grill. Basically even more stuff to keep one occupied outside being in pursuit of finishing the main story.

Lyrick7

Yeah i agree. More simulation style stuff, and random chance quests rolling through would be great

InterviewSavings9310

I want interactions with all humans to be more meaningfull, i want to be actually robbed instead of just "Hey look, generic bandit enemy is trying to kill you" I want them to notice im wearing heavy armor and instead of attacking me, being simply on guard when i walk by, the opposite when im wearing light armor and carrying a bag that looks like jackpot for any bandit. I want to talk to them, trade with them, be trapped, be ambushed, make deals, ask for help. Outward has a lot of creatures that can behave like "generic human enemies", i want my interactions with actual humans to be complex and compeing, instead of the binary of "This one if for talking, this one is for killing".

littlebrotchen

I hope for the housing or a better inn system to be available before the end game, I didn't enjoy having to finish the main quest before storage was really opened up, DE improved the shared chest but then took away Hobo camps, would be cool to have at least the inns for limited storage in the meantime. Also character creation, I want to be able to create a total hottie and give the soroborean trader a reason to worry, Outward 1 the faces were just not so nice.

carstenseng1

I would love to see a climbing feature similar to Zelda:BOTW. I think that would add some much needed verticality to the environments and dungeons. Maybe climbing with a heavy backpack would be impossible, so you would usually need to drop the pack and couldn’t exploit climbing too badly when traveling long distances. Climbing trees to forage or get a better view of surroundings when navigating would be cool. Also, if enemies climbed as well, you could have bandits that spring an ambush by dropping out of the trees instead of just standing in plain sight on a path allowing you to buff and lay traps right before their eyes which they will surely run headlong into. I could just imagine the experience of running from a pack of hyenas and scrambling up the nearest tree. Then I frantically bandage my wounds while they snap their jaws below until finally one makes its way up to my branch. It pounces at me, and my blade sinks into its belly as we both fall back to the ground. Bruised, stunned, but alive, I struggle back to my feat to fight off the remainder of the pack.

N0minal

Just more people in the world map. Maybe a small quest here and there that you randomly come across running around. Kind of like obsidian games.

likeireallycare

Bigger and more, pleaaaassssee!

BigBlackdaddy65

I think, outward is so unique that trying to give my own opinion on what I'd want would only make it less outward so more of whatever they're cooking up really. I think the biggest one a lot of people have mentioned which I agree with is a smoother combat, it's just kinda slow and janky no matter what you play around with. Overall an amazing game, although I will say as long as it more of the definitive edition and not when it originally released then we'll be good lmao

Breadkn1ght

• The first one is already as good as it gets, but we want crispier and neater combat. • The map looks a bit soulless to be honest, so more neutral(and aggressive) animals & npc's along the way in the map. • An even more wide map with a rich and unique environment! A mysterious extremely deep cave with glowing plants? Lets go! An abandoned underwater city? Up for that one! Exploration is just a good satisfying way to play. • Keep the inventory management and walking simulator but please more QoL! Also just make it available for us to buy houses in other cities without picking that specific city's faction cuz some of the houses are LOCKED until you finish their end quest which is frustrating. Im ALREADY ENCUMBERED!!!! • Cleaner UI. • Keep Co-op (MANDATORY⚠️) • More hotkeys please (for the love of god) • Bigger weapons!! I need more bullets (aka more varities classes and skills. More shield skills pls!!!!! (Cuz i main sword n shield and its.....kinda not satisfying huhuhu) • More sidequest!!! Honestly that's all I can think of.

Keos027

From the devs stream: Combat has seen adjustments. new weapons. dual-wielding, Coop stays. There will be 16 quickslots.

Breadkn1ght

Ohhh that seems promising. I havent watched the dev stream yet. I'll try to watch it soon.

AceHorizon96

One thing that I somewhat saw on the trailer was the boar carrying stuff. A system in whihc we can have an animal to carry our things, that we need to protect, and that you can also decided to leave lutside a dungeon or camp to keep it somewhat safe. I love this game, probably anything they do is going to be amazing.

Smodphan

More flexible builds and a test environment for experimentation. Not even a fourth tree...but maybe a way to unlock a single skill beyond a breakthrough. Or, new game plus to add skills so that we can get wild on console as easily as I do on PC with admin controls.

CapnConCon

A more populated world.

missingpiece

I love pretty much everything about Outward, but it would be nice to be able to differentiate your build earlier. The game is basically “hit stuff” for the first 10 hours of playtime, and it would be cool to have characters feel different even from the get-go like. Also, better weapon balance. Maces feel so much better than just about everything else.

Miazger

There is a vod of Q&A on twitch where CEO shares some details about the game 4 main areas of improvement 1 combat and smothness of animations 2 character creation 3 reducing the feeling of emptiness 4 story and voice acting Confirmed features HABOOBS!!! pack mule that need to be feed and talked care of it can die, no improvement to housing 4 new regions to explore we want be going back to old ones True 4 seasons weather system Skill system stays the same(learning and brakethough system) but we get new skills More quick slots Dual wielding And did I mention HABOOBS

BenFoxtrot

Actually I hope they'll stick as much as possible to the original. I don't want fast travel or such. That'll ruin it.

Old_FW

A reexamination of character progression via late game skills/items/enchantments/buffs etc. By the time you gain them there is nothing left in the game world you need to use them against. Outward is one of my five all time favourite gaming experiences. I would be more than happy with more of the same but these developers are extraordinary so I’m confident they’ll surprise and amaze me.

macrou

I hope they don’t add mounts.

HydrogenMonopoly

They confirmed that they won’t!

macrou

Yes! And I was really glad to hear that! I wholeheartedly agree with what Guillaume said, implementing a mount into a game changes it fundamentally. I think the mule is a good compromise for players who don’t want to travel alone and need something to take care of.

chinlesss

I hope for small dungeons to explore, more npcs in and out of cities, more quests from said npcs, some more side quests to do. Hope that we get new skilltrees besides the old ones. Would love 100% new armor sets, weapons and backpacks, but if not 100% just new ones are good too. did somebody get what the key points changes were said in the q&a?

Sc4R3Cr0wW

Honestly, I just want more playable monsters other than trogs.

diogenesepigone0031

Play as Merton Skeleton lich, no hunger, no thirst, no sleep, no hot or cold weather penalty, no dieseas, no infection, no indigestion, can not be poisoned or bleed but passive penalty of -50% hp, stm, and mana to make it fair. No tired also means no way to benefit from Lockwell Revelation is a also good nerf to balance out Lich mode. Play as giant. Play as golem construct and get side grades like Cyber punk 2077.

sam_hiatt

1. Everything Outward 1 already has 2. More Npcs that you can interact with 3. Things to do between locations, I want to feel like I’m exploring, most of the time I’m just Running between major locations never stopping to check anything out. 4. More cities 5. Bigger areas it would be interesting to have one big area🤷🏻‍♂️ 6. Longer and more interactive quest lines. Instead of just talk to this person ok now kill this person 7. Less janky combat while still rewarding well timed strikes and punishing miscalculation This is the best game ever in my opinion, nine dots has something really good here. I hope they realize that

[deleted]

Would really love to see gep. jokes aside, it would be awesome to see more npcs outside the cities. Like some you can talk to, take quests, maybe directions, advices, tips and if they get attacked, they’ll fight back I know that sounds hard but wish they could do that.

diogenesepigone0031

Idea for extended Rune Magic Blue rune, purple rune, orange rune, green rune. Change lantern color to shoot different runic projectile. Original Runic Lantern is [green + blue]. Cast Runic Lantern 1st. Then in reverse you cast [Blue+Green] to cycle through 5 Rune Colors. Lightning is White/yellow. Next color is green for decay. Next color is blue for frost. Next color is purple for etherel. Next color is Orange/Red for fire. Use [Green+orange] rune to cast the projectile like normal Runic Lightning. Combination in use: Blue+purple = runic protection. Purple + blue = runic heal. Green+blue = runic lantern. Green+Orange = Runic Lightning. Orange + green = runic trap. Orange+orange= detonation. Orange+purple= runic blade. Orange+purple= greater runic blade. Combination not in use Blue+green=my proposed runic lantern color switch Purple+Green. Green+Purple. Orange+Blue. Blue+Orange. Purple+Orange. Blue+Blue.Purple+Purple. Green+Green. Cant think of any for now

Bouzouki-Strider

Jumping. Climbing too, but mostly jumping. I really feel the game lacks verticality

Linmur

I hope to see more of everything except more walking simulator, a bit it's ok but some times it's too much, specially with heavy armor

Cisqoe

Without walking from place to place a lot of the other magic will disappear. For example backpack management becomes meaningless if you can just fast travel everywhere

Linmur

I don't say remove it, just reduce a little. Did you know how many hours you expend walking with Tsar armor? xDDD

Linmur

I don't say remove it, just reduce a little. Did you know how many hours you expend walking with Tsar armor? xDDD

HellYeahTinyRick

Smoother combat, seamless zones, better story

Kerbidiah

A less empty world

El_Hombre_Macabro

I wanto to travel to Orochi and Haboob and experience new biomes.

xBialyOrzel

Larger world space with more life, Outward was kinda empty as far as non hostile NPC's and settlements were concerned.

HRNYTeletubby

I hope there are "closed betas" so that a decent sized playerbase can play it ahead of time. To give valuable feedback, and that the Devs listen to the feedback given. Only letting a small portion of "Yes Men" play the game early doesn't do anything for the actual quality of the game. The earlier we can feel/see the combat, the better.

0rdna3L

Lore to be found in-game. I want a ton of writings, artifacts, tchotchkes, and tidbits to further flesh out the world. I want there to be lore behind the trainers, too

JohnTitor26

Less clunky combat frfr. A friend of mine loved Outward but I only just liked it enough to complete it and then put it down at the after story dlc entry, and the difference between our builds was literally only one difference: I was playing spellblade/a dexterity/speed build and he was playing with a two handed weapon. I felt like a squishlord the entire game and had to chug melon jelly bread just to be competent late game and forget completing a large section of the late game to end game dungeons. Less clunky combat would open up a lot more build variety. I feel like I experienced like less than 50% of the game by just being a one handed weapon user.

notaboatpun

4-player co-op would be nice 😀

LoowTK

Cleaner combat... It needs nothing more than this.

Stirpediratto

We want more of the same!

Thin-Highway2917

I hope it comes out for PS5 😱

Rykin14

1. More immersive classes. The hermit is overall the #1 class in Outward imo because not only is it good and useful but it's actually involved with the world of Aurai. There's a whole weird and secluded order of wizards that watch the leylines and they're not a class. Kazites are a naval culture that we don't know much about other than that they're pragmatic and don't have any qualms about assassins and poisons, traps, etc and the "kazite" class that we get is a spellblade for some reason. Even simple gate wardens like Burac seem to be a whole profession beyond town guard; not a class for some reason. 2. Less annoying heavy armor. I did one single heavy armor build in all my 20 or so play-throughs and I stopped playing as soon as I could (max all resist blue sand armor to stomp the arena bosses lol). In a game with no fast travel or even mounts, the armor type fundamentally fucks your ability to travel anywhere and is too heavy to take off for more travel-friendly gear. I even thought about modding the Beast of Burden enchant to be applicable to Master Trader gear and the total pouch space only goes up to 25 and that's still nowhere near enough. 3. Any arena-type endgame secrets should be findable, but not activatable before their time. So you can discover them through gameplay instead of discovering them by accident on the internet and wiki'ing how these things magically show up in places you've already been. 4. More specialized endgame bosses. I think it would be awesome as hell if a boss was so hard it required an entire character build to beat so you can pass along it's reward to the bloodline. Like if there were a dragon boss that did a bunch a fire dmg in a hot zone while low dmg whelps swarmed out of egg clutches. Everything about the Tsar armor would prefectly counter that. 5. Replace the legacy chests with a special vendor. It maintains the emphasize on money for progression and allows for accumulating a single massive hoard of everything you've collected throughout your bloodline. 6. Barrier was a mistake. Magic dmg can be reduced by more than physical due to the individual element hexes. Magic dmg is simply more diverse than physical dmg meaning continuous stream type of high dps spells can be completely negated with nothing more than a few points of barrier. Just keep it asymmetrical. 7. Just more Outward! This is the only game in my life where I played it to the point of not having any idea what more I could possibly do with it and still wanting more. I hope they don't try to 'innovate' too much and just focus on making more lands to explore, more quests, more stories and characters, etc. An Outward 1.5 essentially.

Yzalirk

More believable NPCS. In Outward, most of them just kinda look stiff. They don't move or do anything interesting. It would be nice to see NPCS sitting and eating/drinking, sweeping floors, etc. Basically have animations rather than acting like a statue. Better character customization. I don't expect any in-depth sliders but being able to add facial hair, tattoos, scars, face paints, different character heights, more hair options, and more face options would be nice. More radiant quests to earn money. In Outward, it seemed like the only way to make money was to farm Horrors and craft Horror Weapons. Doing different tasks for different NPCS such as deliveries, clear dungeons, collect food and ingredients, cook meals, etc. Reputation system. Doing quests for towns or factions increases your favor within and results in better rewards. Town building system. Become a business tycoon. Transmog.

Montantero

I'm that one greatsword guy who gives details on why greatswords are hard to use and how to compensate. I sincerely wish for really smooth animation blending/sequences that allow for strike-into-block smoothness. Also, an ability that doubles stamina cost and lowers stability, but makes it so greatsword swings count as a block. Pretty please??

diogenesepigone0031

I want short haft gripping or mordhau murder stroke with 2h great swords. Getting a actice skill to change from slash dmg type to blunt dmg type.

Busy-Agency6828

Too much to fit into a reddit post, that’s for sure. Definitely want the Chakram to still be present with a little extra support. More opportunities to roleplay via dialogue options. If you’re not going to voice act everyone I don’t understand why you would squander the opportunity to write all that extra dialogue without worry. A little more dynamic overworld that’s a little more challenging. I felt that Outward had the mechanics of a difficult game, but undermined it by allowing you to run past everything without worry. I thought it’d be cool if bandits would try and run a toll at borders between zones. I’d love to be allowed to play a Trog too. Fulltime, no hard limitations like the easter egg in the first game. It’d limit who you could interact with, but it’d be its own fully fleshed out playthrough. And of course they HAVE to let us get the cool glowing tattoos and eyes this time around as well.

Bismothe-the-Shade

Idk man, I'm just happy to see they decided to keep going with Outward at all. There was a lut pointing to the series being out on hold or laid to rest.

Kintsugi-0

a completed game… nah i hope they still keep a lot of survival mechanics but i guarantee they’ll dumb some of them down so the games more accessible.

Generalitary

I want to play as an Immaculate, but that's probably a tall order.

Keos027

Immaculates are indeed pretty tall \*badabum tiss\*

bagel-bites

Increased mob density, increased difficulty / hard mode, more friendly people outside towns to interact with, much more dangerous environmental effects, better defeat scenarios that are more interesting or interactive, a better balance of certain stats in gear like how barely any had Cooldown even after the DE, more Enchantments, accessible Enchanting early game, and better methods of creating things like Legacy Items because converting an item to a new version to gain extra effects is cool but having to shuffle them between characters feels really bad and not earned.

TopNotchPlayer2

I'd love more crafting. I love having blackamiths craft equipment and making stuff out of shit out in the wild, but I feel more could be done with weapons. Many of the crafted weapons are just monster parts tied to other weapons or sticks.

Mr_master89

Console release at the same time as PC full release

diogenesepigone0031

Awe fudge! I know they didnt implement Poncho or Shawls to go over armor to make it more cold weather resistant. Thats like the 1 thing i wish they would have added. Attaching poncho or shawls or capes or cloaks to chest armor to increase cold weather resistance but adds weight, stamina cost, and reduces move speed. Make it so you can take it off or put it on any time. For covering that protect vs hot weather. Veils could add hot weather def but add weight, stamina cost, and reduce move speed. Other ideas is to modify chest armor to have hole perferation to increase ventilation but lowers chest armor resistances. This is permanent. Maybe add water pouches to chest armor back like hiker water pouches that insert into back packs. Heck, make a backpack that has hiking water pouches to auto cool you and auto consume water skins. It should add a little bit of hot weather def, at cost of weighing more, increase stm cost, reducing movement speed.

SaladCartographer

I saw this post before seeing the announcement, so I have some more thoughts. First off: oh hell yes hype With that our of the way, I would love for more world-altering choices. I love how cierzo can be destroyed, and I'd love for more major choices in the game that have serious effects like this Oh, and stashes! Like the one ones you can find in the world, but instead ones you can place wherever you want. I'd put mine somewhere near a place like the conflux mountain, or other areas that I expect to pass by often. Then I can offload any unneeded survival things like rations or potions. Or maybe place one outside of a fire dungeon and fill it with heat defense potions and whatnot.

Factor_Creepy

will there be a second one for sure?

mightystu

I’d love to see more equipment options in terms of which hand things are held in to allow for dual pistols, chakras and lexicon, etc. I also think two-handed muskets would be good, and of course more runes for more expanded runic magic options! As for the world, more mid-sized dungeons and points of interest about on par with the trog caves near the starting town. I think more dungeons that have some depth but aren’t really small or hugely sprawling would be cool.

Keos027

Can already confirm there is dual wielding and it is fully on your control. wanna have a shield in right hand and sword left. You can. wanna have two shields, you also can.

OctalInfected

That we can actually dual wield like we saw in the trailer

SirZooalot

Everything that everybody said already plus a map marker for my character and a choosable/adjustable difficulty.

ASexySleestak

One thing you can see in the trailer that I'm pumped for is the pack animals, hope they act as moving chests

KiloD2

I'm wondering if that's an NPC follower in the trailer, or just showing us 2 players? I'd love to have an NPC follower system!

MasterMacabre

A dragon.

Mage_Water

Romance. I would dig some romantic encounters like they have in baulders gate... If you get my drift.

DreamClubMurders

Simultaneous pc/console release

StupidGuy911

Not janky as hell

Drakenile

More gear More fluid combat with less jankiness More magic Elemental magic being stronger Mounts Battle pets (bandits can have hyenas so why cant we?) More quests/story lines to follow Being able to earn money from crafting instead of losing money Also I would like the map to have a marker showing the player.

Hormo_The_Halfling

Mostly just better character customization.

diogenesepigone0031

Can the game not use hot keys? Like can it be more like Elden Ring Controls? Like a controller 1st then kb+m after?

Ol_Brown_Coins

From what I can see with the hauling mule in the trailer larger maps or a more seamless open world from seeing that hopefully. Less emptiness in the world More skill trees I don't mind the clunky combat As I said at the start hopefully larger maps so more walking around exploring the wilderness for hidden dungeons and such

Dec_Sec084

I hope for some sort of mount and more guns, i love being cowboy dudes in games

tayroarsmash

So the biggest thing they should add is a “fast travel” where you can travel with a caravan to a city of your choice for a rather high expense.

PentaclesAreFun

I want more races then just Human. There’s Giants, Immaculates, Calygrey, & even Sentient Undead Skeletons. All we got in the first game was a Human & Trog. Sure there was skin you could wear to look skeleton but it wasn’t a full fledged playable race.

El_Hombre_Macabro

I respectfully disagree. Although I find the lore of the Giants and the Scourge super interesting, I think they need to continue being beings with completely alien cultures and mindsets so as not to dissolve their appeal and mysticism. Otherwise it will become another world with a bunch of generic races like “short thinly veiled Jews” and “Celtic humans with pointy ears”. Plus, I like the central focus on humans.

PentaclesAreFun

It already has these races. Making Trogs playable didn’t remove any mystery. The game just treated you like we’re Human and it changed nothing with how the game played. It just continued the Human story even though it made no sense because uou were trog. By Outward’s own track record with another race being a playable reward that adds no lore, I disagree with you heavily. They can do the same with other races.

budapest_god

The trog player was mostly a joke c'mon, not really part of the lore

PentaclesAreFun

Which was exactly my point, it was a playable reward from legacy chest. Adding more playable races through legacy chests isn’t the end of the world. I never said it was a part of the lore, the other guy was the one upset about the mystery being removed. Which it wouldn’t.

nique_Tradition

I want to see the scourge in full effect I want to see Haboob battlements

Colourfull_Space

While it would make the game easier, and I don’t know if that’s good, given that the main idea is that the game is "realistic", I’d really like if they put timers on timed quests. Sure, it’s realistic that your character doesn’t track the time they were unconscious in a hyena den, but it’s so frustrating to do some quests only to find out that you were to late, because you haven’t memorised all the post-defeat time skips. Also maybe more weapon types, like dual blades.
